The woman who took my order was really nice, but I don't think she should have been taking orders. Even with me being bilingual and her daughter helping translate, she had a hard time understanding what I wanted, even though I was reading it directly from their menu. The wait time was short. Everything was fresh. The pupusa dough, the veggies, the toppings-- I loved everything except the chicken, which tasted like it had been boiled or canned at some point. But that's my fault for ordering chicken from a Latino food cart, knowing they sometimes take these chicken shortcuts. The salsa and queso fresco were both bomb. 5 stars on both of those. The portion size was a decent value for the price. It was too much food for me to eat in just one sitting. If I came back again, I would order literally any meat other than chicken. I might even ask how it's cooked first, just to be sure. Overall I thought it was pretty good, and I would definitely come back again. (I just wouldn't get the chicken.)

Please, don't get me wrong, the Mexican horchata is delicious but the milk, it kills me, especially the condensed milk. What else? Caldo de res, beef soup. Holly smokes! Do you want beef soup that you eat it with a spoon? No need to cut your beef with a knife, because the meat was so tender and deliciously blended. Her work team and her efforts are incredible; this is my secret spot when I want to eat like a human, no industrial food here!

I love eating here, especially knowing that everything is 100% gluten free. They also have options for other dietary restrictions and are very helpful in identifying allergens. The food is always amazing. Pupusas are cheesey goodness, fried chicken is the best I've ever had, and they rotate through different dish specials that never disappoint! The service is friendly and makes you feel like part of the family. The ambience is cozy and welcoming, plus you get to drink gluten free beer from Ground Breaker while enjoying your meal! This small business does everything right, from delicious meals to supporting and giving back to their community. Definitely will be back for more! read more

I ordered the 4 Empanada Sampler... 2 of the Chicken, one of the shredded beef, and one potato/beef. They were out of Aji sauce, which was a bit of disappointment, as I was looking forward to either Amarillo or Verde sauce for my dipping. Honestly, I didn't know what to expect. She gave me a buzzer, and took a seat. About twenty minutes later (I arrived in the middle of a line), the beeper went off, and I received four, fat pockets of golden masa goodness. They weren't labeled, so I grabbed the shredded beef... quite by accident. Had I known how good it would be, I wouldn't have ordered anything else. The beef was seasoned well, unlike a lot of empanadas, where they just take some chuck roast, and shred it up... It was also moist. Absolutely delicious. The meat/potato Columbianita had a lot more potato than meat, but they looked more like yellow finger potato. Not to go too deep on potatoes, but the right amount of hydration/waxy starch... excellent. I ended using the Garlic Aoli for dipping these, and it was nice mix. The chicken, I am saving for later... but if it's anything like the beef, I'll be back regularly. You can order ahead from the website, which I will do in future if in a time crunch. This is a wonderful food cart, and they have the best masa empanadas I've tasted. If I say "empanadas period", then my buddy Luis' wife will be on a cross country flight for a cook off. Arepas are not my thing, but I guarantee they'll be excellent, if the empanadas are any indication. A nice slice of Latin American in PDX.
