I am utterly disappointed with the driveway repair company's unprofessionalism and complete disregard for my property. I hired them with the hope of getting my driveway fixed, but what I ended up with was a nightmare. Without any prior warning or consent, they thought it was acceptable to place a massive dumpster on my once well-maintained lawn. It's as if they assumed my lawn was their personal dumping ground. To make matters worse, they apparently thought it was a brilliant idea to drive a tractor over my lawn, causing irreparable damage. The lush green grass I used to take pride in is now a chaotic mess of tire tracks, flattened patches, and upturned soil. It's an eyesore that will likely take months, if not longer, to restore to its former state. What astounds me is the complete lack of communication and consideration from this company. A simple courtesy call to inform me about their plans could have prevented this whole disaster. But no, they chose to surprise me with an unwelcome dumpster and heavy machinery, leaving me to deal with the aftermath. It's disheartening to see a company so indifferent to the impact of their actions on their customers' lives and properties. I strongly advise anyone considering hiring this company for any sort of work to think twice. They may promise results, but what you're likely to get is a headache, frustration, and a damaged property. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for professionals who actually care about their customers and their workmanship. I am very happy with Sam the Concrete Man in Gainesville. I added a concrete pad in the backyard for my boys to play basketball. After the initial contact, I think it was less than one hour before I received a call. The next day, the owner came out to help me visualize the project. He measured, provided expert feedback and suggestions, and we had a quote that same day! The crew was just as wonderful... start to finish, the project took only TWO DAYS! The pad looks great! My family will use Sam the Concrete Man again for our next concrete project! Note: I noticed two negative reviews left by prior customers and feel compelled to speak out against the claims made by these persons. The owner is extremely kind and has excellent communication skills. If there was a problem with the project, I am 100% confident that Jamie would immediately fix the issue. The owner is fully accessible by phone and takes pride in his work. Regarding the prior customer's complaint about their grass... a portion of my front yard grass looks like this customer's picture. For the record, there are not any grooves or torn grass. Rather, the grass is lying down from the use of heavy equipment. This is to be expected when undergoing a construction project. Jamie and crew did a lovely job on our repaired driveway apron (concrete replacing broken asphalt) and new front walkway. My senior parent now has a safe path to the car which never existed before. We love walking on it and it has upgraded our curb appeal with its slick finished look. Jamie stuck with us through months of planning and communications for city permit requirements with our unusual neighborhood and right of way issues. His crew made a great suggestion to raise up the height of our front door patio slab to address rain flooding problems we had and more easily accommodate future wheelchair access through the front door door. Then the crew kindly acted on a last minute request to change the height near the door. The whole thing was not the usual and simple plan but the results are great. We have been needing anew walk way for several years. Finally got around to getting someone to give a quote and idea on what to do. This company came gave us and idea and installed quickly. Neat and clean job. You could not ask for better workmanship. I am so happy we finally have a walkway. Now we look like home again.
