We went to see a show and decided to have a bit of dessert before going home. There are many places to grab some ice cream in Paris but I know Salt & Straw recently opened and I wanted to try it. I've actually wanted to try Salt & Straw for years but whenever I was near one, it just never worked out. I'm glad they are in Las Vegas now. Not gonna lie, even though I'm not usually directionally challenged and I used to work in this building, finding the place was a bit hard. We walked around the whole casino, not seeing it or any signs for it. I opened my Yelp app and looked at the pictures and realized it was outside. So in case you get lost as well, this shop is located outside of the main casino, in one of the Eiffel Tower legs on Las Vegas Blvd. Walking in, we were greeted immediately. There were a few people waiting to help us and some other people who walked in. The shop isn't that big but it's enough to maneuver comfortably. The person helping us was super nice and patient. We tried a few flavors before settling on one and were shocked they use real spoons. Yes, the tasting spoons are little metal demitasse spoons. I wanted to pocket one but I controlled myself. Everything we tried was great but I had to get the salted, malted chocolate chip cookie dough in a limited time brownie waffle cone. It was decadent and absolutely delicious. Super crave-worthy. Obviously, this place is a bit expensive, especially since it's on the Strip. We paid over $20 for two cones, but it was really good and I didn't feel disappointed in spending the money on it.

I noticed this location as we were walking and of course we had to come back! It seems like this is their new location located right under the Eiffel Tower. It is a small location but cozy. The staff were all very friendly and there was barely any wait time. The ice cream was delicious as always. There isn't many places to sit and enjoy so we continued walking while enjoying.

From the outside this place looks like it's been closed but just had to make sure and wouldn't you know it, it was open. This place has an incredible selection of flavors. Not typical flavors but a lil something for everyone. My first experience was at the original in Portland OR. Now they have definitely spread out. If you have the opportunity to stop in and try a couple samples of something new and different, it will be an experience you will remember and want another.

Black pepper + ice cream...? Not the flavors I anticipated when I walked into Salt & Straw but WOW. I didn't want to be greedy and sample every single flavor (although the very kind lady behind the counter said it was perfectly fine) so I narrowed it down to just a few. Our first trip, I tried the Malted Salted Chocolate Chip cookie dough on a waffle cone. It was rich - very rich. More salted than I expected but not nearly overpowering and it paired perfectly with the chocolate. The second night I got the Strawberry Honey Balsamic & Black Pepper on a waffle cone and it was the perfect treat for walking down the hot strip. The flavors meshed very well and it had a slight kick in the end. The shop was nice and clean and the staff kept the line moving well. This will be one of my first stops when I make it back to Vegas.

This location is right under the Eiffel Tower! It's really easy to miss especially when navigating through the strip but now we found it!! And, it's the perfect stop to get an ice cream and watch the water dance in the Bellagio across the street at night time! Always love the new flavors that they have! This time, we got the cereal flavor series and everything was yummy! We sampled everything and all of the flavors are spot on.

1 day trip to Vegas and had to make a stop when I saw my fave dessert stop. Great chocolate oriented flavors this month...go now.

Ice cream flight

The ice cream is so good! Such unique flavors. We did the flight because we couldn't pick just one flavor to try! They do give you little samples like most ice cream places do which is nice! The service was awesome and quick! The only downside was no seating at all so we had to go sit on the bus stop benches outside. I guess If you get a cone or just one scoop you can walk and eat it but we wanted to sit and enjoy our flight.

So. Many. Flavors! Staff were super friendly and let us try multiple different kinds while still being very cautious of my intense allergies. I ended up getting Pots of Gold and Rainbows and the Almond Brittle. So so good!

The customer service was outstanding--warm, welcoming, and genuinely generous. They encouraged me to try as many flavors as I wanted and treated me with a kind of family-style hospitality that's rare these days. And the location? You truly can't beat it. Sitting at the Paris Hotel, right under The Eiffel Tower and the Bellagio fountains right in front, it felt surreal. It's the kind of place that instantly becomes part of the evening rather than just a stop along the way. This might officially be my new favorite after-dinner treat.

Two scoop cup, almond brittle and birthday cake/blackberries

Salt & Straw at Paris is such a great combination! First, the ice cream is so good. I tried a bunch of different flavors and got the almond brittle flavor and birthday cakes & blackberries. The staff was super helpful and patient, especially with my niece (toddler), who was in heaven. Loved the location, an easy stop while checking out the strip with visiting family.

Ghirardelli is the only chocolate I eat, sorry not sorry. :) It just tastes *different, and since I was a first timer to this location I had to take it all in. :) Service was OK enough. There was one employee who seemed to be manning the front entrance, greeting customers, etc., and then once he got them inside he would direct another employee to ring up the order. I only have been to the location at California Adventure, so I didn't have a lot to compare it to, but this was very good time as well. If you're at the Linq Promenade, you have to make a stop here. Check out the menu's dessert deals which bundle 2 or more of their items with a few bucks savings compared to if they were purchased separately. Cookies cannot be purchased individually and must be bought in sets of 3. We tried the compost cookie, oatmeal cream, and the peanut butter flavors-- the compost cookie had the most structure and chew, some crunch from pretzels and potato chips, and a delightful flavor of coffee along with the sweet and salty theme. That one was my favorite! The oatmeal cream cookie was super soft / limp with almost no chew and was heavily spiced-- wasn't a fan of it. And if you enjoy peanut butter, their peanut butter cookie had that classic sweet PB cookie flavor with a touch of grittiness (in a good way). The cookie was soft and a touch cakey but still had some chew. Overall, I'd get the compost cookie again for sure and try the other flavors (not getting the oatmeal one again!). As for cakes, the seasonal maple cookie butter cake slice was veryyy sweet but delicious! The layer of cookie butter was like a biscoff cookie paste and worked well with the maple flavor. The cake layers were actually pretty moist too and were more there as vehicles for the sugary frosting. Would recommend for someone with a big sweet tooth, otherwise it might be sugar overload for a normal person. Fun to try something besides the usual vanilla and chocolate flavors. Service was friendly each time I visited. The legendary crack pie has been renamed the "milk bar pie." Check out Milk Bar for a sweet treat any time of the day-- I'll be back next trip to try the soft serve!

Once we ordered our food, it felt like only 5-10 minutes passed before we got it, which I think is pretty fast. It also came in a fancier to-go container with a transparent lid, which definitely helped maintain the presentation. The egg white omelet wasn't too heavy, and I liked how it was flatter, which made it easy to split so my husband and I could also order a crepe. The strawberry and cream crepe we chose had a decent amount of strawberries on top and a generous helping of whipped cream on the side. They had a Nutella option, but none with both. Many moons ago, some good friends and colleagues of mine in NYC (where it all started for Black…read moreTap) told me the first satellite of this cool place would be coming to Vegas at the Venetian property. It opened at the end of 2017, and I've been coming regularly from LA to Black Tap in LV for over eight years. Whether biz or pleasure (or both), it's a great place to go while you are in town. Now they have locations all over the world, a few of which I've been to; but Vegas is my favorite location of theirs by far. (But to be fair, I've never been to the OG in Soho!) Everything you see, taste, hear and feel at any Black Tap is fresh, fun and somehow eerily familiar. Good music. Good people. Great food. Great beer. Almost like a cool neighborhood tavern or favorite restaurant that you often go to in your own hometown. But not too cool or not too hip. Not snooty. Down to earth. Warm and welcoming. That all comes in handy whether you've had a good day or a bad day at the tables, or elsewhere, whatever reasons may bring you to Vegas. Having a good mood? It keeps you going. Having a bad day? It won't be any longer if you come here. It's a blast and rewarding every time you go no matter who you are or what you've been doing. The amazing ambience, aura, and positive vibes here are off the charts. It's really one of a kind in my experiences here. They've got legendary burgers that win awards and should win more. Outrageous shakes you can't find anywhere else. Wings that burst with unique flavors. Veggie options that raise the game. And, of course, a rotating seasonal beer list that focuses on local craft beers in the area. Over the years at Black Tap in Vegas the servers, bartenders, hosts and other staff come and go -- just like they do at any other place. But Black Tap management (and founders/owners) knew a good thing when they created it, and wisely wanted to keep it going with their basic mission intact. They've more than succeeded IMO. So many places in Vegas come and go. Some don't even last a year. But Black Tap in Vegas is going on 9 years now with no signs of stopping. If anything it keeps getting better. As evidence of that ongoing mission of Black Tap, and keeping things up to their standards, and fun, and relevant, rather than just resting on its laurels or name recognition, their managers certainly know who to hire as staff this special place. They somehow always get the right people to work here. Not had bad experience ever here in Vegas. For example, a relatively new bartender (Brianna) on my last visit here a couple weeks ago (for lunch this time) handled a crowded bar like she'd been working at Black Tap for years. Bars get busy. Patrons want service. Customers aren't always the most patient. Regardless, she handled a demanding lunchtime crowd, including me, with such charming personality, skill, and hard work. She was truly grace under pressure. My glasses were never empty. My plates had what they were supposed to. And all tasted awesome as you come to expect once you come here -- all with the positive mood, vibes and overall atmosphere you come here to enjoy. That's what you get when you go to Black Tap in Vegas, whenever you go. Thanks for keeping it going Brianna! And thank you to the entire Black Tap team there in Vegas. See you all again soon... and for those of you out there who still haven't been here at least once already, you now know where should go for burgers, beers, shakes, and beyond. You're welcome. ;)
