Thank you yelp, the 5 star reviews are genuine-- service, price, and cleanliness are all top notch at Style Studio. If you've followed my reviews long enough you'll know that I'm horrible at maintaining myself. Yesterday i was feeling spontaneous and in between errands I decided I had to get my haircut right then. I pulled up yelp and the nearest 5 star to me was Style Studio. I thought to myself, "I'm going to walk in and if they can't take me then it wasn't meant to be". I walked in an Hanh was bright, happy and welcoming. She listened to what i wanted and asked questions as she was cutting to make sure she didn't take more off than i wanted (my hair was down to my butt and I told her that I wanted layers but keep it as long as possible but take out the dead ends). This was the quickest, best result haircut I've ever had. Conversation was easy to make... so easy that I ended up getting a gel manicure there too!! The woman doing my manicure was so sweet. We didn't talk much because she seemed pretty focused and i didn't want to distract her. She was so thorough with cleaning the station and my hands. I think my nails took longer than my haircut but I'm not complaining. The hand/forearm massage and hot towel were so comforting. I felt sooooo pampered. The ladies had me all beautified in a bit under an hour and a half. Important to mention: this salon is a family style salon which is open to everyone. It is a very warm atmosphere which is often missed at more modern salons that offer the wine or have a more "fancy" kind of look. I really felt at ease here, like i didn't have to dress up before coming... obviously lol. Love the people, love the salon. If I get better at maintaining myself I will totally be a regular here. Oh! Price is VERY good! read more

Updating my review, as the very sweet manager of the salon called and clarified the misunderstanding that she got busy and preferred speaking on the call than messaging that is so sweet and personable and very humbly apologized to me and also said she will refund me the money. How many people own up and invite you back to the salon after the awkwardness of a Yelp review and feedback, example of great and the best customer service I have seen. Claps. I am so happy the air is clear and so are my eyebrows (mistakes happen :) admitting to that and moving on takes courage, for that i respect the manager) and I can go back here for my nails and hair. Love these women, they make me feel super special and pampered. The best place for nails, hair cut and facial spa and massages. read more

It's been a little over a year now since I've been coming here and I have to say that this place has consistently stayed amazing. Unfortunately, they had a change in the nail lady but she is equally great if not better. There is also another person upfront doing hair so there's definitely more people coming in and out. Which is a good thing for them. What I do have to say is that you really have to make an appointment to get work done in a timely manner. If you walk-in you might have to wait a bit. But just like any place of service, appointments work the best!! Pedicures have become a monthly routine for me and I love getting them here as well. When it's my time for a hair cut and pedicure, I always say, "Can I get the double??" Newark/Fremont folks, come one come all, and get your hair done right. read more

Hanh is an absolutely lovely and amazing human being. She's very energetic, listens to her clients, and genuinely loves helping people out. My brother and boyfriend were the first to see her in my family and have continuously gone to her throughout the year. Recently my mother, sister-in-law, and I saw her for either haircuts or coloring. She's super quick with cutting hair (and very skilled!) and we've been thoroughly impressed with each session of coloring she's done. FYI this place does not do fills, and hangs up on you. So ladies of Fremont if you need a fill you can Frick off ‍

This was my first time here - got my hair colored. The location was convenient for me and the reviews were good, so I figured I'd give them a try. The lady (she was the only one in the salon when I walked in) was super nice and friendly and accommodating. I was tired and yawning a lot, so she offered me coffee - and then later made me a 2nd cup too, while I was waiting for the dye to set in. My hair looks great, but I was most impressed by the quality of service =) I'd recommend this place. read more

I put off getting a haircut for months because I was new to the area and wasn't sure where to go. I called ahead and got lucky to get an opening within the hour. Nancy was very professional. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she asked very informed clarification questions. She showed me what she was a about to do before we made any cuts. The whole process was quick and easy, and when I didn't quite like what I got (even though it was exactly what I'd asked for) Nancy made helpful suggestions to help get me the better cut. Best of all the haircut cost way less than where I used to go. Definitely recommend! read more

I'm so glad that Style Studio Salon is open again due to being closed for a few months because of COVID. I called Hanh and she answered, letting me know that I could come in that afternoon but will text me because she had another appointment. We kept in touch through text and when I arrived, I was the only one at the salon. There was hand sanitizer for me to use before I signed in and I felt comfortable the whole time I was getting my hair trim. This is my third time visiting Hanh and she remembered me. Hanh is very sweet and kept checking with me if the length was ok before cutting. If you plan on going, make sure you call ahead of time and bring cash! read more

I went in for a lip wax. I just so happened to see this place driving by and stopped in. Waited a few minutes for the lady to finish a hair cut to attend to me. Not trippin. I'm a walk-in. When she takes me back to the waxing area, she pats the seat/bed thing. She leaves for a minute and I sit on the bed. It's pretty cramped. She pours the wax on. No problem. The wax itself was fine...BUT! She spilled wax on my shirt and says it's because I wasn't laying down. She didn't give me any direction except tapping on the little bed. She wasn't mean or rude, but it also was not my fault. She assured me it'll come out by pouring this oil all over the spot. She also assured me it wouldn't stain. False. After washing my shirt the wax and the oil both stained. And I wasn't offered a discount or anything. read more

Due to COVID, they only take appointment only. This place took extra precautions... need to wear a mask, sanitize hands, sign in to get your contact info and take your temperature. My mom and I have been coming to Van and Mai. They both pay attention to detail. Sweet as ever and do a FABULOUS job. All the staff are amazing and friendly. Giv'em 6 stars. Hanh/Nancy the whole family is genuine at this family salon. They smile and cheerful even at 738pm when they are suppose to be home already but waited for you because you got stuck in traffic. I've been with these ladies since 2013 and never change. Hahn and her staff is amazing; great and lovely also very funny and helpful. They offered different times for me to choose when to come in for my cut and color also offered me different colors in case I didn't just want a plain black. They gave me coffee and tea also juice. Hahn is an amazing hair stylist and if you trust her she will not let you down. I have been looking for a hairstylist like her that does not overstep boundaries; and let's you take a risk with her and she loves to have fun and laugh and crack some jokes. Where did Nancy Nguyen from the Newark Super Cuts go? Found her! Actually, she found me, but most importantly, she is still in the area providing great cuts, colors and more. This salon is excellent! They do hair, nails, waxing, you name it! It is really a one stop shop. I called ahead and booked an appointment (though you don't need to) on a Saturday a few weeks ago and got a manicure, pedicure , and eyebrow wax. The woman (Annie) who did my nails really took her time and made my nails look perfect! I am very particular about the design and shape of my nails, and she did excellent work. She was very patient as I changed my mind on colors and explained my vision for each nail. I also thoroughly enjoyed the long leg massage (which a lot of places speed through!). She also showed me a menu of the products that they use, because I kept mentioning how nice everything smelled and felt on my skin. I don't remember the name of the product, but their entire line is VERY nice quality and organic. You can purchase any of the products they use in the salon before you leave. The eyebrow waxing was also done very well. It was quick and painless and the shape was exactly what I asked for. I am always hesitant when trying a new place for eyebrow waxing since it impacts your face! Again, she did a great job and put on a nice cooling lotion/gel afterward that smelled like a tropical vacation. It was a great experience all around and the owner Hanh is super sweet! I will definitely be making this my new go to! read more
