Loren has done my hair twice since moving back to Dunedin. I just couldn't be happier. She really listens and repeats back to me many times what her plan is, what we are doing, and whether that sounds like what I want. Only been twice but she has not disappointed me at all. She is going on MAT leave, so I'm a little nervous about who is going to be replacing me, but I think if she's got Loren's formula to work off from, we will be fine. Great little 5-6 chair salon in the heart of downtown Dunedin. Great lighting and decor and most of all the best stylist ever, Mary! Mary gave me the confidence I needed to take the next step and to add color to my hair. I was so nervous but Mary assured me it would look good, be safe for my hair and only have to be redone 4 times a year. Her soft spoken reassurance made me take the leap and I am so happy I did! What a difference she made! You can see the before and after in the pictures I've posted, I let like a new woman and trust her completely with my hair. Worst hair cut of my entire life by Camille. I asked for a straight across cut with no layers and some thinning. It looked so terrible I had her "frame" my face and these are the end results. Would not recommend to anyone. It's not even close to being even anywhere on my head. read more

Wish I could give this salon a 5 star rating as it seems like it has a good thing going! Great ambiance and the staff seems very friendly. The reason for the lower rating is I went in for a haircut and since my hair was pretty freshly washed and straight the stylist offered to just do a dry cut on it. I wish I would have just asked for a normal wash and style either way as it was almost the same price. I was charged for a wet cut which is 40 dollars (mind you my hair was not washed at the salon). I was in and out the door in 15 minutes. 40 dollars with tip on top seems pretty steep for a quick dry trim and 15 minutes of time. read more

A similar experience, my wife followed "Nicole" to GW and has been there ever since. She regularly gets an extensive color and cut! I did a walk in recently and Nicole did my easy buzz cut. I recently moved to Dunedin from Miami and was looking for a great place to get a haircut. I had been going to the same guy in Miami for over 20 years so I was kind of nervous about someone new- my hair is not easy to cut - its thinning and not the greatest hair. I tried a place in Clearwater and was not happy. We go out often on Main Street so I decided to try Salon GW. I 'm glad I did. Mary is the best. She does a great job on my hair and provides fantastic service and attitude. The whole Salon is top notch !!! The owners Gregory and Walter are wonderful people who only employ the best in the business. I have had my hair cut and colored all over the world at top notch salons in different places I have lived and visited. Most recently I have patronized TriBeCa color salon in Ybor in Tampa, and salon GW is far superior and less expensive. If you come here you will absolutely not regret it. Very disappointed with this salon. The stylist talked me out of every change (cut) I wanted. She was very nice but as soon as someone else walked in my cut was finished. Not one person (work or family) even noticed I had hair cut. I was overcharged from what was quoted as well. Just felt like I was squeezed into a busy day. I personally felt I was overcharged for barely a trim. She made me feel like I wasn't worth her time. :( read more

I had a blow out appointment on 3/17 (St. Patrick's Day) with Omar. His client before me was late because of the road closures in downtown Dunedin. Omar welcomed me as I entered the store and kept me informed on when he would be done with the other client. He also offered my a drink as I waited. When it was my turn, Omar did an AMAZING job with my hair. My blow out looked GREAT - all my friends who waited for me at Casa Tina complimented on it! Having natural black hair, it's incredibly hard to find someone who knows how to properly do my hair. After years of frustration and bad haircuts, I finally found Mia. The salon itself is welcoming but Mia is warm and friendly. She did an in-depth consultation and was very knowledgeable about what products to use and how to style my hair. She did a fantastic job with my hair and it was overall a great experience. It's about a 45 minute drive to get there but she's totally worth it! read more
