We were traveling through this small town in Kenton. This place was recommended by the lady at the liquior store. It was very good and portions were very large. Prices are normal about 14 to 17 per person. The salsa that come with the chips taste homage and has a bit of spice to it. I got the fajitas you can't really go wrong with them any where you go. My wife got the tacos. They were literally filled with tons of meat. I wished I got those once they came to the table. If your traveling through stop in. Holy guacamole, this place, OMG SO FREAKING GOOD! Usually the salsa at Mexican restaurants are not good, but this one ladies and gentlemen is GOOD! I ordered Camarones a la Diabla and I can see the devil seething next to me, spicy, flavorful, good presentation and good portion. I was just driving around and stop expecting anything, but my friends based on what I ordered, this is the place in Kenton! The staff is friendly and aware if you need anything. Recommended 100%. I used to live in Kenton several years ago, and my brother-in-law and I ate here at least twice a week for lunch... always good, also great service. I moved out of state and came back to visit several years later. One of the owners recognized me and asked how I was doing. Food was still great and the service still very good. I was up earlier this year for a funeral and once again, stopped by to have lunch. I was again recognized and the lunch was on the house since I was there for a funeral. Stopped in for the lunch buffet. Seem to have the standard items for this type of restaurant. Sampled a little bit of everything and it was not bad. Just about what you would expect for a Mexican themed restaurant in the Midwest. While I would not make this my go-to Mexican restaurant don't have a problem stopping in when I am in the area. Man oh man did this food hit hard. The Californian burrito was delicious, might have a gained a couple pounds from the meal but it's worth it. The server was wonderful, and gave some spectacular recommendations. Only thing that bothered me was the music, I couldn't understand a wink of it. I gave Salsa's 4 stars not because their food is that amazing but because they have decent food in Kenton Ohio. If you want a place to dine other then fast food in Kenton, then Salsa's just might suit your fancy. The food is always pretty good and really really fast....like WOAH I just ordered 5 minutes ago fast. Margarita's are usually good and Sangria's too. My go to is always the chicken taco salad or chimichangas, the husband goes for the burrito California which is actually the size of California. The kids always enjoy the dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets, because you know children are pleased with any kind of chicken in nugget form. read more

Average food. Very, Very poor service. The waiter acted as if he hated his job. No smiles and very cut and dried. never came back to the table and asked if we needed anything. When our meal was completed we asked for boxes to take our food home. The waiter milled around twice past our table and then was chatting with another employee for a while right by thr take out boxes. I had to get up and ask him again for the boxes after about 15 minutes went by. He never said he was sorry and never thanked us when he finally brought the check. The food was okay, but waiter not very friendly and seemed not to fully understand any questions about the food that deviated from the menu. Took a bit to get drink/food order. Some requested items forgotten, took awhile to get check....they weren't very busy so not sure what the delays were about. Salsas used to be one of my favorite places to go, but I guess the owners and waitstaff realized that other than Henry's they're the only other sit down restaurant in town, and the only Mexican restaurant for miles around. I suppose this gives them liberties to Dick around, be rude to customers and not give a shit about your food. I've been countless times mostly because it's the ONLY place to go. I think I've only ever had two good experiences and they were so long ago that now I can't recall a thing about it. It's been drowned out by shitty service and shitty food. Sorry, but I've worked this industry, there's no reason I have to sit in my seat for 15 min without a drink when they're not busy. Or be done with your food and wait half an hour for them to even think about coming to your table to give you your check. It's really gone down hill. I've also heard the owners of salsas are thinking of opening an Italian restaurant in Kenton. If it's anything like salsas I won't be going there. I'm also aware that the staff does not like me which is obvious by the way they argue over who has to even ring me out. I'm not being mean, but apparently asking for decent service like I would give people is too much to ask. Now if you're going for margaritas, you might as well get a pitcher because if you go by the glass you'll be sober before your next one comes to you. Walked in 5 minutes after they opened. I ordered the lunch buffet. The food was already cold. Not to mention that one of the waiters and bus boys were sitting in a booth texting and dicking around on their phones. What a shame. This place used to have an attentive and friendly wait staff with fresh, piping hot food. Oh, and to the employees/owner of this establishment, here's a tip - if you're going to make fun of your patrons in Spanish, maybe do it where they can't hear you. I enjoyed the actual food, mostly. The chips with the salsa were very stale. The service we received was awful. The server gave me the wrong food (I ordered steak quesadillas and received chicken), which isn't a big deal to me (I didn't send it back) but seriously... this is your job. Get it right. Second, neither I nor anyone else got their drink refilled. Finally, a man who looked to be the manager was assisting our server. He was incredibly abrupt and definitely made it obvious he didn't want to wait on us. I know every place has a bad day but this made a pretty terrible first impression on me. read more
