Parking lot is shared with other business, however there is enough. The restaurant is in the very corner of the plaza. There is only a few tables for indoor seating I was here for lunch and it was not as busy. The play music in the background and they have small TV showing pictures of El Salvador. The decor and paintings are cool. I didn't like that to get to the bathroom you have to cross the kitchen but the good thing is that they have bathroom. The prices are much better than food trucks. I got the chicharrón ( pork) pupusa it was good. This place has a faster service than other Salvadoreño Restaurants. The customer is good but less friendly than other Salvadoreño Restaurants. I asked what the square bread at the counter was the girl said it was a " quesadilla" it looked to me more like a cornbread. Quesadilla is queso inside a tortilla hence the name.

THE BEST PLACE IN ALL OF ARIZONA for Pupusas! The food is always fresh and home made. I've been here quite a few times and no matter what I order, the food is always amazing!

Plantains, Crema Salvadorena, and beans

So I've been in here a couple times but this was my first time buying food personally. I've picked up from doordash, I've brought my uncle before, so I needed to try it myself. I really wanted some fried plantains so I yelped where I could find some and this place is literally across the street from my house so it was a quick adventure. The corn tamales were GIANT. Like the biggest ones I've ever had haha. And the plantains were great. I personally like them a little more fried and darkened, that's probably more Cuban or Caribbean style, but it was yummy to try something new. I ate most of the plantains plain but I tried it with the cream and beans a couple times. SUPER GOOD, I just like the plantain flavor itself. The beans were like a liquid. It was yummy, I ate it all. I want more.

This place was yummy... came in yesterday and had a delicious meal. Most nearby places were surprisingly closed for Black Friday so we opted for this place despite the not so great reviews and we were very satisfied with the decision. The service was good, they told us we could sit and then came to take our order. I had the carne asada with a side of crema and a side of queso fresco. It was delicious. The meat was over cooked although I ordered it medium done, however it had a great charred flavor and turned out okay. The beans were not what I expected of traditional refried beans, however they had a great flavor, the rice was also not a traditional casamiento flavor, it was runny and wet with a strong taste of green pepper, it was still good! We also ordered 2 pupusas revueltas ( cheese, beans, and chicharron) they were fire the pupusas were big, warm and cheesy, couldn't have been better! I would definitely recommend this place and come back again.

This quaint little strip mall Pupuseria blaring Salvadoran tunes overhead, and futbol games on TV does very good chicken and pork pupusas in healthy portions, as well as the condiments and sides. If you like the fruit Tamarindo, you'll love their drink rendition. A go to place to get you Pupusa hit.

2 pupusas combo

I've lived in the area for almost 20 years and I'm not sure why I had never tried this place before today. Also, this was my first time eating Salvadorian food. I ordered the 2 pupusas combo, which includes rice and beans. I ordered a pork one and a mixed one (pork, cheese, beans). Honestly, both tasted the same. I really didn't see any meat, so either they messed up my order or the meat is finely chopped. The combo also includes a cabbage mixture and a tomato based sauce. The pupusas where good and freshly made, I enjoyed the rice, the cabbage mixture was also tasty. The beans were not my favorite, they were a bit too salty. If you are ordering for pickup I would suggest ordering ahead of time. I had to wait a bit for my food. I would definitely recommend this place (although, I don't have other Salvadorian restaurants to compare it to since it was my first time).

Found this place on yelp. My friend who is originally from Honduras said this place has authentic food from her hometown. So we came here for dinner. It was not busy during peak hours. The menu had a lot of options that looked so good! But our tummy is too small to eat so much food. So we decided to get the Sampler which includes each of everything. Awesome! (Look at the picture!) All that food cost $17! It included 2 pupusas, 1 tamal, fried yuca, fried pork pieces, empanadas, plantain empanada dessert, and plantain chips (tostones). My friend and I shared this and we were full, as well as had leftover. Love the fried yucca. Flavor was well seasoned. Food was cooked just right, no burnt food. I don't think I'll ever get this kind of food in Hawaii...sadly. One thing I am not satisfied here is the service. The workers here are rude and not attentive. When we walked in the workers stared at us. There was no greeting and didn't even seat us. WTH! This man fixing the ceiling lights saw us and seated us. Maybe he works there? But people there are unprofessional. No check up or water refill. Water tasted horrible btw. Blehhh, tasted like it was right from the faucet sink. When we were done, they didn't even bother to come to get our check. We had to go up to ask for it as well as ask for containers. Service is horrible!!! This is like serve yourself... Sad that food is soo good but service is negative!

Driest ensalada I ever had. Litterally taste like raw green peppers and raw cabbage. Rice tasted like it was boxed Spanish rice. Pupusas were good tho! Gladlys Salvadoreño restaurant in Mesa is way better. Just a heads up..

Thoroughly enjoyed my squash and spinach filled papusas. They were delightful and perfect comfort food. I also love plantains and these were amazing, sweet and well cooked. Having the extra beans and mild salsa took these papusas up a knotch! This meal was extremely filling. Order was vegan.

Delicious pupusas revueltas, tamales de pollo and plátanos fritos. The repollo is well made.

The pupusas are so melty and they literally do not have any good drinks, their frijoles to dip in the pupusas are too watery.

Food was delicious although some items had a bit too much grease / oil …read more Sadly, the empanadas absorbed too much oil and all you could taste was the oil which was unfortunate. It lacked a crisp crust. Filling was tasty. The horchata was sooo good I wanted free refills ! The pupusas were large and had a good amount of filling and they should be at $5.00 per pupusa. They were 45 cents in El Salvador 22 years ago for comparison. The loroco and cheese was really good ! Revuelta también! The tamale was stuffed but it was too soggy for my liking. Like some water got into the inside of the banana leaf during the cook . Overall it was a great little rincón guanaco ! Try it out. Service was all smiles and fast considering they were busy. Ambience is rustic nice and clean. Wish they played more Salvador music. Hello cumbias ! They were playing a great deal of "fuerza regida" which is good listening too.

Was craving pupusas and found this place on Yelp. The reviews did not lie. The pupusas are made…read morefresh, which meant a bit of a wait (about 35 minutes of sitting and waiting), but they were absolutely worth it. We ordered the 3-pupusa combo with 2 sides for $17.40, which was totally worth the price. We tried the pork and cheese, squash and cheese, edible flower with cheese, and grilled steak with cheese. Every single one was so good. It was my first time trying edible flower with cheese, and it ended up being my favorite. Super flavorful and generously packed with filling. For the two sides, I got yuca frita and rice and beans. I liked how hot n crispy the yuca frita was and the rice and beans were delish. The Salvadoran horchata was HUGE and cost $5.90, which felt very reasonable for the size. Overall, everything was delicious, and I'll definitely be coming back whenever I'm craving pupusas.
