Just had my hair highlighted today by D'Ann, and I love it!! It's so hard for me to find someone to get the color right on my hair and she did an amazing job. Which isn't terribly easy, as my natural color is almost completely white and I have a ton of hair, but she soldiered on and did exactly what I was wanting. From the first call to make the appointment, it was nothing but a great experience. The owner, Michelle, took my call and was so accomodating and sweet and even mentioned that there was a special if I wanted a free haircut with my coloring. I didn't need a cut, as I just had one six weeks ago, but I thought it was great that she offered after I'd already booked my appointment. I can't say enough good things about Michelle at Salon Platinum. First, she's a total professional--I didn't really know what I wanted, and I came out with this gorgeous, natural looking hair that makes me happy every time I look in the mirror. I was so impressed with her understanding of what would work best for me and the execution of her idea. But I think the thing that I was most struck by was what a delightful experience it was just to spend a couple of hours with Michelle. I have had the worst time with my hair. The cut an color after going once had to be the worst experience ever. I never was shown the back of my hair till I got home. The colorist was very rough with my hair esp around my face. The hair wash got my clothes wet. I asked for a certain hair style and it wasn't close to what I wanted. Simple request. Whatever she put in my hair made it unbearable to brush out. So I had knots in it till I could wash it. I felt very uncomfortable by the pressure for a large tip.. as I was rushed out quickly after due to another customer booked close to my time. I guess they are only open 2 days a week? I do not recommend this hair place to people that are not willing to pay the high price for something they don't know what they will end up. The experience isn't worth the Mark up on the prices. Especially the overpriced product that is pressured on you by both Hairdressers that use that salon. I'm cluster phobic and the space is rather small. I was not able to use the bathroom due to its use as storage room. :( My hair is still growing back from the damage and still breaking off. I had to cut it almost to a bob. :( read more

If I can give negative stars to Salon Platinum I would feel more relieved. However, I am only limited to share with you my bad experience with this salon which name's should never be platinum. After finding an add about "free haircut with highlights for first time clients" I called the salon to set an appointment. Let's forget that after leaving a message nobody called me and I had to call again until I could speak with a person. During the whole conversation nobody told me that the add is wrong, but when I arrived for my appointment I was told that the add is wrong and it only works with a service. If you can not spell out what you want to offer to your clients you do not deserve to be in business. read more

Just like Hang N. review. Never got my appointment. Tried on their website two day ago and she called yesterday morning and left a message. I called immediately back because I just didn't get to my phone before that last ring. Got a voicemail, I left a message and never heard back. I recieved a text this morning that WAS FOR ANOTHER CLIENT of theirs and it was to cancel an appointment for another client who was coming in. She is probably an amazing hairdresser if she is double booking. But this is obviously an issue that some organization needs to take place for appointment setting. She called immediately back, which I will definitely give her credit but hearing her laughing while she is apologizing doesn't seem professional. I explained my concerns and won't be making an appointment with her. Which is when I think she realize I wasn't as humored by it as she was. I would hate to find out later that trying to make an appointment will be an ongoing struggle. Especially if there was something extremely important happening. (Like the first time you have an extremely important face to face meeting with the man who owns the company you work and their CEO & VP) Sometimes first impression is the only impression you get.
