I want to start by acknowledging that the technician who did my nails was extremely talented -- this was truly one of the best French tip applications I've had in a while. Unfortunately, the experience itself left me feeling very uncomfortable and disrespected. The session began with a technician who didn't speak English, and another more senior technician stepped in to translate. While I tried to describe the nail shape I wanted, there was a clear communication barrier, and the first technician left. From there, the senior technician's tone and demeanor became noticeably frustrated and impatient with me. I've always been a polite and easygoing customer, so being spoken to in such a belittling and condescending way was really disappointing. When I misunderstood a nail shape term, the way it was corrected felt unnecessarily harsh. I could also tell that I was being discussed in another language, which only added to how uneasy I felt. At one point, the technician even asked if I wanted to leave -- which shocked me because I had never said or implied that. That moment completely ruined the relaxing experience I had hoped for, and I ended up skipping my pedicure and leaving early. This is the first time I've ever left a salon without tipping -- not because of poor work, but because of how I was made to feel. Her talent is undeniable, but professionalism and respect matter just as much. I wanted to start a relationship of reoccurring spa services with your establishment but don't really feel welcomed and I believe my character was misjudged- as if to expect more hostility from me which goes against what I've always stood for- common decency and respect for everyone I encounter. I hope the salon can address this so that future clients can enjoy both great service and a kind, welcoming atmosphere. read more

I came to Salon Vo to get my and my daughter's haircuts. The salon was quiet, I was greeted very quickly, even though we were early, our stylist was ready for us. I am very happy with how our hair turned out. Our stylist listened closely to our concerns and was very detailed and took her time to make sure it was right. They had many openings and were able to take my daughter and I for a same day appointment. It was a very busy salon, but there was a good vibe and great interaction between the staff there. The girls who did my nails did a good job, however, it was not clearly communicated to me how much would be paying. When I made the appointment, I was told that an acrylic fill would be $31. I had gone in with a few nails that need to be completely redone, so I expected to pay a little more than what I was quoted. The woman who did my nails then removed the rest of the acrylic from the rest of my nails and gave me a full set. I didn't ask for this but let her continue. She then suggested that I get a highlight nail in a contrasting color. Again, not a problem. Usually not an extra charge cuz it's just a color, no artwork. By the time it was said and done, I paid for a full new set of acrylic, removal of all the old acrylic and then was charged for the 'artwork' on a contrasting nail. I ended up paying 2x what I had been quoted on the phone. The salon was great. My clinician was personable and easy to talk to. However, my recommendation is be really clear before the appointment what the charges actually are. read more

This salon is a hit and miss. Had a $70 pedicure, yes $70 . Overbooked, rushed through the pedi. This photo was taken after I walked into my home, you be the judge . Ghastly!!! Tomorrow I need to find someone that will do it correctly the first time! Well, gave this Salon another chance. Casiy did a fantastic job one my pedi, she is very thorough. As always I had the dipping powder done on my nails, she is learning and they turned out ok BUT, when I went to pay, I was totally shocked. I had a regular pedi with gel and dipping powder on nails. $78 . That's a huge jump from the usual price of $65-$68. Lisa had assured me via text that this would be on the house as to make up for my last horrible pedi experience. Sorry, this to expensive for my blood. Maybe prices jumped due to the snowbirds coming in, I don't know but I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

We called at the last minute, coming from out of town with a small bridal party, and they were so quick to accommodate and make sure the bride had a stress free experience. Wendy in particular was so patient I really appreciated it. The salon was clean and stylish, and their nail techs were kind and knowledgeable. I have had many a mani/pedi in my day in NY & Fort Lauderdale, Florida. None like at this establishment in Inverness, Florida. The staff is professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. They are educated in all areas of cosmetology. They are up to date on all CDC and county guidelines to prevent the spread of covid19. They put into practice all safety precautions. Their customers safety and positive experience during these challenging times is their top priority. I always request Dustin. He is the best and that is not an exaggeration. I decided to treat myself to a birthday pedicure and visit Salon Vo for the first time today. I've always gone to Ocala for my nails, and decided to try someplace closer to home in Inverness. I had my roots touched up by Leon and it was a great experience. I am extremely picky about my hair. I faithfully have my roots done every three weeks and foils 4x a year. I have used the same colorist for 19 years but have been in Florida the past two months helping my father. I was nervous to get the touch up but Leon was meticulous in getting a close match to my existing color and was very thorough in touching up roots. I will return again in three weeks before returning to NH. I also found him to be very pleasant. Overall a great experience and I highly recommend him. read more

I went for a pedicure because I had a back issue and couldn't do it myself. Two weeks later when I removed the polish, my toe was purple. Enter Covid19 and everything closed down. I finally got an appointment with my Dr. She told me I had a fungus. It has been a horrible and uncomfortable experience. It is now several weeks later and I am still dealing with the fungus. My nail now seems to be coming off and it is pretty ugly. read more
