I am on a camping roadtrip with my two dogs and husband. I had a wedding to photograph where my…read morehusband was also invited. I started to panic because it was supposed to be really hot that day and we didn't have a good place for the dogs. I called so many places but none were still in business until I called Sustainable Pooch! We were able to drop our dogs off with Genie who watched our girls overnight. Usually the sitters stay where you are staying, but we are only in a camper so I was thrilled Genie could take our girls in. Our dogs loved her, and she sent a picture at the end of the night of them snuggling with her! I was thrilled to see this, because we were in a strange town and I may or may not have missed them already. ;) Definitely give them a call for any petsitting needs you have in Key West!

We are here for several months and Sami needed his allergy vaccine. I looked at the reviews and…read morethen met an owner who highly recommended the practice so I made an appointment. The staff was over the top friendly and welcoming. Dr. Marty was so thorough asking questions and reviewing the records I brought for him. His tech, Sammie (sp?) was very nice and we loved her name. I also had his anal glands expressed and that too was done by a very nice tech. I wish I would have asked for everyone's names to give them the credit they deserve. Mary makes the appointments and she and her front desk colleague are very accommodating and nice! I'm interested in relocating back to Key West and when I do this will be our vet team hands down!!! We genuinely appreciate what you do and how well you do it!

Laney trained me and my dog in private sessions. Her approach to training fostered a relationship…read morebetween my dog and me that will allow me to continue to train my dog (and me!) on my own. I felt some guilt for being a bad owner, having had my dog for years and having never sought the help of a trainer. As the sessions went on, I got over my guilt and realized that my dog has more energy and is more engaged now that he has been trained-- rather than having a dog that dreads being asked to "do things" like sit and stay--I find that he loves the challenge and engagement--and is hungry for more! And so I would say it is never too late! And if you want to build a relationship with your pet, there is no better person to help you do that than Laney!

So I was just wondering around Little Italy and found this pretty cool pet store. They have…read morecollars, leashes and very soft beds so soft I wouldn't mind having one for myself. This is a new pet store but I'm sure they'll be here for a long time. There is definitely a boutique feel here but I love that feeling of an upscale pet store. It's not a huge space and parking is a little tight but there's parking on the street. The employee that helped me I forgot his name but he was very helpful and very knowledgeable about the products he sold. They have a little bit of everything from dog food, cat food, bedding and even spa treatments. I'm not in the area a lot but when I am and want to do some dog shopping I will definitely come here.

We loved it so much that when the second week also stopped in Key West, we made a point of going back there to pick up a few more things for the dog and cat lovers in our family (in other words, everyone). The owner, Mary Anne, is such a nice person, that even if you don't need to buy anything, it's worth dropping in just to talk with her.

They had all types of cute treats decorated like sharks, turtles, lobsters, owls, etc. I ended up getting the shark and then one bone that says happy birthday. There were some small decorated bones as well so I got those too. The owners were so nice and helped me at the register wrapping each treat individually. Their customer service was great, and the gentleman even gave me small flower looking treats complimentary for the party. He said they were blueberry flavored and let me tell you-- they ended up being all the dogs' favorite treat out of all of the ones I brought! I did look around the store and they seem to have so many cool and speciality items for dogs. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to spoil their four-legged family member. Also, there's plenty of parking outside the store which was one less stress to worry about when going to key west!
