I wouldn't usually start off this harshly, but I would give zero stars if I could. I would like to start by saying that I had hair to the mid-point of my shoulder blades, and it took me three years to grow and train. I requested a men's haircut to the base of my neck to get it into a more manageable length while keeping the ability to style myself and texture. That's not what happened. My stylist's first cut was at the base of my skull, no confirmation on length or idea, just cut, which should have been a red flag. I proceeded to get a haircut that lobbed off, three years of growing in the matter of 30 minutes. By the end, my hair was uneven, unblended, and overall a mess. What's worse is that she left a clear 1 inch of hair not blended or even tied into (pictured). By the time I got home, I had realized how bad the cut was. I was at the acceptance stage of grief of a bad haircut and thought about dealing with it, but then I saw how poor the cut was and that I couldn't do anything with it. I cannot in good conscience recommend any guy with long hair going here.

His salon is intimate, cozy, and all around gave me the sense of well being, healthier and much more sustainable (we share the same values) than other salons. If you practice mindfulness, you'll absolutely love this place. Dusty gives you the attention you won't get at a corporate salon. There's street parking in the neighborhood street and a cute patio outside before you enter the salon. He takes the time to get to know your wants and needs and he can translate that beautifully when he loves your hair up. When I reached out on Yelp, he responded quickly and made sure to make the booking experience a good one and answered all of my concerns with dying my hair. I said I didn't feel I should need to pay for something I was unsatisfied with. I then contacted the owner to express my experience with her company, who called me and said things like "you have hardly any eyebrows to begin with, so what she did looked good" "I thought you had great coverage" "the eyelashes look fine" not once ever mentioning what an awful experience I had with the girl and not to mention the fact that she THEN said it was all my fault cause I moved. Oh sorry that it took you over two months to send me a contract from when I paid my deposit for your services, in which time I moved. I paid 200.00 for the worst experience of my life. When I told her I wanted a refund her response was "for services we provided?" I said, the preview is 150, I paid your company 312.00 her response "well 150 for the preview, 50 for the travel and I guess 100 was a deposit" I asked her to send me something in writing. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PERSON EVER. After I left this same review on several of her social media posts, she blocked me...only before she responded immaturely and told me I would NOT be receiving a refund. Don't be salty girl.
