UNETHICAL & UNLAWFUL transaction! on March 27th I had a scheduled appt with Jamie at Salon Blonde PH. I didn't show up. Keep in mind, I was never verbally informed of a cancellation policy nor did I sign one. I was in about a month ago to buy product and the SAVED my card information. That being said, they illegally charged my account $250 . I called them 3 times and have received no response. This was an unlawful transaction. read more

My naturally blonde daughter had some highlights done, good enough, expensive yes, but done well. I too have had highlights done, mine were ok - almost too blonde. Then my daughter went in for a tone, and came out a brunette. It's always awkward when hair isn't up to a customer's expectations and it was my teenagers first experience with this. Always great experience and kind staff. recently had my hair done by Danielle, she was great took her time and my hair, shoulder length with layers was just what I wanted. my only disappointment was I didn't know that having waves with the iron was $15 extra. It would have been nice to be yd that upfront, i would have done that at home if I knew. That wasn't worth $15 . now I'll ask if there are add ons on the future. read more

Pushing products and extra services are routine practice here. I'm not a hairdresser but using a razor to cut fine hair seemed to make my hair appear dry. Allowing them to suggest not one but two treatments. When I returned for highlights , I pointed out issues with the cut, I went from a well grown out shag type cut and ended up with a strange bob with long sections and no shape. When they don't post or even tell you pricing but write it down you know you're getting scammed. Look elsewhere, same exact services MUCH less expensive! read more

Salon Blond is fabulous! My parents and I have been going to Chelsea and Victoria for several years--starting at their first location called Salon Island Estates. With Chelsea I've done cuts, colors, glosses, keratins, and several other treatments. From bangs to blowouts, she wows me each visit. She is so warm and welcoming that it feels like we're chatting like long lost friends each time I sit in her chair. While most times we get lost in conversation, she also asks if I'm feeling like talking or relaxing, which is so considerate! Chelsea asks questions about home hair routines to give advice about how different cuts will change maintenance, and even shows different tips and tricks to do at home to keep your hair looking like you just left the salon. Andrea at the front desk is also a gem. She explains timing, costs, and treatments at booking so there are no surprises when you come in. She has also gotten me into appointments from wait lists, which I've never experienced at another salon! (Usually a wait list means it won't happen--not here.) My hair turned out beautiful and have had many compliments. I went and got a regular haircut and asked that I get some curtain bangs. I wanted to switch things up a little bit from my normal boring hairstyle. My hairstylist was extremely nice however you could tell she was new. At the end of the haircut, I noticed that my bangs were extremely short and uneven, and I pointed this out to her and she did her best to fix it. However, it wasn't fixed, so I called and asked for someone else to assist me... if I wanted someone else to fix it i would have to pay for a whole new haircut, cause I "wasn't giving the original stylist a chance to fix the issue" I'm sorry that's just bad business. Why would I go back to a stylist that I wasn't happy with? read more

I called and told them that I wanted someone who was an experienced cutting specialist. Well William was excellent. He has trained at one of the worlds leading salons. If you need a precision cut like an inverted Bob or stacking or anything that is more difficult he is your guy. He also took care of my roots but so many compliments on my haircut so far. read more

I had a wonderful experience here. I called around 10am asking for any avail that day. The receptionist was very helpful and scheduled me for a 1:15 appointment for my haircut. Already super happy. Chelsea was amazing. She really duplicated what I wanted done with my hair and went above and beyond my expectations. Best haircut I've had in a long time. I have thick hair that isn't straight and isn't curly - I wanted volume and a cut that would make it easier to hold whatever curls I do have with styling products. I absolutely love this salon! I recently moved to Dunedin and needed a local salon and decided to try Salon Blond. I booked an appointment with Michelle for a single process and a trim. The salon is cozy and modern and very inviting. There is plenty of parking and it's super close to where I live, so those were all initial wins right away. Michelle is great! She listened to everything I told her and really went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and that we were both on the same page. She is also very nice and personable. I loved the results, as my hair looked amazing! I was worried about leaving my old stylist due to distance but Michelle definitely put my mind at ease. The entire staff is friendly and attentive too. Salon Blond is awesome. I am a regular customer. Throughout the years, I have periodically had my hair cut and styled, colored (one color), highlighted, low-lighted, treated for dryness, treated for sun damage, obtained Keratin treatments, and treated for "frizziness" in the summer, etc. I've been going primarily to Victoria, but sometimes Chelsea too (both are great). I don't know of any dissatisfaction with any stylist there. Salon Blond is professional, transparent in its fee schedule, and conveniently located in lovely downtown Dunedin. If you can't park directly in front, you can use the free public parking ramp on the corner. To the delight of its regular customers, the salon remained open during Covid-19 by following applicable health, social distancing, masking, and hygiene guidelines. To the best of my knowledge, no customer contracted Covid while at the salon during the the pandemic, which is a testament to the salon's sound health-related practices and its emphasis on customer and staff well-being. My compliments and gratitude to Victoria for her great management skills and expertise -- and artistry. Advance appointments are recommended. read more
