Decent place food was real good price are so so I went on my lunch break when they open around 11am worth the trip if your around the Elizabeth town area

    Okay small cheese pizza

I'm back at General RV and this place has outside covered seating. This time I'll order the fries but try the Hawaiian Cheeseburger Sub rather than pizza. The "small" sub is a foot long; too much for me so $5 of the $10 went into the bin. It's enough for two. The fries are $4 and worth it.

This place was just ok. My family ordered a pepperoni pizza which they all enjoyed, wasn't mind blowing. I ordered the gluten free pizza and I DO NOT recommend. The crust was flavorless, the cheese also had no flavor. Just very bland. The cheese fries where made with a nasty cheese. Wouldn't go back.

When moving to a new area, finding a pizza joint is high on one's list, correct? The first restaurant that I tried when I moved to Mount Joy was Sal's Pizza & Italian Restaurant (SP). Since then I've been a fan and it's about time I give them a review. Owner Sal Bellia is the son of Francesco and Anna Bellia who own P&J Pizza, which is also in Elizabethtown. Sal spent many years working with his family at their restaurant, and back in 2011 he decided to open his own store. SP make their own pizza dough and rolls daily, and their marinara is a family recipe. I love their pizzas--not too greasy and the crust is great. I'm not a fan of thin crust pizza so I love SP's crust. My favorite so far is the White Spinach with fresh ricotta. Delicious! The only negative I will say is that we ordered a Broccoli and Bacon Pizza the first time and the broccoli was definitely frozen instead of fresh. Not good. SP--please use fresh vegetables! It would have made all the difference. SP also has a drive-thru. Call up, order and then go through the drive-thru to pick up your food. How awesome is that? Pizza drive-thru seems to be a big thing around here but it's a first for me! I have yet to try anything but their pizzas but I will in time. For now, when I have a pizza craving, I go to SP.

I have tried every Italian restaurant & pizza shop in area, this is my favorite for their Antipasto salads. Consistently delicious!

Staff is ridiculously friendly and attentive--basically treated me like a long-lost cousin who hadn't eaten in a week. We kicked things off with their fresh, house-baked ciabatta paired with an herb-loaded olive oil and butter combo. The bread was so good I almost forgot I had actual food coming. The play-by-play: Fresh Calamari: Crispy, tender, and served with a killer marinara. Absolutely incredible. Braised Beef Ravioli: You only get four on the plate, but these bad boys are built like linebacker kneepads. Homemade pasta, packed with savory beef, and drenched in a sweet marinara. Spaghetti alle Vongole: Homemade spaghetti tossed with fresh clams in a rich red sauce spiked with garlic, white wine, and fresh herbs. Fantastic flavor. The Pizza: Hey, for Pennsylvania? Pretty solid backup options if you're not going full pasta mode. The best part? All their pasta is made completely fresh in-house, and the portion sizes are strictly "feed a Roman army" certified. Who knew Pennsylvania Italian food could punch this far above its weight class? 10/10, would willingly accept the inevitable food coma again.

You would think a restaurant would bring the appetizers out first but no that's not what happened they brought the appetizers with the main meal. That was ridiculous and should never have happened. They were not busy whatsoever. Our waitress was also not very good, again no one in there at all that we saw. She seemed more annoyed with having to wait on us. Very disappointed. My sandwich was great. Calamari was just ok! Not horrible just ok. Boneless wings were not good at all, hard and lacked sauce. Cheese steak that my other half order was strange more like chopped burger than steak! Disappointing visit will be quite a while before we return!!!

We were in more of a dining room mood but we weren't asked for our opinion and were taken to a high 2-person table in what we assumed was the pizzeria. I have a temperamental back, so these chairs were not going to work for me, so we asked to be relocated to a nicer table. We were shown to another table right away. Both the dining room and pizzeria were nearly full, and hopping with energy! Our expectations were high! Any restaurant that serves Guinness beer on tap earns a bonus star from me! Unfortunately, the flavor was a little off and I get the impression that not too many customers drink the Guinness. It struck me as beer that was a little past its expiration date. Thankfully our food was very good. Everything had a distinctive and agreeable flavor. Even the bread and olive oil had us cutting extra slices. I ordered the quattro formatti pizza and added bacon. It was as unique and tasty as it sounds. If you look closely at the picture you'll see that someone took a bite before I had a chance to photograph it. But apart from that, notice all the different colors and textures, which made for a nice, lively pizza. In the other photo you can see the chicken parmigiana, which they agreed to substitute Alfredo sauce instead of marinara. That was a delicious dish as well! We ended up way too full for dessert!! It's too bad because there were lots of interesting options to choose from. If we ever find ourselves in Mount Joy again we'll surely consider coming here again. The only thing that left a bad taste was the old-tasting beer.
