I was blessed to meet Mrs Michelle Shaw from Sola Salon Studios at Riverchase Village, suite 33. The first thing you notice when walking in Michelle's salon is the bright lighting and the friendly atmosphere that makes you feel warm and welcomed. The suite is clean and well organized. There's no stray dust or hair any in the salon. I hadn't had a relaxer in 7 months due to an awful experience I had with another salon I mentioned in a prior review. Michelle isn't trying to take your money with expensive services you don't want. She gave me a consult prior to beginning my service to find out my hair history and hair goals. She specializes in a vast variety of services. I usually burn during a relaxer but since she talked to me about my past experiences. I was expecting to burn but surprisingly after 7 months I had a pleasant experience. Michelle is all about healthy hair. She educates her clients on what their specific needs are and tailors the service around it. I received both a hair and scalp treatment and my scalp was thrilled with tingling/soothing product used on my scalp. To add, my hair is softer and silkier after the hair treatment in years! Another positive feature in Michelle's suite is the styling chair serves as the sink chair as well so no bouncing from seat to seat. There's not a lot of loud people or kids running around the shop so this is truly a getaway with no inappropriate behavior. The prices are reasonable depending on your services but as I'm finding out I can't pay enough money to keep and protect my hair and edges. I would absolutely refer Michelle to anyone looking for a good beautician with a heart of gold and a humble spirit.

This school actually used to be a movie theater decades ago they've done a really good job turning into a beauty school. I want to say it's been around maybe at least 15 years if not more. When I walked in, I was greeted with a smiling receptionist asking my name and then getting me to fill some stuff out while I waited. I visited the bathroom and got me some water. They also offer tea I believe. If you're going to get a facial, they usually give you a robe and slippers, but since it was just brow lamination, we didn't get any of that. They did bring us to a waiting area that was dark and had peaceful and relaxing music on. While I was sitting there, a young blonde came in and said my name and I said that was me and she led me down the hallway into a room with a massage table I laid on. She did do a patch test first to make sure I wouldn't be allergic to the ingredients to get my lamination done. After the past test was over, she began her magic. She told me she will be graduating in June. I am going to try to make an appointment to get a facial before she graduates. She was very personable and professional The one thing I find weird is you cannot add a tip when you're checking out you have to either give them cash or cash app or Venmo I was able to give her cash. The receptionist called her back upfront. And they do have a teacher come check out before and after your service. I will definitely be back here sooner than later I love that there is plenty of parking here.

I happened to stop by the shop because I had gone to Smartstyles, but they don't open til 10. I went to Salone 150, and they tried to help with a product that they sprayed on, but it wasn't working. Eric used Motions conditioner and patiently combed the tangles out and made her hair beautiful and smooth!!! She didn't even wince one time, yet she is very tender-headed-which is the reason it hadn't been combed in three days. Christopher flat ironed my hair and made it straight, straight, straight and bouncy. YET I HAVE NO PERM!!. I think they're great and the prices were SO great!!. Many of my friends have gone to Christopher for hair color and they are all caucasian women. Yet they do all hair types there for a fair price. LOVE THEM!!!
