As someone who loves the oatmeal cream sandwiches this is next level! They have cream cheese filling that's rich but I couldn't stop eating more. I throughly enjoyed this place.

This is the place for you if you love decadent cream puffs I stopped by for a quick sweet tooth fix and got 1 Birthday cake and 1 Corn and Blueberry (2 for $6.50) The Birthday cake cream puff was definitely my favorite. The crispy exterior and soft centre filled with almond cream was perfect The Corn and Blueberry was very good too with light sweet corn and blueberry flavor They also have macarons, and cookie sandwiches Next time I will try their lil scrappys treats!

Cute spot with super friendly staff. Tried the cream puff and the cookie sandwich. We were a fan of the salted chocolate caramel cookie sandwich - nice light and not too sweet cream cheese type middle between 2 chewy cookies. Delicious!

a Saltadena cake was my one non-negotiable for our wedding ceremony. nancy and her crew always knock it out of the park and this cake was absolutely perfect. it was gorgeous, and SO delicious (highly recommend that lemon curd filling). Thanks to the Saltadena team for making my special day so much more amazing!!!

Walked in the door and was immediately hit with the smell of fresh chocolate cake. Now that's a way to get me to buy every single thing offered! Besides the amazing smells, this place serves up fresh cookies, macaroons and creative cream puffs. They also take all cake scraps, add frosting and serve it in a container called a 'lil' scrappy'. Cannot recommend this enough! I got a cookies and cream lil scrappy and a peanut butter chocolate cream puff for my partner, which lasted all of 2 seconds after he saw it. Everything was amazing and perfectly satisfied my sweet tooth!

Wow. This was by far the most amazing creampuff I have had in my lifetime! It was my first time visiting this lovely little bakery and it definitely was not my last time. My husband and I both enjoy these cookies and cream puffs. Tonight we will be trying out their cupcakes. I can honestly say I now have a new favorite bakery in Bellingham. To top it off the person who opened the shop was super sweet and helpful. I'd like to also add that the prices were reasonable, not excessively expensive like some of the other bakeries in downtown.

Salt and pepper chocolate for the win!

When you walk into this cute little bakery you first notice the simplicity. Exposed red brick, in contrast with the white decor. Subtle pops of pastels. And then the smell hits you. Sweetness. And your eyes are brought to the goodies behind the glass panels. The cakes: moist, flavorful, dense. The salt and pepper chocolate is one of their most popular flavors and let me tell you why. Have you ever watched that Netflix series, Salt Fat Acid Heat? This little slice of heaven embodies just that. Flaky salt on top of the soft and buttery chocolate cake, the creamy frosting with the crispy crunchy bits, and to excite your taste buds... the heat from the pepper. There is no other way to put this, but it is DAMN GOOD. The best part is, if you don't care about your cake looking pretty, you can grab a small container of their 'Lil Scrappies and have a "piece of cake" that tastes exactly the same but $2 cheaper. It's so brilliant on the owners part! She is making money on something that at another bakery would probably just waste!! Another amazing thing is they take Applepay. Thank god, because I don't always carry my wallet and when the craving hits, it hits hard and I NEED MY CAKE! The service is on point. No need for fancy wording here. They're just really nice people.

Here's the thing guys... Bellingham has had a faithful relationship with a few other spots in town, it's like... classic Bellingham? Ya know. And I'm here to tell ya that Saltadena Bakery is next level and I'm so here for it. I'm a bit over the mainstream cake madness. First of all, the space...aesthetically pleasing AF, but not over done in a super hipster I can't get this dirty way. The brick accent wall pulls it all together... really. OK. So Lil Scrappies! Here we go, cutting edge? Like this is absolutely genius. The scraps of the cake, eliminating waste, a perfect amount of frosting to balance it out and you have this mish mash of perfection. Next level. I got the chocolate with salt and pepper buttercream and it was probably the best I've ever had, EVER. I'm a fan of a sweet salty relationship but this flavor combination with the chocolate, like what? There were tons of unique flavor combinations, I think a sweet corn vanilla and or a salted caramel banana? It's a surpasses basic and the flavor, texture, and everything about it shows that the person behind the curtain knows what they're doing and I'm all about it. I got some oat milk to wash it all down and it was perf. I'm stoked to go back to try the rotating cream soda and shakeratos. There aren't many places you can grab those in town. Also highlight that they serve Camber coffee which in my opinion is Bellingham's best. Okay so Saltadena stay forever.

The women working were DOLLS! So sweet. I could tell they had the ordering counter down to a science and were super efficient while still being friendly and spending time with each customer. The gluten free carrot cake was decadent and flavorful. The creme brule was lovely. The caramel bar (not gluten free) was reported to be quite good as well. I can't wait to come back!

They're located in a small plaza next to a hair salon. We dropped in on a Saturday (around 1:00pm) and there was a small lineup outside. It's a tiny shop with limited selection. Service wasn't the friendliest but it's more of a grab and go spot. There are two small tables outside if you choose to linger. Small selection of pastries, bread and macarons along with a few drink options. 15 macaron flavours ($2.00 each) and two creative macarons ($3.00 each) were available. - Chocolate twist ($3.60) - J bought a twist to eat right away. I sampled a bite; flaky, buttery and fresh. - 6x Macarons ($12.00 for 6) - we opted for the passionfruit chocolate, earl grey chocolate, matcha, mango, pistachio and black currant. All sounded great but we wanted bolder, stronger flavours. Favourite of the bunch was the black currant. GM&F is a cute French pastry shop to check out if you're in the area. 3.5 stars.
