They even leave a TV on in each room to keep the dogs (and cats) company. They also have a large outdoor (artificial turf) fenced play area that's pawsome, complete with a fire hydrant and play equipment. The staff are all very professional but kind and friendly. They are all pet owners so they understand how worrisome it can be to leave your fur baby in a strange place. Finn has many friends at D'Tails now. My dog pooped when he went in the door because he's always nervous when he gets groomed. My daughter-in-law Kim comes with me to take our dogs. Kim picked up Harley's poop & put it in a plastic bag that was provided. Because there was no container right outside the door (by the steps) like there normally is, Kim put the bag with poop on the counter. Tosha went off on Kim about putting the plastic bag on the counter & said for her to walk up to the entrance at the top of the hill to put it in the yellow garbage bin. Tosha continued yelling & even used the "F" word & said we're lucky that she didn't throw the poop bag on my car. I have never experienced that kind of treatment by any other employee at the Doggie Lodge & today will be my last day as a customer with 2 dogs. It's never easy saying goodbye to a beloved member of the family. They may have four paws, but…read morethey still belong to you through the thick and thin. I just happened to be in need of a service like this, the last thing on my mind at that time was what I was going to do with my little man. Their name put me at ease too. Pets After Life Services shortened to PALS is truly a great name. I had called the local vet office and they referred me here. This was the place that they used in times of need and I figured my little man could use the same services. I had called ahead to set up a time to bring him here and have him taken care of. Even though it was a hard time and I was scatter brained about everything, they showed compassion and took their time with me. They walked me through everything over the phone before I arrived. When I did arrive they showed me more compassion while I was in here. They showed me how much they care about your fur baby as much as you do. They told me everything that would happen and everything that would happen afterward. I was able to select the urn like container that I would receive little man back in. After they did what they did they called and I headed back to pick little man up. I received him in my selected urn like container with a certificate with his name on it, the Rainbow Bridge poem, and a detailed receipt. Honestly, I never want to be put in this position again, but they put me at ease in my time of need. I miss him every day, but I at least know I gave him the dignity he deserved in the end.
