The salon is in a convenient retail center on Crow Cayon Place in San Ramon, and very convenient to reach within 5 minutes of San Ramon City Center at Bishop Ranch. The salon is professional, spacious and well laid out with the convenience of a customer coffee bar for your fix while waiting for or obtaining services. I highly recommend Rey Cardenas. He is a star professional- a skilled, creative, and knowledgeable stylist who does awesome work. Rey exhibits the traits you want from a stylist: observant, good listener, creative, skilled, professional, trusted and most importantly produces great results. Highly recommended! read more

It was my first time getting my hair done in a salon and I definitely came to the right place! Lynn helped me with my hair. She did an amazing job in bringing my hair back to life! I suffered from a lot of dryness and split ends and also have 'fine' hair. But now I am happy with how my hair is and I've been getting compliments on it since walking out of the salon. I had jet black virgin hair and I came in wanting to go lighter and Lynn suggested I get babylights which i was totally okay with and it turned out even better than I expected! Worst haircut of my life. This looked nothing like my reference photo and I started crying after. I got layers and she cut my hair way too short, and the hair became way thinner at the bottom so it looked like an octopus (big at top and small at bottom). The haircut was pretty expensive too and I feel like I could have done better just cutting the hair straight through. Right now I look like a guy and am embarrassed to even go outside. read more

My go-to guy Joel's place is the first station on the right. He would be, by far, the only stylist who can do miracles on my hair. Going to his corner is like going on a mini vacation, a mini splurge worth saving for and you savor the results endlessly until it's time to see him again. I don't write a ton of bad reviews, let alone for a place I have never gotten service at, but I am pretty irritated right now. I tried to book with Angel last month before I went on a trip out of state for 3 weeks. I rebooked my first appointment when I realized right away I scheduled on top of another appointment I had already made elsewhere that day. Angel messaged me the day before my appointment to let me know she had to cancel and asked that I rebook after my trip. I just got back from my trip and made another appointment online. Now I get an email telling me they are no longer honoring the groupon that I have. I told her I am extremely disappointed, as I tried to book before but she had to rebook me due to her cancellation. Her response was that it's out of her hands, which is a little confusing since last month she told me that nobody else works at this salon and she's the only person there, so I am assuming it's hers. She said, "people were taking advantage of the groupon." I have no clue how people do that. I mean, you put a groupon out there and people using it are not taking advantage of anything. If anything, *I* feel taken advantage of. It's very difficult to trade up a certificate like this. It's pretty dirty business when owners put out a groupon, rake all the bank in, and then tell people, "sorry, we won't honor the coupon we sold you. Too bad so sad." and then run with all the cash from the bulk groupon sales. I'm just incredibly irritated. When I got cancelled on last month I had to last minute go run around to find somebody to do my nails before I left for my trip the next morning. I went to 3 different salons (first in Fremont, then down in Milpitas) and they all had an hour plus wait for a walk in, and I finally had to settle for the great mall. 5 hours later and a pedicure I hated, I was still willing to try and rebook with Angel to use up this certificate. This is incredibly disappointing. read more

First, let me say I hope all is well during these current times and conditions. I am a current Salons by JC tenant who definitely did his due diligence on where I would like to open up my business by visiting the other salon suite franchises in the Bay Area. I was confident when I made the choice over a year ago and just as if not more confident that I made the right decision. Ms. Pat is the reason that I decided to open up shop in pacific commons and the reason I will continue to conduct business after the stay at home orders cease in stage 3. Ms. Pat has been an advocate for myself and everyone in the suites, especially during these times. I know it was a team effort between and Ms. Pat and Salons by JC to make sure that while we are not being able to work since March 14th, that our lease payments were postponed. Did she have to advocate for us to corporate? No, she did not. Constantly, keeping us tenants informed is not part of her job description but she does it by choice because she cares and understands the life of an independent business owner. She has my full support and since Salons by JC is an extension of Ms Pat's hospitality and professional demeanor they have my support as well. I called and asked if walk-ins were welcome and I was told they were for haircuts. The lady that answered weirdly gave me another number to call and said it was the number of a person that was available to cut my hair the same day I called . The person who's number I was given never picked up after 3 tries calling them . Later on I went over to the salon and a lady was at the door and I explained to her that I was told I could walk in and the number never picked up etc.. She told me to call again and made me stand outside of the salon and that walk ins were not welcome which I was told they were . Once again I called the salon AND the number I was given WHILE STANDING OUTSIDE . Neither answered . The lady who I spoke to in person at the salon was rude . I wouldn't come here again .
