I wanted to obtain the previous at-home PT exercises/program but no one answers the phone and no one ever calls back (even text messages are not replied to) which is extremely frustrating. On the other hand, they were quick to call back to schedule something (and take my money). I will not be supporting a place that is only interested in my out of network payment and not the interest of their patients.

In-Network Status Not Honored / Intentional Overbilling I…read moream writing this to warn other parents--particularly those with HSA plans--about the billing practices at Hands On Care (Saba Kamal). Despite being listed as an in-network provider, this office overcharged my client by more than $600+ beyond the insurance-contracted rate. When the EOBs (Explanation of Benefits) confirmed the overpayment, the office refused to issue a refund. Most telling was the provider's own admission; when questioned about the overcharge, she stated: 'I cannot make money with the rates that Anthem allows me to charge. I would have to bill you for two visits.' This is a clear 'bait and switch' tactic. A provider cannot agree to in-network status to attract patients and then unilaterally decide to charge more than the contracted rate because they find it more profitable. We escalated this to the insurance carrier and filed a formal grievance. The insurance company ruled in our favor, yet Hands On Care still refuses to return the client's money. It is highly unethical to take advantage of parents trying to care for their children. Furthermore, the care plan was underwhelming, and my client eventually sought treatment elsewhere. Do not trust this office to honor their in-network obligations

Dr. Kevin Conway assessed my running gate and worked with me for 3 months to help me return to running regularly and safely. He customized exercises and stretches to help build up my strength so I felt more stable and strong in my runs. During PT sessions, Kevin would consistently check my form. He would also adjust my PT work out to push me to get stronger as well as adapt the work out as new issues would arise. Kevin's calm, positive demeanor was reassuring and encouraging. I've worked with many PTs over the years but always ended up re-injuring myself eventually when returning to running. However I feel that my honest feedback could be valuable to other people like myself who choose based on reviews. I also hope that this can help them improve the care they provide. If you're seeking actual assessment, progress, and recovery for an injury, I would not recommend this practice. I felt that there was no attempt to actually understand what my issue was. After a super brief assessment consisting of mostly just questions, I was told it was probably just muscle tightness. My next several appointments consisted of riding the bike, being asked from 1-10 how much pain, and then performing a really weak series of stretches, and being told I can go ice at home. For how much physical therapy costs, I found this really disappointing. Each time I came in I reported that it felt the same, and it didn't feel any different after leaving, sometimes it actually felt worse. When I asked what the plan was, it was to just continue on for 6 weeks, and if that didn't resolve it, to go my doctor for a scan. It felt like there was no plan, no desire to understand what was causing my issue, and no assessment of progress. I came hoping to solve my problem and it felt like I was just being put through the motions. After a few weeks of appointments I feel more confused and frustrated than when I started. I've done physical therapy at other practices, and had a very different experience. I'm glad I have had those other experiences because otherwise I would probably think the PT business is unhelpful and expensive based on how this went for me.
