Let's add finding one that understands your dog breed and unique personalities and loves them as much as we do. From day one, we have been so thankful for Deanna. She always does an amazing job and my doggies come home happy and looking adorable. She shares tips to help us care for our Golden doodle to ensure she does not matt in between appointments. Plus she understands when she comes in a mess from playing in the pool with the boys. She is so good and patient to our grumpy older dog. It is a great feeling to know they are safe and well cared for. When I post photos after their spa day my friends all say they want to be our dogs. We are thankful for Deanna and how well she takes care of our fur babies!! I just love them and could go on and on!

My dog is affraid of everything, and when I leave her she normally is super nervous and thats everywhere we go not just the groomers but when I pick her up she looks relax and happy plus they always put her a cute bow according to the season. Place is clean and staff is organized. They have options for grooming your dog like a full cut or a FFF which is a face feet and fanny which is great. The staff is kind and friendly, prices are reasonable, and at this time I cant complain about anything.

Summer and the…read moregentleman who works there (husband, maybe?) are super-nice and have always treated my dogs with love and care as if they were their own. Of all the pet salons I have ever taken any of my dogs to, both past and present, Your Best Friend is by far the best. And for the reasons stated above it saddens me to say that I will not be taking my dogs back to this salon. And here is why: When I last took my dogs into the salon this past December, the gentleman who works there came out to take my dogs into the grooming area sporting a Trump 2024 hat. Resisting the urge to vomit, I almost grabbed my dogs and walked out the door. And I probably should have. But I didn't. I'm disappointed more than anything else because I had finally found someone who knew how to properly groom a Pomeranian. But now the search begins once again for a grooming salon to take my dogs to. If morality, and decency, and kindness, and the truth do not matter to you, then you could not take your pets to a better grooming salon than Your Best Friend. I'm not saying at all that the owner and staff at Your Best Friend are amoral, or indecent, or unkind, or untruthful. They are quite the opposite actually. But when you support someone who is all of those things, and more, it can be very revealing. A lot of people and businesses, especially small businesses, are going to be hurt by the incoming administration and their policies, or lack thereof. I really hope Your Best Friend is not one of them, because they have been so kind to me and my dogs, but they will have to forge ahead without my patronage.

She said she has been very happy with their service over the years. We were very happy today with the friendliness of the staff as well as the veterinarian. She was kind and knowledgable, and we felt that she enjoys what she does, loves and understands animals, and was happy we chose their clinic. We will bring our cat to their groomer on Monday, and she said she will check in on him while he is there. Based on our experience today, we highly recommend Pet Wow for your veterinary needs in this area.

I have used Petwow in this area for the last 5-6 years, mainly at the highland heights location. I…read morerecently switched to the this Florence location for convenience sake and after enjoying my visits there with our new dog. I took my older dog in this week for a dental cleaning, which he has had before at the other location so I knew generally what to expect. I dropped him off around 7:30am and called during my lunch to check on him which is when I was told he had a couple teeth pulled (the first time this has ever happened). He is a 7 year old Chihuahua, so that wasn't completely surprising, however I was told this by a receptionist or tech who had no further information. She didn't know why or which teeth. I was never called by the vet or tech that presided over the cleaning that day to explain which teeth and why. At the highland heights location, the vet personally calls you regardless to even tell you that their teeth were in great shape, let alone if one had to be pulled. They called me later to tell me he was finished, and still didn't know which teeth were pulled but told me they would give me the paper the vet/tech filled out during the procedure that would show the teeth. So this was disappointing in terms of communication but I was willing to let it go since overall it seems they did an acceptable job. A couple days pass and my chihuahua is finally back to his normal self enough to where I notice now that he has a decent sized bald patch at the back base of his tail. This was very shocking because I did not know what caused this, I initially even thought it was my new puppy that attacked my older dog. Thankfully I have a close friend with extensive vet tech experience and they explained that the vet did this and for what reasons. This had never been done to my chihuahua at his other handful of dental cleanings, so I was completely clueless and terrified before I found out what caused this. I really wish this experience had been better because I was already sold on permanently switching locations but I don't feel very confident after this experience overall. I feel like animals should be given autonomy through their owners, not just sent back home while giving no information to the owner as to what happened or why. I thought I should maybe call them to communicate this directly rather than leave a review but since I was not given the same courtesy, here we are. - Lori Singleton

It was easy enough to make an appointment on their website -- although the shop called me the day before my initial appointment to say the groomer we'd been scheduled with was suddenly going on maternity leave and that they needed to reschedule us. Totally understand that you can't control that -- so we pushed our pup's appointment back a bit. This morning when I dropped our doggo off, the place was already packed. I took this as a good sign - they're in high demand! I appreciated that the actual groomer who was going to be working with my dog came out to talk with me about what I wanted done. Since our dog is double-coated, I don't like having him shaved, and I've found that it's important to specially request a hand-trim. Just about two hours later, the shop called to say he was all done! I'm pretty impressed they finished his grooming so quickly -- considering how busy they were. My fiancé picked our pup up ... but said he must have caught the front desk at a bad time, because they were taking bites of their lunch in between checking him out. Our handsome pup was returned to us exactly as requested -- with his "lion's mane" and "butt feathers" hand-trimmed, his nails cut and his fur freshly bathed. I would definitely consider dropping our dog off at Klassy K-9 again the next time he needs groomed!
