Service has been acceptable and consistent and we like not having to drive too far for haircuts. We brought our daughters in for back to school haircuts this year and had a terrible experience. Instead of charging the child haircut price for our 8 and 10 year old children, they overcharged us by $25 and did not say a word about it. After we got home, we noticed that the receipt was for much more than we expected. We texted the stylist to politely ask if there was a mistake made. There was not, she intentionally charged a higher price without telling us. She became very defensive and told us that our kids have "Too much hair". Our family is not white and our children have an average amount of hair for their ethnicity, but yes, more hair than the average white child. She also told us that she doesn't usually cut childrens' hair. Why did she accept the appointment then? The haircuts were not even good and absolutely not worth the price we paid. The entire interaction left us feeling awful. This salon has lost 6 customers as a result of this experience.

His salon is intimate, cozy, and all around gave me the sense of well being, healthier and much more sustainable (we share the same values) than other salons. If you practice mindfulness, you'll absolutely love this place. Dusty gives you the attention you won't get at a corporate salon. There's street parking in the neighborhood street and a cute patio outside before you enter the salon. He takes the time to get to know your wants and needs and he can translate that beautifully when he loves your hair up. When I reached out on Yelp, he responded quickly and made sure to make the booking experience a good one and answered all of my concerns with dying my hair. I said I didn't feel I should need to pay for something I was unsatisfied with. I then contacted the owner to express my experience with her company, who called me and said things like "you have hardly any eyebrows to begin with, so what she did looked good" "I thought you had great coverage" "the eyelashes look fine" not once ever mentioning what an awful experience I had with the girl and not to mention the fact that she THEN said it was all my fault cause I moved. Oh sorry that it took you over two months to send me a contract from when I paid my deposit for your services, in which time I moved. I paid 200.00 for the worst experience of my life. When I told her I wanted a refund her response was "for services we provided?" I said, the preview is 150, I paid your company 312.00 her response "well 150 for the preview, 50 for the travel and I guess 100 was a deposit" I asked her to send me something in writing. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PERSON EVER. After I left this same review on several of her social media posts, she blocked me...only before she responded immaturely and told me I would NOT be receiving a refund. Don't be salty girl.
