Just found my local salad spot! This location looks new, and the staff all seem to be new-hires as…read morewell. Plenty of open seating in a clean diner. If you're unfamiliar, like I was, this is a Chipotle-style, make-your salad place. There isn't very much signage as you walk in, but the bar makes everything orderly and easy to see and order. Plenty of good proteins, bases, and veggies to choose from. I walked in as the doors were opening, and I got a welcoming greeting when I reached the counter. The "regular" size is HUGE and was more like 2 servings. I added the baked salmon to my mixed greens bowl, and it was very filling for my lunch over 2 days. That makes the price of the bowl totally worth it. All of it delicious! They had a pan of fresh-baked cookies out, and I had to get one. I thought they'd be crispy but ended up being on the soft side. They are huge though. Still tasty! I'll be back, often.

Here is what I ordered: Kale, Arugula, Spinach, Mushroom, bean sprouts, red onion, cabbage, mixed cheese, Parmesan cheese, blue cheese, feta cheese, balsamic vinaigrette, classic Caesar, Salmon, almonds, walnuts, chopped bacon and baked pita strips. 5/5 The regular salad was big and I had ended up having left overs. No complaints and highly recommended

I had the falafel plate with two sides and it was a very nice portion for the price point. The staff was very friendly while explaining the menu. This location is inside Politan Row and at that time there were plenty of seats and it was clean.

It's located in a food hall and done with it so they have a lot of other options. The pool hall has free parking so necessarily worried LOL. Trying to find some place to park. And the food hall there is a large bar so if you wanted to drink with your food then that would be fine. Sheesh fries - The fries are pretty good actually. They give you a lot of fries because it feels like it's an entree type order. So even if you only got fries, you'd probably be good to go. They're top very well, and they have plenty of sauce. If you need more you can always ask for maybe some on the side. Shawarma egg roll - The egg rolls are really good. I kind of feel like I wish there were more of them LOL. But they were pretty damn good. They came with a couple of sauces but honestly, then you really need the extra and the sauces department. Hummus - The hummus was okay. Nothing too major. I have a friend who is Lebanese and I know what it feels like to have homemade hummus, so I'm really skeptical on that because I know what hummus should taste like LOL. But this was good. Actually I threw some hummus on the fries and it was all good. If you want quick food that actually tastes good, this is a good option. They're not a whole lot of Mediterranean restaurants in the Atlanta area that are stellar, and that is still true, but this one's pretty decent. If you want to stop off and try something that is good.

Unfortunately, there aren't enough fast food joints with a focus on fresh salads but lucky for me, Doc Green's was right on my pathway for the day. Located in a huge plaza in Smyrna, Doc Green's is a salad lovers dream. I can't believe this was my first visit! The restaurant itself is narrow but long, offering plenty of seating in the back of the place, as well as the entryway. Doc Green's is actually paired with another restaurant it seems, but I was focused on the salad. They have some recommended combos but you can also create your own with a wide array of toppings. I was in heaven looking at all of the fresh veggies, proteins and dressings available. I decided to create my own and just went wild. I was super bummed because I ended up forgetting some favorites (like avocado) because I didn't see/notice them on the cold bar. I chose my dressings, had it mixed up and then checked out. I opted for a fountain drink and unfortunately, the lemonade was toooooo sweet. But that was the only downside because my salad was wonderful!! Everything was fresh, the portions were generous and I felt like I got my money's worth. I'm always in the Akers Mill plaza buying things I don't need so I can't wait to grab another salad at Doc Green's when I'm in the neighborhood!
