I had a tongue fibroma excised by Dr. Harouni on May 13, 2026. The procedure itself was quick, but the overall experience was deeply disappointing. I was sent home with zero aftercare instructions. When I asked Dr. Harouni about my diet, he told me to "use my discretion" -- which is not an appropriate answer after oral surgery. I felt rushed and dismissed. When I called the office the next day to request guidance, the front desk was similarly unhelpful. I had been doing my own research on aftercare (because I had no choice), and when I mentioned this, I was told that research isn't always reliable. That response is unacceptable -- if the doctor had given me proper instructions, I wouldn't have needed to research anything. The written instructions they eventually emailed me were vague and generic, listing foods like pasta, eggs, and cheese as appropriate starting points -- foods that require tongue manipulation and are typically served hot, neither of which is appropriate in the early days after a tongue excision with sutures. Patients deserve to feel supported after surgery. I did not. I hope future patients are treated with more care and dignity than I was. read more

Dr. Harouni was very patient and gentle, though real with me. I was having a really huge molar extracted because I had fractured the root. Then I needed a bone graft and then I will need an implant. I am in the middle of that now waiting for the bone graft to make the bone stronger. He gave me all the options, but ultimately was technical enough, kind enough and patient enough that I choose to just go a head same day with local only and no sedation. I was dreading having this procedure done and was very anxious but Dr. Harouni and his staff handled my care with compassion, kindness, precision, comfort, and quickness. During the procedure, I was giving nitrous oxide gas, wrapped in a soft blanket, and comforted by his assistants with one even holding my hand. They get an A++ for their excellent bedside manners. In addition to the wonderful care, Dr. Harouni is up to date with advanced dental treatments. Part of my treatment included PRP therapy and long acting lidocaine anesthetic. Let me tell you these additional therapies made a significant difference after the extraction. I had no pain, no swelling, no bleeding after the procedure! Pretty incredible. The PRP (platelet rich plasma) PRP) was taken from my own blood and injected into the area of the extracted tooth to promote faster healing by stimulating and increasing the growth of reparative cells that my own body produces. I was so scared to get my wisdom teeth out (all 4 after they had fully come in but gathered cavities). Sometimes the really old surgeons make me feel a bit uneasy, and I was looking for a younger surgeon with a well-reviewed practice. I found this one & I'm so glad I did. I did full anesthesia and had never had an IV before and was really scared. The nurse held my hand. Prior to this, at a different practice, I had a tooth extraction that took 7.5 hours with general anesthesia only. I wish I had come here. I went there for a secondary consultation after reading all these positive reviews but that was not a good choice at all... Let me start with the positive. Their personnel is very friendly. However, their business practices are questionable. I was told the consultation is free. Little did I know that they would charge my insurance behind my back for it! Now I lost $200 in benefits and they didn't even have to do xrays or a CT scan because I brought that along! Aside from that his suggestions were extremely pricey and they didn't match anything other dentists recommended. I got the strong feeling that they oversell to make up for lost income during the "stay at home " order. I'm very disappointed and I would not recommend them at all. I am so thrilled and relieved after having my 2 bottom wisdom teeth taken out (at 35yrs old) by Dr. Harouni and his team. I had the most positive experience. Dr. Harouni had 2 methods for recovery which I liked. 1) he uses a long acting 72 hour anesthetic so that there is less pain/discomfort for the first 3 days. I honestly had ZERO pain, even on Day 3, which they said might be the day I felt the most. I really didn't feel pain at all!!! I was so grateful. 2) during the surgery, his method is to take blood from your own arm and separate the white blood/red blood cells, putting the white blood cells into where the teeth were extracted, then they sew it up. This is to help prevent getting dry sockets, which was especially good for me since women are more prone to getting dry sockets, AND since I wasn't your average teenager having this surgery. It worked. Nondry sockets. No swelling! I iced on and off for the 8 hours post surgery (just follow their instructions... they will give you a neat package with all helpful info). And I have healed so nicely. Other reviewers had mentioned his good bedside manner, and I have to agree enthusiastically. The whole team was so kind and made me comfortable. I will also addd that the surgery felt like it was so fast, I wasn't even aware it was happening because of the aenesthic they administer every 15 min. I closed my eyes and woke up with a friendly tap on my shoulder saying it was all done. I highly recommend Dr. Harouni, especially if you are nervous. They will make you feel so safe and your nerves will subside instantly. 5/5 stars. read more
