I travel a lot. Not for work, mind you, but a LOT nonetheless. And, thus, my Priority Pass has gotten quite a workout in the past few years. While I'm not exactly a lounge sommelier--and, yes, they exist--I have become a bit of an aficionado.
This lounge beats many US options. There's decent wine and beer (Heineken, anyone?) and food options that are an order of magnitude better than the glorified-cheese-and-crackers of many Priority Pass lounges. It was relatively crowded and noisy on the Friday night we were here. A Centurion lounge this is not, and there were plenty of toddlers running amuck. But, hey, it was practically free--and even unruly toddlers are kind of entertaining when you're a few free beers into your layover.
While I wouldn't intentionally arrive early to hang out here, If you've got time to kill at SCL--in our case, four hours until your redeye--this is a decent place to pitch camp. read more
