Mango Sticky Rice

I enjoyed my meal. The food arrived hot from door dash. The only thing have to say is the mango sticky rice is smaller than I thought.

Until recently, I hadn't had Salween Thai in a hot minute! I honestly forgot how good it was! I can't speak to the service because we decided to have it delivered, but my meal was delicious. Everything was still warm upon arrival, which is always dicey when getting takeout. I had the chicken pad Thai, which had the perfect level of spice and was even great the next day for leftovers. I also had an order of the crunchy spring rolls. Amazing as well.

This hard piece of chicken that was like a fossil, was what was in my creamy soup. Absolutely disappointing. About broke my teeth.

I was super excited to eat here. The smell while waiting captured my interest even more. Overall very disappointing meal. The pork belly salad was nothing like it was pictured to be and the soup was a total let down. I'm guessing for a first timer I should have tried something different. Now I know.

I was pleasantly surprised! Salween is very tasty and I could tell it was different than others. Everything tasted very fresh and healthy. It wasn't greasy takeout- it was light and hearty! The portion sizes were just right. The chicken and steak were not chewy and the veggies were perfectly sautéd. The sauce was light and delicious. The rice was great and it was shaped in a heart! I will order here again

Sweet Rice Mango. SO DELICIOUS!

Wanted to try a new Thai place and one of my colleagues raved about Salween Thai. So I ordered their crab rangoon, pad thai and their mango sticky rice dessert. The crab rangoon were delicious! It came with this neon yellow sauce that's like a less sweet version of sweet and sour sauce. Very yummy! But the pad thai was awful. This is such a staple in Thai restaurants and I was so disappointed. First off, the smell was putrid and off putting. And it all goes downhill from there. The taste was much like the smell - rancid and stomach churning. I even attempted to rinse it off and I still couldn't get past the smell or taste. I can't even describe what it tasted like. Old takeout that's been in the fridge for a month? Honestly the worst pad thai that I've ever eaten. But the sweet rice mango TOTALLY made up for it! WOW! I would go back just for that! Big piece of mango beautifully laid over a bed of sticky rice with coconut milk. I could make a meal out of just that. It's heavenly. Like a cloud of deliciousness. I would try Salween Thai again but I wouldn't order the pad thai. Maybe I tried this dish on an off night. I'm not sure. But I'll be dreaming of that sweet rice mango for weeks to come.

First time trying Thai food and had a great experience. Our waiter was super attentive. We tried several appetizers and didn't have a bad item. We tried: Fried Samosa Triangle Puffs, spring rolls, chicken satay and a few others I can't remember. My friend got their Pad Thai and said it's one of his favorites in Omaha. I got Fried Wonton Noodles and loved the flavor and different textures. I really like how you can pick the spice level from 1-10. I went with 3 because I wasn't sure what to expect and would have even gone a little more spicy.

This place is everywhere! Literally, three+ locations in Omaha and on so many social sites, I feel like I've eaten here a dozen times. But, tonight was my first real experience...zany first rice heart ever! It was great, we tried so many things, they were all so good! -red curry: so refreshing, so flavorful, perfecto -pad Thai: good, not great, have definitely had better, not sweet at all small amount of chicken, too many sprouts -broccoli beef: fantastic! We should have ordered two, it was the fan favorite -sampler: not a fan of shrimp or tofu so wasn't a big hit with me but my husband ate it up! -wontons: pretty good! I've had bigger and more cream cheese in other spots but good. Unique sauce to go with it All in all it was pretty good! Not my favorite spot but I do see why it is so popular!! Definitely recommend.

GF pad Thai extra egg with chicken

Super impressed by not only the food but the attention paid by the lady who took my order. I confirmed before driving here that they could make most dishes gluten free - which they can. I was greeted by a nice lady who went over the menu with me and even verified the green papaya salad could be made gluten free. I ended up getting chicken pad Thai extra egg, combo fried drunken noodle (no shrimp) with bean sprouts, and Thai style papaya salad. The Pad Thai was fantastic although next time I'll order it a bit spicier. The noodles were still springy but cooked and it wasn't floating in greased and not overly salty or sugary. Well balanced. My only complaint was they should give you more lime wedges but I had some at home. The drunken noodles I think we all agreed were the best. Good depth of flavor and spice. Again next time I'll be adventurous and get it spicer. Wish they had more broccoli though. The green papaya salad was yummy and I've never had that before so I have no comparison but it was VERY strong with raw garlic. I don't know if it's supposed to be like that but I did enjoy it and I'll be fending off vampires for probably a week! The food came out fast and fresh. They were all wearing masks and being socially distanced. Will be back for sure.

Best Thai in Omaha! Love eating at Salween. Whether you like your spice at 1 or 10 their dishes are great! Truly my go to Thai restaurant.

Pad Tai was good! The fried wontons were even better, it wasn't soy sauce, but had some honey and herbs in it and made them really good!!

Also can be nosy so not ideal if your looking for intimate vibes. It was also so busy with takeout orders as well - which I cant blame anyone for! The food tops it all! This is hands down the best thai in omaha. I have a friend that has tried many thai places here and recommended this place to me. We always go with the pad thai but definitely want to branch out next time we go. It is a little on the pricier side but thats what you get for high quality food. You also get to choose your spice level. We will continue to come back!!

With a steady stream of people picking up to-go orders, we had a bit of a wait to be seated, but all things considered, he handled it well. I ordered the Pad Thai, which was just okay. The noodles were overly soft, the portion of meat was skimpy, and it leaned too sweet for my taste. That said, everyone else at the table seemed happy with their meals. Our biggest complaint was where we were seated--right by the front desk, where the phone rang constantly and no one ever picked up. It rang non-stop throughout the meal, which made the atmosphere feel stressful rather than relaxing. My advice: if you're not going to answer the phone, unplug it or forward it to voicemail.

I do love pad thai itself, but I unfortunately did NOT love "I Love Pad Thai" the restaurant…read more We ordered it for delivery when we were working one day and couldn't make it out for lunch/didn't have time to make lunch ourselves. I know everywhere is better if you eat it inside, but if they offer delivery, I think that it should be about on par with what you get in the restaurant (because they certainly charge the same or more than dining in). This either was just not great from the get go, or it lost a LOT of quality in the delivery time. I don't think that's the case, because a delivery time doesn't make most of the food almost FLAVORLESS. Cold, maybe - but flavor doesn't vanish from it being delivered? So if you couldn't tell, we were not fans of almost anything we received. My Pad See Yew was literally flavorless. It tasted like WATER was used for the "sauce" on it. The chicken in it was also very stringy and dry. My husband got the Pad Thai, which did have a little bit more flavor, with the peanut sauce, but not a whole lot more. The only saving grace was the fried dumpling appetizer we ordered. Those were tasty and the dipping sauce they came with was good (it said it was just soy sauce but it wasn't super salty like soy sauce, more sweet). At almost $50 for two entrees that were basically untouched because they were so dry and flavorless, I would say order elsewhere or dine inside so you can gauge what you are getting in person.

For the price, my portion was small and the chicken had a rubbery flavor. And it was very greasy!…read moreToo bad it's in a great location.
