I can not believe the level of unprofessionalism from the new owner Leann, I called for my stylist (Aracelli)and she kept trying to convince me she had no idea where she was. She then practically begged me to come to her., not realizing I have been offended by this woman from day one, her own clients can't get a word in edge wise, and all she talks about is her, her boyfriend, her maid and how much money she has. I couldn't believe how unprofessional this place was to me. I booked an appointment because I have had a few ladies in the valley recommend this hair salon to me. I made an appointment over 2 weeks ago. I show up and there is only the owner or receptionist at the desk eating food. She acts surprised that someone even came in and when I tell her I'm here for my appointment she says to give her "15 minutes and I'll call you when I am ready". I wasn't happy with this but I waited in my car. I even waited for 25 minutes! No call back, so I just left. And I still haven't heard anything from this place. I absolutely love this place. Not only is everyone extremely nice, professional, skilled, compassionate and knowledgeable.... They have the best products. It's really easy to get to and convenient next to Whole Foods. Also, Leann is absolutely fabulous! I trust them for hair, color, waxing, facials... That's all I've done so far but I am sure there are loads of customers that would attest to any/all of their services. It's worth noting that the Salon is extremely clean, this organization follows all guidelines and takes every precaution to reduce the risk of COVID-19. read more

Took the plunge and tried a new stylist. After waiting over 45 minutes (with an appointment) they were finally ready. The stylist didn't even ask what I wanted and I had to ask what she was off to mix up. 4 hours later, my hair was darker than when I started and the whole point was to get highlights. She kept saying I'm so busy yet I was her only client with a prescheduled appointment. Also, all stylists have their preferences, but there's no need to rip on every single method your previous person has used. Especially when they did a better job! I'm super unimpressed and will not be spending another $200+ for a poor experience and weak highlight. read more

I got a haircut here about a month ago. It was $70, I tipped him well because when my hair was in a blowout I didn't realize how bad it was. I really regret going, he chopped a lot of my hair off and it was really really bad, completely uneven, I had to get more hair cut off (somewhere else) to fix it. I'm still growing it back right now. I can't speak to what their color services are like but this was the worst haircut of my life, from a "high end" salon. Never ever ever again. I've been a client at Salon Terra since I moved to the Valley five years ago from the NYC-area. Sondra is the best. She's very talented and incredibly attuned to what her clients want -- trust me, I know!, because she's made both of my hard-to-please teen-aged daughters over-the-moon happy with their hair, highlights, haircuts, etc. You can't go wrong here - great service, great location, great products, fantastic color and cuts! read more

Came to salon for a gel/shellac mani & pedi. Their instruments- nail files, clippers, etc- did not seem to be new or appear to have been in an autoclave. The massage chair was nice but the foot bath did not have an insert in it. It just didn't feel as though it is a very clean salon. The young woman who did my nails was very nice however my cuticles on my nails have the gel/shellac all over them and my toenails don't look very good at all. Very pleased! I went for a haircut the other day and was graced with the presence of a sexy stylist named Crystal. She was so friendly and very knowledgeable in helping me choose the perfect style. Not mention a great hair stylist! She payed great attention to detail and took no shortcuts. I was referred to her by a friend of mine who won't let anyone else touch her hair. Now I can see why. I will be going back for every haircut. Salon Terra had great products and even better atmosphere. 6/5 stars! read more

Stay away from this place ! This placed destroyed my daughters hair. Don't say you weren't warned. Sarah should lose her license. Completely incompetent ! Representing AVEDA very poorly. The manager is the only saving grace of this place. Large orange cat stripes when I very clearly asked for a light extremely natural looking 10 volume weave. By the way I'm a licensed hair dresser ! Called to make an appointment, this seemed to be a challenging task for whomever answered the phone. Finally made the appointment for 3:30pm. I received a call later that day after I had confirmed the appointment. The girl said "ummmm" the stylist Sara is doing a coloring job and can no longer fit you in. There was also no one else available that day to do a cut. This place seems to have difficulty getting a good receptionist. read more

I have had my haircut here a few times. I always get a good cut, it is the customer service and making an appointment that always seem to be an issue. Just like one of the other male reviewers it seems as if the process to schedule is always a challenge at this salon. They also have a sign out front that states walk-ins are welcome. They are not!! I have tried on several occasions to just walk in only to be told that they cannot accommodate me until hours later or even the next day. Bad way to advertise your salon and services. I called earlier this week to book an appointment for a blow-out and style on Saturday. I was very clear that I was from out of town and coming in for a wedding that afternoon. As I'm not from the area I wasn't sure where to go. Turns out this was not the place. The Salon called me on Friday to clarify the services I wanted. I had to call them back 2 hours later and the young gal I spoke with assured me that I was booked properly and the stylist could do a blow-out. Just showed up 10 minutes early for my appointment and was told the gal I was booked with didn't do those. What?!? Technically I don't have an appointment but I have an important event in 2 hours. Saundra is AMAZING!!! I went to get highlights and a cut and I am so happy with the results. My roots had grown out so bad that my hair was almost two different colors. Saundra was a miracle worker with blending my hair so it looked natural. Another bonus is that she is an esthetician, I'm just bumbled I can't stay in Aspen long enough to get a facial too. She was fun to talk to, and she listened to both me and my mother who was helping with the decision making. (#Motherdaughtertime) The salon was also had a good feel and good energy! This salon is known as Salon terrible for a reason. Went in for a ombré and came out with a complete mess. The stylist had no idea what she was doing. I specifically asked for someone who has lots of experience doing ombres. Avoid this place they will destroy your hair. read more

I love this salon! I take my two girls there for a lovely salon experience, but at a price that is reasonable for a child's haircut. They are always nice to us and accommodating. My youngest has had all of her haircuts with Salon Terra and she has felt like such a big, special girl. The salon has also been generous to our children's preschool fundraiser, something I greatly appreciate. read more

When I moved to the area I had driven past Salon Terra a few times and figured I'd give it a try. I have been going to Sondra for 3 years now and have never looked back. She has always gone above and beyond and I always leave feeling pretty and pampered. Ive also been taking my daughter here after a bad experience somewhere else. Since moving to this area 2 years ago, I have been to several stylists and had yet to find anyone who could cut & highlight my hair how I like it. I admit I'm pretty picky! So, recently I made an appointment with Michelle & she is amazing!!! My hair is tricky to color & cut correctly but she took the time to listen & look at the picture i brought in of the style I wanted. She gave me one of the best, cutest haircuts I've had in a long time and highlights in the prettiest shade of blonde. Also, I was runnning late from having to work late & she had no problem waiting for me & was very upbeat throughout my appointment. I have definitely found a keeper. Yay!! read more
