The runner's track is clear of debris and exclusively for runners, as indicated by signs. Parking is limited in the designated area, prompting some visitors to park on shaded streets nearby. While there are no public restrooms, two porta-potties are available. Throughout the park, you'll find numerous workout machines, conveniently located, including those near the porta-potties. With multiple entrances, this park is easily accessible, and due to its proximity to a residential area, you might encounter a cat or two. It's worth noting that during my visit, I observed a homeless man sleeping inside the park. Despite this, the park is generally well-kept, although there is an issue with feces in certain areas. On a positive note, there's a Little Free Library near the parking lot, promoting the sharing of books provided by a nonprofit. Operating hours are from 7 AM to 8 PM, ensuring a peaceful environment. Personally, I find the park enjoyable, especially for exercise, though the experience may vary depending on the time and day of your visit. This is a really nice community park. The track was just repaved (10/21). Outside of the track there is a volleyball area with a sand pit, a workout zone with plenty of machines, and beautiful landscaping throughout. This is one of Paramount's hidden gems. The only downside I have to mention is that recreational football and soccer teams frequently visit for practice, which the park is not set up for. It's quite small and should not be utilized as a sport practice meet up. This is what deters me from visiting more frequently. Parking fills up, balls are flying every which way, and it can get quite noisy. Not my ideal setting for some relaxing cardio. I still recommend this park, as the city of Paramount takes great care and it is regularly maintained nice and clean. read more

The park alone is nice, but one of the rules here are "no pets" and people still bring their pets here, and most of them have it OFF THE LEASH. Not everyone is comfortable with dogs around while attempting to enjoy a workout. Please enforce and emphasize the " no pet" rule for those who want to enjoy a workout without the fear of pets, please.. especially if they can't control their pet.. read more

This park is great if you're going for a walk/run with your dog or just a stroll in general. Although it gets a crowd every once in a while due to people having sports practice it's still a great park overall to enjoy the outdoors. I haven't stayed here long but i also hear that it closes its doors early at times and the ones in charge of closing sometimes do not warn you or give you a heads up. Have yet to experience that. read more

I cannot begin to tell you the countless times I've almost tripped while running on sidewalks and streets around the neighborhood . I discovered Salud Park while driving home from my Brothers work down the street . I decided to try it out and was pleased to find a lit running track and various work out equipment. The cleanliness of the park is a huge added plus . You find your occasional piece of garbage or water bottle but you have to expect that at a public park . They have various trash cans located through out the park . The restrooms at the park are limited to two port a pottys that do not have any light so you can imagine the mess and frankly I don't find it fair for the ladies at all . One thing I don't enjoy about the park is that people use the inner turf area of the track for soccer games and practices . You have to constantly be on the look out for soccer balls flying by your head and rolling by your feet . I would hate to see someone get hurt by a soccer ball or player while running . I also think the no bike on the tracks should Be enforced somehow as parents let there kids ride around on bikes and scooters while people are trying to work out . I like this park because they have such a large variety of machines to work on. I also like the different tracks and how much space there is to do workouts on the grass. It doesn't get too crowded which is a plus, and I can't tell you much about the parking because I jog there from home. It's a pretty good park though not too many kids that are there to play so you're able to actually use the Machines instead of waiting for kids to finish messing around on them. It's a pretty good park if you just want to get a workout in and not be interrupted by overcrowding or lines for particular areas or machines. read more

Came for a 20min run to this park. They close at 8pm, usually they guys that close make a round saying "locking up" and on the second round they begin to lock the gates. There are about 8 gated doors they lock and two portable restrooms. There was a few of us still running on the track. The guy just passed us with his little vehicle and locked all the gates in front of us and left us inside the gated/ locked park. At 8pm we called the Paramount Sheriff's Department it took him 19 min to get to us but the Policeman did not have the "master key" to open the locks. The policeman then called the Water and Power department this whole think later about 1 hour 35 min. all together, keep in mind it was 57 F and it is the first day of Winter. ALL OF THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED I'D THAT GUY WOULD HAVE WAITED FOR US ALL TO GET OUT NOT JUST LOCK IS IN LIKE CAGED ANIMALS. Worst Park experience ever. read more

First time I came here with the family, this park gives a great impression right from the beginning. It's super clean, a cozy family vibe. It has three neat options for a walking path right next to each other. The padded option, it has the sand path way, and the regular cement side walk. In the middle it has synthetic grass giving the field a clean and neat look. There's pets, kids and families, just hanging out or playing and it offers a variety of work out equipment to use for free. There's was a tall Big Black guy jogging there., he looked a lot out of place but I felt safe because shortly after there was a security guard patrolling in his SUV. He gave people 45 min after closing time to clear out the park., that's plenty of courteous time. I will be coming here for all my jogging and walking needs. read more
