First time at the salon this week and will be going back. Erica cut my son's very challenging thick hair, and while he is very rarely happy with hair, he came out so pleased. The salon was a bit outdated as were the salon policies. They apparently only allow 30 minutes for hair cut, blow dry is extra, and ZERO HAIR PRODUCT.... seemed a bit bizarre that customers walk out with wet hair and are unable to see their new cut with dry hair...... also, I have very thick hair and apparently this salon DOES NOT thin hair.... very odd. my stylist seemed a bit inexperienced, but nice. It wasn't a very relaxing or enjoyable time, I felt very rushed through the whole process. read more

I found this salon after a few years of trying other places, and this is now the only place I'll go for my hair needs! Thao is the stylist I got scheduled with the first time I called for an appointment, and I've stuck with her because she's great! I usually just get a haircut, nothing fancy...long layers, and she does a great job! Prices are reasonable, and the quality is excellent! They are super dog friendly, and if you have a [well-behaved] furbaby, you are welcome to bring him or her along! Make sure you call first so that you confirm there is space for your pup. If you're not a dog-lover, don't worry! I've been coming her for about 3 years and I've never seen a pup inside. It might just be the regulars who come during the weekday mornings who bring their furry companions in. Summary: -I love this salon and Thao always does a great job! -The prices are reasonable ($45 for wash, cut, and blow dry), especially considering Royal Oak is only 5 min away and they charge a ton there! -Thao rules! read more

Just what you want in a salon! Lovely staff, professional stylists, upscale decor. I have always been 100% happy at Salon Oggi, every time. Which should speak volumes since April C of Salon Oggi has been doing my hair (cuts, high/low lights) for 20+ years. Salon is very clean. Tea/Coffee available. Went in for a cut ( I am a guy) and styling. Usually I get clipper cuts from the chain around the corner. Debbie cut my hair with scissors only and my cut looked fantastic. Got lots of compliments afterwards and am now a regular. Paying more than "chain name" but I think I am worth it. Place is very nice and clean. Everyone was warm and friendly. Not sure why someone would give them one star. Weird. My wife liked my cut and went in as well. Got a real nice color job and came back with long hair. She got extensions and I loved it. I hired Salon Oggi to do hair and make-up for my wedding, for both me and my bridesmaids. They did a wonderful job! I have gotten many compliments on my hair and make-up, and they were very easy to work with. I also had a hair and make-up trial about a month before the wedding for my engagement picture shoot. They were very accommodating; I was able to come in on a Sunday when they are not usually open. For the wedding, they had 2 hair stylists and a make-up artist come to our hotel. All in all, my bridesmaids and I were very happy with their service! read more

I went to Salon Oggi for the first time today. Wow, what a lovely salon! It is updated, beautiful, spacious and friendly. I had the absolute very best facial today with Lisa North. It was so relaxing and felt great. I wish i could afford to have a facial with her every week, but I have to wait month. She also did a fantastic job on my brows. Then Vicki did my nails; which were a mess when I came in and she managed to transform my dried out cuticles and stubby nails to look so pretty. I left there with a big smile and will definitely be back. I would highly recommend this full service salon to anyone. read more

this is a cute salon. the staff is friendly. but, the product they use, sucks to a very serious level. i went there for root touch up and toning all over hair color. I came back home noticing my hair being extremely dry and fuzzy. my root and my hair color from previous salon visit still don't match. i can see a clear line. for a 100 dollars, i look like i have done my color at home by myself, my nicely maintenanced long shiny hair is burnt. ouch. such a shame. it's a good looking salon. they don't know how to do color read more

I was hoping that I had found a good salon to regularly go to. I went in to get my hair cut and I even upgraded to a color. I was NOT IMPRESSED!!! My hair came did not come out as discussed with the stylist. With the coupon I had they said I owed $200(for a cut and color)!!!! After a SEVEN HOUR SESSION with crappy results the last thing I wanted to do was figure out why I was being charged an arm for something I didn't want. read more

I had very high hopes trying this salon and I ended up very dis-appointed with the results. Stylist did not listen to what I wanted, probably because she did not look at my hair dry in the chair first. The barely there pre-consultation took place at the shampoo bowl! The quick shampoo did not even wash my entire scalp. Fast cut, blow dry left me leaving the salon with wet hair in the back. Previous review said their price was $45???? First time there I paid $50 for the same services, then the second time I tried the price was $56! Plus, parking is awful, nothing on the street and the parking lots are usually full already, good luck parking your car. Also, place is Very noisy and loud the sound really carries in this place. Went here for the first time, had my hair cut by Debbie. One of the best cuts I've ever had, she is amazing. I have thick wavy/curly/frizzy hair. I wanted the bulk out, while maintaining length. Love this salon! I have nothing negative to say about this salon. The new location is very convenient and definitely superior to the previous one. The staff are always warm and friendly. The atmosphere is relaxing. The decor is very easy on the eyes. I have never left unsatisfied. Not sure why it has such a low customer review. Seems most of the other reviews are all in agreement with my opinion. I am low-maintenance in the beauty department and only treat myself to a simple trim and maybe a highlight every so often. Since I rarely ever know what I want I am EXTRA thankful that the staff are always able to create a look that complements my complexion and is super easy to maintain at home. I get complements from everyone, especially my sister who is a stylist at salon in the Bloomfield area. I definitely recommend this salon to anyone in the Clawson area, and have recommended it to people who were willing to commute from the Ann Arbor area who are also very satisfied with the services they received at this salon. read more

Well, I'm a guy, and I've found the place. I'm acquainted with the owner, and I've had another guy doing my hair for more than 20 years. I'm awfully loyal, and he's 20 minutes from my home, whereas Oggi is only 10 minutes away. So every couple of months I stray, and this is a very nice place to stray to. In addition to the atmosphere and nice folks, it's right in downtown Clawson. There are more than half a dozen places within walking distance to grab a bite or a beer before or after a cut. Highly recommended, and I'll be sure to bring to Debbie's attention the negative review about product. read more

Love it! Just went for the first time this morning, and in fact they opened early so that I could get everything I wanted accomplished. I was hoping to find a salon in the area that did lash tinting and Andrea was great. No annoying tint all over the place and no stinging. She cut and styled my hair, with an amazing blow out - perfect for the wedding I'm attending later today. All the stylist seemed very attentive to their clients and for 9am on a Saturday happy to be there. I'll be back! read more

The price is reasonable for the type of salon I expected it to be. After trying a different salon in Clawson and not liking it, I scheduled an appointment here. When I first walked in, I was impressed by the decor and the feel of it was right. Before my appointment, I filled out a card that asked me what products I use. This kind of peeved me because that is usually a conversation that should be had with the hair dresser, not written on a piece of paper. During the appointment, the hair dresser did not talk about my hair at all. I was not impressed with the shampoo they used when they washed my hair. It smelled like a basic baby shampoo. The hair cut was okay, but seemed to take an extensive amount of time. THEN, when the stylist finished cutting my hair, she asked if I wanted to pay extra for her to dry my hair.....I was extremely taken aback by this. Were they really going to send me out into the cold with wet hair if I didn't pay extra? In my opinion, drying the customer's hair should be included with the cut. I reluctantly agreed to pay the extra. When checking out, I was not able to just put the tip on my credit card. I had to tell the receptionist what I wanted to tip, then she took the money off my card and handed me cash to give to the stylist. It just seemed like an unnecessary step. The overall experience was not what I was expecting at all. Don't let the looks of the place fool you. The service doesn't measure up. read more
