Just had our doodle groomed there yesterday and they did a GREAT job. So very happy with her cut. The cut was PERFECT. I was surprised such a great groomer was able to get us in within a few days. This really is a hidden gem since I didn't realize they did full groom vs post-boarding dog baths. We've also done the puppy class there, too, which was great (Maribeth is very knowledgeable)! read more

After spending a few weeks calling groomers and big box pet places with no joy, I finally found these guys who were willing to shave the mats off my long-haired cat's backside. The place is a bit difficult to find but is definitely a hidden jewel! They did a great job at a reasonable price and I am sure my cat feels a lot better now. I brought my dog here in the last month and the the staff/owner are extremely welcoming and friendly with dogs. Easy to get him signed up as long as you bring all the documents with you. My puppy couldn't wait to come back the next day! The prices they offer, the packages and the close location to Rt 3/ 101A were the main reason i looked into this day care. I would highly recomend this place as a great way to have your dog get their energy out. read more

The only doggie daycare in Nashua! We were looking for a good doggie school for our dogs Lola and Cooper for months before Salty Claws opened up. We were thrilled to find out about it and have never been disappointed. Our dogs love going to school and get lots of attention and exercise. The place is clean and the staff is very knowledgable regarding dogs and training. Salty claws staff obviously LOVE dogs and make us feel so good that our dogs are being loved when we can't be with them. Also boarding has gone well when we've been out of town. I have sent my two dogs to Salty Claws since the facility opened beginning when they were six months old. They have always had a great experience at Salty Claws until recently. In November over Thanksgiving we left our two dogs there for 8 days. They came back filthy, which was not a big deal since we know they've been playing hard. However, one of the dogs started acting skittish immediately upon arriving home, when I held out a Greenie treat to him. (He ducked his head and cowered on the floor). This has happened more than once. At the time I asked my husband if we should call the kennel and see if anything went wrong. He called and they said nothing happened. Last weekend I left the dogs for 2 nights. On Monday morning my husband picked up the dogs and one of the dog's entire backside was covered in feces. Both dogs were absolutely filthy, and there's a large cut on the side of one dog's neck. The desk says nothing unusual occurred. My husband has left two messages for the owner. No response. I can't feel good about leaving them there again. Will look into other options. Suggest you do the same if you are reading this. read more

Fantastic experience with the groomer. My dog has severe anxiety and doesn't like getting his nails cut at all. His usual nail lady was out on leave so I called Salty Paws to squeeze him in. They were happy to do so in a short notice! They allowed me to go into the back with him to keep him feeling safe as they cut his nails. She did a fantastic job with the Dremel, making them nice and short without hurting my anxious pup. He was shaking and scared, but she was so great and comforted him the whole time, letting me hold him and be there to make him feel better. It was a great experience, considering how high anxiety my dog is. I would definitely return if his regular groomer is unavailable again! read more

I had been to Salty Claws a few times and was happy with their service. So when I went this month to get my dog's fur trimmed with the same cut they usually did, I was told that they didn't keep records and my usual person had gone to Florida and they had new person. When I went to pick up my dog, they asked me to pay first before getting her. I was stunned when they told me the cost was $65 for a 17 lb. dog. I said that was much more than they used to charge and they said the groomer was more expensive and that was what everyone was charging now. It's not. To add insult to injury, when my dog came out , it was the worst haircut she had ever gotten. The groomer cut off all her whiskers including around her eyes, the cut was uneven, and a wart on her back had been nicked. It was never mentioned that happened. What reputable groomer cuts off all dogs whiskers or lets the owner know that she nicked the dog? When I called several days later to let them know, they didn't really seem to care. I will never go back there. read more

I have been taking my Molly to Salty claws for many years now since they opened actually. I can't say enough about the love and care that they have given her. When Molly knows she's in that building her tail wags and she can't wait to get in there to start playing with all the other dogs and the staff. I take Molly there as many times as I need to when I go on trips and they're always waiting for Molly to arrive. I just want to thank Jen and the staff for giving Molly so much attention. Saltyclaws offers an excellet boarding service and doggie daycare. Our pitbull puppy is extremely energetic and he has come home happy and tired anytime that we have sent him to Saltyclaws. The staff is so friendly and attentive. Our dog has food allergies (wheat) and they were extremely careful with his feedings and with his treats. We boarded him for the first time over Thanksgiving, and the staff gave me a full progress report everyday when I called. It's comforting to know that they care about your pet just as much as you do. read more

We switched from another local dog daycare a few months ago and are so glad we did. The first thing you should notice is how clean the place is. They scrub the whole faciility every night. The staff is always professional and recognize that during drop off you need to move fast to get to work. Now the best part- we have two dogs, both high energy, but one is a special boy that needs constant attention. He is incredibly high maintanance, but you would never know it - the staff always welcome them both. 5 well deserved stars. read more

Brought my mini aussie here for the first time for a basic grooming after years of taking her to Pet's Choice in Merrimack because they had increased the price on me a couple of times. Saltyclaws is very affordable compared to many other places. I would recommend confirming the quote given on the phone before the service so there are no surprises. (I'm glad I did and they happily confirmed the quoted price and stuck to it). The service took about an hour and a half which is very reasonable in my opinion. She came out nice and clean and fluffy and a couple of weeks later is still as soft as ever! One thing to consider is that the grooming station is very near the play areas for the daycare dogs and it can be very noisy, so nervous dogs may not be able to relax in this environment but otherwise I recommend and will be back. read more

My wife and I have brought our dogs here for boarding often over the last 4 years, believing they provide 24 hours care during boarding. This is not the case. They purport 24 hour care, in fact in a newspaper interview (Nashua Telegraph) they stated as such. This is not the truth. They abandon the dogs at 9pm. They should change the name to Saltyclause, pet negligence. read more

For the first time today I brought our 3 cocker spaniels to Salty Claws to be groomed. It was very easy to make an appointment and everyone was so friendly and willing to listen to how I wanted the pups to look. They were ready by early afternoon and looked absolutely wonderful! They were groomed exactly the way I requested and my happy "kids" were ready to return home to nap. The facility is so clean that it's hard to imagine that dogs come every day to be pampered. I have two dogs and have been so impressed with this daycare. The staff are very knowledgeable about dogs health and behavior. They also provide appropriate discipline and rewards, which I really appreciate as this reinforces our home training.The best part is that they care for the dogs like their own! LOVE this place! In the past, my dogs were always traumatized when I brought them to the big chain stores for grooming. This place is different, very clean, nice padded flooring, lots of happy dogs in the play area and you can tell the staff loves the animals. My yellow lab wandered off and rolled in something absolutely horrible smelling, so days later I decided to try out Salty Claws to have him cleaned up, also brought my 14 yr old Black lab. They were so nice, did a fabulous job cleaning up both dogs and the price was far better than the chain stores (she had to wash the smelly yellow lab 3 times but still did not complain or charge a bunch of extra money like most places would have). On top of that she got them both done in an hour and a half. HIGHLY recommended! read more

My dog has been with them since they first opened several years ago, and has gotten a consistent day of excersise and socialization every single time he goes to visit his friends. I love Saltyclaws....and my dogs do too! I take one of my dogs to daycare here about once a week to socialize and blow off some energy. I've also used their boarding services and can't be happier! I had visited every facility in the greater Nashua area but couldn't find a right match....I have 2 Extra Large breed dogs with different needs (ones dog friendly and the other isn't) and wanted them boarded together plus I wanted to make sure the place I was leaving them at would care for them like I do....Saltyclaws accommodated my every request plus I know that they are being cared for by people that truly love each and every dog. Their Groomer Andrea is awesome and takes special care of each and every dog she grooms. (Plus she makes the most wonderful homemade dog bows!) I can't say enough good things about Saltyclaws and their staff. This place is definitely worth looking into! read more

We absolutely love Saltyclaws! Everyone there is wonderful! We bring our dog weekdays because of our busy schedules and every day, she trots right in, excited to see her friends (both human and dog). The customer service is phenomenal and we really feel like Saltyclaws provides a second family for our dog. They really care for her and it shows.
