Mike (the owner) arrived on time and was extremely professional and willing to educate us as well as put our minds at ease about our concerns. He came for one issue and showed us another crack he saw upon walking to our door. Thankfully, neither were of the complexity that they needed to be repaired but his honesty only confirmed I made the right choice in calling them. When there are so many people out there looking to take advantage and/or make a quick buck, it is refreshing and renews my hope in humanity to meet people like Mike that represent superb companies like Ram Jack. Should anything happen in the future, they will be my first and only choice. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I don't think I have ever taken the time to go online to give anyone a positive review. However, I…read morewant everyone to know about Ram Jack because when it comes to the foundation of your house, you want trustworthy, and you want the best. We have lived in our house (has a crawl space) for over 20 years, and between old leaking pipes and additions settling at different rates, I have dealt with several foundation companies over the years. Two years ago I had an obvious area of the house that needed additional support, and one questionable area. I contacted a reputable company I had used in the past to install a vapor barrier and they told me both areas NEEDED work that would cost over 15K. I decided to get a second opinion and called Ram Jack. They told me I only needed work in that one area which would cost 3K. I went with Ram Jack (who solved that issue) and crossed my fingers not knowing if they were correct about the other area. Now, as we are getting ready to remodel the questionable area, I wanted to make sure the different rates of settling weren't going to be an issue. I contacted a structural engineer and they confirmed (based on previous measurements) that Ram Jack had done what needed to be done two years ago, but if I had concerns I should ask Ram Jack for updated measurements. Today Ram Jack came back out and after several hours of assessing the house, Mike told me no work was needed and the measurements had not changed. He assured me the house was structurally sound. I told him he could have easily told me I needed to spend thousands of dollars to fix an issue and I would have believed him. He then told me that telling people they need work done when they don't is not the way their company operates. He went on to say the owners are really great people who put honesty first. Thank you Ram Jack! I am grateful to find a business that has such a high level of integrity AND does quality work.

The short of it is that building with House Craft Homes was the worst experience of my life. It…read moretook 21 months for them to finish our home. The whole company (or should I say family) is full of liars and are unprofessional. Not only did it take an outrageous amount of time for the house to be completed but there is so much poor craftsmanship or unfinished work that we had to fix/finish ourselves after moving in. Avoid at all costs. For those who are interested in a more in depth review, see below. If you want to look at your new construction home and think "Wow, I could have watched a youtube video and done it better myself" or "I guess I'll just have to fix that after we move in" then House Craft is the builder for you! You will also get to watch your home be built at a snail's pace while other builds in the area get started after and finish far before yours. Building a house with House Craft Homes has been the worst experience of my life. House Craft Homes is an utter disgrace to builders everywhere. To start, Larry is a snake oil salesman. He is a cunning fast talker who lures unsuspecting victims onto House Crafts sinking ship. He will tell you anything you want to hear, pretend to "throw in" extras that were already included and make the deal sound extra enticing to get your deposit and the contract signed. Next, there is absolutely no scheduling or communication within this company. They don't communicate with each other, they don't communicate with their subs, they don't coordinate subs with each other and they don't communicate with you (the purchaser). On the rare occasion you do get a response from Stephanie (the owner of House Craft) she is rude and spiteful. Stephanie will refuse to meet with you in person to answer questions you have and then rudely email you things like "If you know so much why didn't you get a contractors license and why you didn't build your own home". The 6-9 months timeframe for completion outlined in the contract is a LIE that they have no plan on sticking to. As we approached the 6 month mark on our build the only thing completed was a concrete slab on the ground. When I asked Danny (the General Contractor) for a schedule that they follow to ensure things are being completed in a timely manner he informed me that they don't have one and if I wanted to help out he "would really appreciate it"... It took 21 months to complete our home (I actually had to start calling subs and scheduling them myself to get the job done). It took so long that our builders' loan EXPIRED and we had to refinance months before the house was complete (in case you were wondering, yes there are additional closing costs associated with refinancing and our interest rate increased significantly making our monthly mortgage payment about $700 MORE EVERY MONTH). They also charge you for things on top of the agreed upon amount outlined in the contract without your consent or prior knowledge. On top of that, when you can get one of House Craft's subs to the house to work; their craftsmanship is terrible.I can't even tell you the number of contractors and subs who quit halfway through each step of our build because they couldn't work with House Craft a second longer. There are many things that we just did or fixed ourselves because House Craft wouldn't fix it or couldn't be bothered to make an attempt to come out in a timely manner. If you would like more detailed examples of the hellacious experience we went through with these builders feel free to reach out to me. I am astonished that this company is still in business. My sincere hope in writing this review is that I am able to save someone from having to go through this same awful life experience.
