I emailed some generic email address and got an immediate response back from the awesome owner, Katy. I'm so, so glad I took the leap and decided to start with this group. After a few months of doing Body Back (just adults in early morning or at night, no kids at this class YAY), I decided to try out Stroller Strides (usually mid morning, always with kids in strollers) and then I started going to some of their social events. Motherhood can be so isolating and lonely, especially for a Stay-At-Home-Mom like me, and finding this group has been the best thing I've done as a new mom. The support you get in class and out of class is authentic and heartfelt, mostly due to the wonderful Katy Taylor and her team of amazing instructors. Because it's winter, all the Stroller Strides classes are at Arena Sports in Issaquah, and the Body Back classes are at the studio at Front Street (this may change soon though) or at the IRG Physical Therapy office in Sammamish. Their schedule is great for both SAHM and working moms, and they have Body Back "Sessions" that I also highly recommend. I've done one so far and it's a wonderful, targeted 8-12 week programs that really helped me get develop better habits that have really stuck with me 7 months later. I'm stronger than I've ever been and I have Fit4Mom to thank for it!

There are classes for pregnant moms available. There is also a set of classes called Body Back which are HIIT style classes that are for adults only. These classes are held at convenient times for both stay at home and working moms with early morning and evening classes available. All women are welcome at these classes. I know I tend to slack off with treadmills by myself. The best thing about Fitbox is by enjoying new workouts & learning new techniques/ developing your fitness - you just naturally feel better & want more! Don't hold off because you think you don't have any boxing experience cuz you don't need it. Just show up & the rest takes care of itself. 1. Trainer - Ricardo is a great listener & leader who truly wants to support your needs. 2. Workout stations - I love trying each workout guided by Ricardo. Every day is something a bit different that makes it fun & interesting. It is not just typical 10 dumbbells rep etc but just adding that extra spice & challenge. 3. Studio - I like the studio set up. You won't get distracted cuz you're purely just working out on yourself. Everyone has a great positive attitude & it helps you. It's not like a typical franchise gym where it looks big/ fancy but I can get distracted then slack off. You'll be surprised by how much you will enjoy Fitbox.

Since November, I have informed the owner Dan about my injury and expressed my desire to temporarily withdraw from weekly training until I fully recover. Since then, I have been focused on my medical treatment, which has included an MRI, X-ray, and surgery. My doctor has advised that my recovery time will likely be 4 to 6 months, during which I am not permitted to work out. I have kept the owner, Dan, informed about my medical condition and my doctor's recommendations. I also requested again a temporary suspension of my membership. However, I noticed that Dan has ignored my written request and charged my credit card approximately $300 per month for November, December, January, and February. In early February, I emailed Dan again to request a full refund for these four months during which I could not participate. He responded that I am still required to pay for these months, regardless of my situation. I find this incredibly unfair and am very disappointed.

She offers a lot of modifications, so her classes are great for all levels (unless specified otherwise). Her Friday night candlelight class has been a long-standing favorite of mine. I've also been enjoying her TRX-Yoga Fusion class. She teaches an inversion workshop once a month which I LOVE. I've seen slow but steady progress in my inversions since I started taking her workshop, and her feedback and guidance has been instrumental. Well, hello, Lindsey, no need to reintroduce yourself, because I remember you personally from…read moretalking to you on the phone plus meeting you... I called initially to inquire about yoga and after getting a condescending and belittling response from you on the phone, I confronted your unjustifiably rude behavior. You then had the audacity to call me back to harass me by leaving an abusive and horrific voicemail when I did not pick up my phone. Not only you had violated my boundaries by calling me back without me asking, but you also were also full of excuses and a showed complete lack of humility which was unsettling. After I shared my experience and the voicemail you left on my phone, other students and teachers confirmed with me that you have treated them very badly before, and this type of toxic behavior from you is nothing new at all. You have acknowledged that while my other reviews came from first-hand experiences, you have come up with an accusation by stating that the review I have written of your business was fake news. How does it make sense for me to write real reviews for other places while writing a fake review for yours only? Additionally, most majority of my Yelp reviews are 5 stars and only a few are 1-star reviews. What does this say about you? When I read Ann Marie's review, I knew that nothing has changed. Same MO. Please be show humility and be accountable for your behavior for once in your life, instead of projecting your own sense of inadequacy and putting a nasty attitude toward others (out of pure projection) who had never done anything to hurt or sabotage you. You work from a twisted mindset that you must out win anyone or anything to prove your self-worth while kicking others cruelly when they are already down. Your MO is to condescend or belittle people to destroy their self-esteem and self-worth (I notice a pattern that you like to target women) to make yourself feel superior. Such a mentality of yours is clearly reflected in how you continuously treat others. And remember, the yoga community is small and people talk, and stories circulate. When I shared your voicemail you left on my phone with other teachers no one was surprised by what they heard. How you have treated your students and teachers will always follow you like a shadow, no matter how much you try to exonerate yourself, by continually smearing those who left negative reviews for your business. From your defensive responses full of excuses and self-denials, it's so clear that there is no reflections or self-inquiry about how you have hurt others nor trying to understand where others are coming from. And trust me, you GOT QUITE THE REPUTATION in the yoga community! And looks like you are still doing the same thing and no lessons learned, Ann Marie was speaking the truth, and you didn't want to hear it. Never mind reflecting back on your condescending and belittling comments and how might that have affected someone. I mean mocking & belittling someone for having a Costco surfboard? Oh because your surfboard is supposed to be more superior? Degrading and insulting someone in front of everyone? Seriously?!?!? I am also NOT surprised at all of your response to my post or to Anna Marie's. The truth will always prevail in the end. Before acting like a victim and cry me a river about your business, maybe think about how Karma works, and not forget a place like Yelp where the wronged customers can speak out and air their grievances. If you care so much about your business, maybe start treating people with more appreciation, respect, and dignity. I wish you all the best of luck on your healing journey because you need it.
