I discovered this truck at the Dream Fest event at American Dream Mall, but I didn't get a chance to try their food until yesterday when I went to the Dominican Republic festival in perth amboy. I ordered La Capital, which normally has Longanzina (pork sausage), steak, fried cheese, avocado, and sweat plantain. I'm not a fan of avocado, so I had that taken out. It tasted delicious, and I loved the mayo ketchup it came with. The only thing is the steak was a little chewy in my opinion, and i wish I had a little more fried cheese, but the festival had an insane amount of person, so I understand that probably played a role. Nonetheless, they were really nice, and it was only a 10 minute wait for my food, which is pretty good considering how many people were ordering. You can pay cash, card, or via cash app. They also have the reader where you can use Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and Google Pay. I look forward to trying them again in the future.

Daisy's Taste of Cuba is a family run food truck serving up traditional Cuban platters, sandwiches,…read moresnacks, and empanadas located in the Garwood area. The portions are fairly large and a good value for the price. The Cubano is no exaggeration of a mammoth of a sandwich here. My photo is only of half of it. The service is a tad on the slow side, but it's a good sign as it only means everything is fresh and made to order. The owners are extremely friendly and you could tell through interactions that they truly care about the customer experience as well as the quality of their product. As this is a food truck and therefore a mobile restaurant, the schedule, location, and menu can be found on their Facebook page.

The steak sandwich was delicious, exact flavors I expected and packed perfectly. The ham croquettes side dish caught my eye so I figured I'd give those a shot. $2 and they were so well made and fried perfectly, not burnt at all and the filing was delicious. The food would be 5 stars here, I only rated a 3 because the guy who took my order was short with me and was not friendly at all. I was the only one there too. It's a shame because the food was so good. Didn't have the best greeting but then as I was waiting for the food, posting up pictures of the truck and menu to Yelp it seems I couldn't hear him from the table on the other side of the truck so another customer told me my order was done. As I was coming up he was making a comment to the other customer about how he only has a cellphone for the business for that reason. Rude. Dude, I was on my phone posting up pictures for YOUR business! Definitely didn't like that.
