After being ignored for another 15 minutes, another server came to the table and said they didn't have any red wine...we gave up and walked out. We were brought chips and salsa, and before we could even settle in, our waiter was openly rude to us about not ordering food and drinks. He then walked over to other staff, pointed directly at our table, and talked about us in plain sight. Incredibly unprofessional. He came back and rudely informed us he was charging us for the chips. This is the same Chuy's whose own menu advertises that "you always get free chips and salsa." He topped it off by telling us he'd "never seen someone come in and not order food." We were paying customers and got treated like an inconvenience for ordering drinks. If you're searching for Mexican food or Tex-Mex in Franklin or Cool Springs with friendly service, keep looking. There are plenty of Mexican restaurants in Franklin, Tennessee that treat guests with basic respect. Rude waiter, surprise charges, and being gossiped about mid-meal. We won't be back.
