I've lived all over and always travel back to this one place! I moved to this area a year ago and planned on going home this summer to get my hair done by my usual stylist that I've known for almost 15 years as I've always done but thanks to corona I needed a new plan. After researching several salons in the area I came across Salon Amoré and reached out online to get more information. They were super responsive and after a few messages back and forth they booked me for an appointment the next day! When I came in to meet Raquel she was super sweet, friendly, and easy to talk to! It was like I already knew her! Since no one has touched my hair in years aside from one person I had my head set on just getting a trim because I'm picky and I was so nervous, but after talking to her a bit I decided to let her take her vision and give me some layers and angles and try something new. I'm so glad I did! She did an amazing job and I'm so obsessed with how my hair came out I can't stop staring at it!!! I think I'll keep it this way for a while now! The Salon itself is gorgeous as well! The interior is so classy and they have a cute little shop up front for accessories and even some clothes! They also offer a huge variety of services so I'm definitely going to have to try more out there as time goes on! It'll be nice to have a one stop shop for all my beauty needs! I cannot wait to go back I think I've finally found another stylist that's allowed to cut my hair! Which is a huge deal for me! Unfortunately, she had to answer to phone for the salon or stop what she was doing to sweep up hair from other stylists on the floor when they were done - even when she had me as a client in her chair! I was paying the same amount as any other client there, FYI and there was other staff that could have answered the phone or swept up their own client's hair. It was ... weird and disrespectful to her and me. Back in May when my neck was *bent over backwards in the bowl* while the foils/highlight was being washed out of my hair, she left me there for at least 5 minutes to schedule appointments for other stylists! Yes, other staff was there and my neck was killing me. There were always other people there to answer the phone - they just made her do it. Yesterday, she sat me in the chair and we were about to start, but she had to stop and wash the hair of *two* clients for the owner. After 20 minutes, I finally walked out, realizing that while they might not value her, I value the money I am spending there! I understand small business, but I was paying the normal rate like everyone else, yet I was treated with a lack of respect because I had the "young" stylist. Just be warned when you make an appointment here to get the owner, not a new person. By the way, their prices aren't any better than other salons so I moved to another salon THAT VALUES EVERY CLIENT and their young stylists. That means something to me.

She spent a significant amount of time walking me through my options while also confidently sharing her vision for what would work best with my hair. My hair is very thick, curly, and honestly not the easiest to work with. I usually just throw it up in a bun, but Alexa took the time to teach me about my hair's texture, how to style it, and which products would actually work for me. I never felt rushed, and she made sure I understood every step of the process. I've never had a stylist be this thorough or invested in helping me care for my hair beyond the appointment. The results were amazing, but what stood out even more was the education and care she provided.
