The cut was uneven. They pretty much just gave up on his head and nicked the top of his head leaving it raw, so raw and red that it looked like it had bled. On top of all that it smelled like they had sprayed him with a heavy perfume. I ended up giving him another bath the smell was so strong. I chose to call this morning once I'd had a chance to cool off. I asked the person on the phone if he'd been the person there when we dropped off my dog and asked what happened? He asked what happened? I mentioned the terrible hair cut, the fact that my dog had been cut and that he reeked of perfume. He tried to tell me the haircut was agreed upon which I did not agree to a hack job! I've done a better job of cutting his hair with NO experience and managed not to hurt him. I started getting upset and misspoke stating that my dog had bled to which he quickly said he wasn't bleeding. I corrected myself and he still flat out denied that they had left his skin raw. By the time I got off the phone it turned very ugly. I didn't want to leave a bad review. Had they acknowledged and apologized things would have been different but they chose to get defensive instead. What a shame!

This policy feels frustrating and inconsiderate to customers who plan their time around these appointments. If higher pricing is necessary, it would be more transparent to adjust base rates rather than introduce add-ons that delay standard appointments. YELP came to the rescue when I was searching for a dog walker for the first time in my life. I was going to be away from my house for over 10 hours during a recent weekend and needed to have someone walk my Ethel in the evening. Enter Purrs & Grrrs. Because they are local, you don't have to worry about anyone getting stuck in traffic. They offer a free meet/greet and ask all the right questions. Even the registration form asked some very specific and needed questions. I was very impressed by the registration process and how easy everything was. Even paying them was easy as a client can pay by using the CASH app. Otherwise, checks/cash are accepted as well. I advised them of the different walking areas that I usually take Ethel and even areas to avoid (streets that sometimes has loose dogs from the neighbors). I also asked that if they crossed a particular busy street, that they carry Ethel as I don't trust the cars and their drivers. They totally understood all my concerns and took notes as well. After they walked Ethel, I would get a text with pictures and letting me know how everything went. Because of that, my mind was set at ease as Ethel was taken care of and enjoyed the walk (see the pictures) Don't look any further, you have found your dog walking service!!
