You walk up to the counter to order, and they have a very diverse menu. I ordered the Carne Asada plate, which comes with grilled steak, beans, rice, lettuce, guacamole, salsa, and tortillas. It was easily enough for two people and very flavorful; the steak was a little chewy but still delicious. As a spice aficionado, I asked for a side of hot sauce, and it was perfect. The highlight, however, was the Platanos Fritos--sweet fried plantains served with refried beans and sour cream. They really hit the spot! The horchata was also perfect. I will definitely be back.

Coming from NV, where we have incredible Hispanic food, it's been difficult to find any mediocre spots in Oregon, but this place has been decent. The quesadillas were crispy, cheesy, and very filling, as they were pretty big. The tacos were decent, but they were the only good ones we've had here. Tender, not dry, and good.

This is hands down the best El Salvadorian food in the state! Family run and authentic in every way. Service was friendly and food came out quick. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a laid back vibe with some outdoor seating for when the weather gets nicer.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There aren't a lot of places that make pupusas, and even fewer that make them so fluffy and full of flavor! Out of all the amazing food on Mississippi this is one of the most reasonably priced as well. Definitely going to be in our regular rotation going forward!

Overall great experience and yummy good! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Super nice staff and lots of seating options.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ordered a chile relleno plate and a cheese a loroco pupusa. The person ringing us up told us the chile relleno were going to be extra fresh (they just finished stuffing the peppers and were about to fry them up). However, we ended up being disappointed because the cheese wasn't melted at all and the relleno wasn't super warm. Wondering if this is because it was so fresh that it wasn't reheated and didn't have a chance to really heat up and melt. Even still, the flavor was really good and I loved the very thin breading and generous amount of sauce! On the other hand, the pupusa was incredible, VERY melty and cheesy! Loved the slaw and sauce that came with it. Would definitely come back here are try different pupusas and the chile relleno burrito!

    Chicken Flautas & Classic Margarita

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute order at the counter style restaurant with available indoor and outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The classic margarita was great and definitely the highlight of my visit. The food, unfortunately, was a bit underwhelming which surprised me. The beans tasted like they weren't seasoned, so I ended up pouring my salsa verde on them just to add some flavor. The rice had a good taste, but the texture felt off. The flautas had good chicken and the salsa roja had a nice kick, but the dish felt like it was missing something. It came with guacamole, shredded lettuce, and a drizzle of sour cream, which is fine, but I think it really needed some diced onion, a squeeze of lime, and a little cilantro to bring everything together. Overall it's just a mix of my expectations vs what the general public accepts, so I'd definitely come back if I was around to just try another dish in hopes for a more rounded flavor experience.

Gotta say this was a hidden surprise as we were just walking down the street and the wife wanted to try something new. Everything from the shell to the texture of the meat, the cheese, and other ingredients were fire. I will definitely be returning for another experience. That will probably close the gap and bring it to 5 stars. Staff was very welcoming and inviting. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great location and environment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

You've got to try this Salvadoran & Mexican place on Mississippi! They are so friendly! I love pupusas (my friend is married to an El Salvadoran man and taught me how to make them). They are even better if I don't have to make them! We both got the 2 pupusa plate that came with beans & rice. I got one zucchini & cheese and chicken & cheese. My husband got jalapeño & cheese and zucchini & cheese. He liked the jalapeño one best and I liked the zucchini the best but honestly they were both excellent. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We ate outside under a shelter, but inside was super clean and colorful. The restroom was very clean too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Come eat at Bicho's-especially if you haven't had a pupusa!

My daughter wanted to try this place and glad we did. The super tacos are pretty big and worth the cost , the papusas were also very good. The workers were all very friendly. We went around 1130 am and it wasn't too busy so got seated quick and also food we ordered was ready pretty quick.

Love the pupusas! Owner was so friendly, prices were fair. I watched the guy make the sauce from scratch for the wet burrito 10/10

Pretty solid pupusa as far as texture goes, and it wasn't greasy. However, it was just not very flavorful. I suppose I'm pretty spoiled because my mother in law makes freaken amazing ones. Lots of options to try and friendly service.

    Mild Salsa (8 oz.)
    Amy A.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very cute vibrant decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The best part was the cheese and jalapeno pupupsa. Amazing cheese pull. The $8.00 chips and salsa was not fresh. Chips were stale and the salsa was more than mild, it was about as spicy a catsup. Been and rice were solid and the chile relleno was better than average. For 2 relleno plates 1 pupusa and chips and salsa, no drinks was almost $50. Order at the counter with self service. Glad we tried it but won't return.

The food was good! I feel like it could have been a bit less oily or maybe that's just their style? The Salvadorian horchata was very good! Tasted great and it had a great after taste. The service was also good! A little slow but I'm sure the food takes time, so I'm not complaining! 4/5 stars - I'm just not a big oil fan. Especially when you lift the food up and it's just a pool of oil.

There's 8 food carts outside, inside there are a cute little bar, a handcrafted churros, a Xocotl, mini market. On site parking for about 15 cars, then street parking at a very busy intersection so look at all directions before you walk or cross anywhere. I would definitely come back to check out the rest of the food carts when I get really hungry. For today's quick brunch while having out with a few friends, my orders were okay with the exception of fried sweet plantains. You just can't go wrong with fried sweet plantains, right? From the La Carreta Pura Vida, Costa Rican cart, I wanted the fish ceviche since I love and prefer the lime based for fish ceviche style. The cashier said they was out. She convinced me to get the Grilled Tilapia Fillet because it came with side salad, black bean, rice, and you guessed it, sweet fried plantains! I also got the watermelon with lemon. My total at this cart was $21.50. The tilapia was about 3-5 oz and salty with no flavor, salad and black been were typical, but the fried sweet plantains saved the day. The drink was okay, and not much taste of either watermelon or lemon. To got rid of the salty dish taste, I ordered plain churros mini for $5.00 from Don Bigote. They were supper busy! It took almost half an hour for my order. They do have a big menu. The churros were made fresh to order. Their sign shows handcrafted churros! I like the churros but didn't care for the artificial strawberries jelly sauce. Xocotl looked good with all the fresh fruits only so I ordered the Diablito for $7.99 since it supposed to have tamarind fruit which I love. I asked to make sure the fruit was actual tamarind and the staff said there's about 3 oz of tamarind. It was rather disappointed with slushy watery iced with some flavor tamarind.
