If I could leave less than 1 star, I would. After 166 days of poor communication and no movement, Brent just completely abandoned the job. At no point did he ever do what he said he would and he also never followed up to tell me what the next steps were or what he found.... First, he told me how I couldn't even occupy the building and how this was going to be a huge job and scared the hell out of me. No worries- Brent is on the job! He was going to hold my hand throughout the whole thing! He brought out one of his foreman the next week- for a second opinion and that guy was great! He assured me that this guy was the best and they would take care of me. Perfect! He was going to email me the pictures and a proposal, for my insurance to have a paper trail. I reminded him twice. Never happened. Then, He was going to pull permits to do more research...but he never followed up about what they said....I had to remind him twice. No response. At 130 days, I called his office to ask what was going on, since nothing had happened yet and he wasn't returning my calls. They said "oh I'm so sorry, I'll make sure Brent calls you back". He didn't. A week later, He texted to tell me that he hadn't gotten the permits yet, but he would. Surprise, he didn't. I asked again two weeks later and he said he got the permits and everything was fine. No calls to action about fixing the problem. When I asked what the next steps were, he was vague. I asked again what the clear next steps were and reminded him that we've wasted more than half the year with no movement. No response. I asked again and he said that the foundation would need to be lifted and that his friend who owns the slab jack company would reach out, or he would send me his number, he just had to look it up. Never happened. I asked again, and he said the same thing- he'll get it taken care of! I finally found the company he was talking about and called them- they said they've never even heard of him- and he never called them. Guess what? The slab jack company was great and will have someone out to do the work next week. Refreshing! Brent acts like a big dawg, in his stupid Rayban Meta glasses, fancy clothes, manicured nails with his frat boy haircut. You know what I respect? Someone who does what they say. This guy is all talk. If he doesn't see huge money on your project, he leaves you in a lurch. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. Do yourself a favor and find someone who cares about their customers... trust the reviews, there's a reason he has crappy reviews- and they're all service related. read more

Extremely disappointed. I recently hired Brent Boyle, Sam The Concrete Man Spokane to replace the approach of my driveway and I am incredibly Disappointed with the results. The work was shoddy, the materials were subpar, and the company's customer service was atrocious. The driveway approach is uneven with many very large cracks, scaling, and improper joint tooling and finish. The edges were jagged and unfinished. Despite multiple attempts to address these issues, the company was unresponsive to rectify the problems. Sam The Concrete Man Spokane did NOT have the City of Spokane inspect the job as required. After requesting such, the inspection FAILED with no response or communication from the contractor. Certified mail sent with request of refund and still no response. The Contract was not fulfilled as written, "promises" to fix it in the spring with warmer weather were communicated then spring came and no calls or text of mine received a response. Additionally, he caused major damage in excess of $715.00 to my sprinkle system, to which I've had to repair out of pocket. Read the Contract! Avoid Sam The Concrete Man Spokane at all costs! A Word of Caution Check the Better Business Bureau (bbb.org) for company accreditation, complaints filed, and grading. Brent Boyle, Sam the Concrete Man Spokane is not accredited and has a D+ grade with complaints that are the same as mine. Pattern identified. Verify licensing and insurance. Get multiple quotes. The problems I have had are my own fault for not doing due diligence. I hope this helps one person avoid hiring a subpar company and the pitfalls of unsatisfactory home improvement projects. read more
