At the start of my Master's program, I was new to Guelph and did not have any connections to dental practices in the area. I was looking for a clinic that would allow me to shadow the dental professionals to learn more about the dentistry and prepare myself for my future career. Harvard Rd Dental Care welcomed me with open arms! After shadowing in this dental practice for almost 40 hours, I can say that Dr. Hendricks and Dr. Abdalla are true professionals. They spend time with each patient and ensure that the patient understands their own oral health. They talk through all of the possible treatment plans so that patients can have the autonomy to choose what works best for them. The doctors take photos before and after each procedure to show the patient what was accomplished, and ensure that the patient is happy with the outcome. Dr. Hendricks and Dr. Abdalla evidently care about each patient that enters their practice, and their welcoming personalities help patients feel comfortable. The rest of the team at Harvard Rd Dental shows just as much kindness and care for their patients as the dentists do! Deb, Kori, and Jess are great to talk to, but more importantly, excellent dental professionals! Not only are they extremely thorough and efficient in their work, but they also go above and beyond when accommodating for older adults and children. My time at Harvard Rd Dental Care was extremely valuable. All of the staff were patient and answered my questions in detail. I learned so much from my shadowing and cannot thank the team enough for giving me the opportunity to better prepare myself for my future career as a dentist. I would recommend this dental practice to anyone! Elizabeth Worndl

First of all let me say that I have brought my son to 2 dentist before we came here.. First one…read moredidn't work out the second it only worked out cause they used laughing gas on him.. As soon as we go in they made sure we got taken care of right away and you can see that this place is for kids cause the feeling of the area and set up make any kid feel welcomed.. I'm so happy that they were accepting new patients and since someone canceled they were able to schedule my son to be seen by the dentist today. One of the plus I must say about this place is that they do direct billing.. I had to deal with the second dentist we tried we had to pay up front and send in the papers ourself and wait for the reimbursement and we all know going to the dentist is like giving them your whole house it cost so much so not having to pay first and just let them do the direct billing was such a happy thing to hear cause it gives and ease of mind.. Second the staff are very patient I have seen dentist where they force the child to sit of get the parents to hold the child down instead of getting to know the child and building the trust as the dentist we saw today said so that was something I was happy to hear cause my son he is 5 and he went through enough trauma that he is afraid and he cried before they could do anything to him and to hear they want to take it slow build the trust with him made us feel comfortable. If you have 5 to zero patience with kids don't be a dentist for kids cause they tend to get scared or nervous. Despite my son being afraid and it was his first time here he knows he has to go back and he is prepared and ready and he was very happy that they didn't force him to clean or do anything to his tooth.. Thank you again to the staff and dentist for the patience and want to take it easy on my son
