I had frequented this salon for spa services for over 5 years. When I needed a new stylist I felt comfortable here. I was specific in my request no more than 1.5" off the length, keep my depth at the base - just some face framing highlights. I was close with my last stylist and she taught me a lot about services I received and to be clear about my requests:) 3 hours, over $200, and I ended with a poor quality partial, and 3" off my length. I was clear but kind stating I did not get what I asked for and I was told to call the following day to get scheduled for a correction aka more blonde around the face - face framing highlights. I did and I was given a date a month out. When I said that was unacceptable I was told the stylist was very busy. I said I too was very busy. I was specific with my requested service which I paid for, and spent a lot of time in the salon to get, and I did not get it. I was told they would speak with the stylist and call me back....that was more than a month ago. I will not return to this salon for any future service. The pictures speak for themselves. read more

They are very accommodating and make certain you are comfortable and get everything you need for beautiful nails. They have an extraordinary selection of colors and finishes to select from. They do a very thorough job and I am always happy with the results. They are a bit expensive but worth it. read more

I feel like Salon Nouveau's ability to properly handle customers has decreased, especially for new clients. I called three times to make an appointment - and all three times was on hold for over six minutes due to how busy they were. That's a sign of a good Salon, right? Incorrect. I finally was able to get through and booked my appointment for a perm. Two days later I received a phone call that went something like this: I can't come in Monday for my appointment because the lady at the front desk was new *and* the stylist was new - and actually wasn't taking clients. But - I also have to come in for an additional appointment to have my hair assessed before the perm. So let me get this straight. You want me to make another appointment, to have my hair looked at (but nothing done) so eventually you can provide me with the service that I ordinally wanted, but that you also cancelled? Here's the thing. They said they wanted to make sure the end result was what I wanted. A consultation isn't going to do that. Talking to the stylist during my appointment will. They didn't say this - but I know they also want to make sure my hair is healthy enough - again - your *stylist* during my appointment should be able to make that call. If it's not healthy? Maybe we do something else. Instead, they want me to come in for two appointments, (30 min each way for me) just in case my hair is or is not healthy, so in the end they don't lose a sale (I assume why else do something this silly?) My hair is fine and healthy - and I don't mind you looking at it. I do mind you wasting my time - again - and then not offering me a solution only saying "Well we want to make sure we get you what you want." No. You don't want to waste your time but you're ok with wasting my time. I have a special needs child and I don't have free time because you want to look at my hair or because your stylist doesn't have the ability to judge it during my appointment. Either way, I didn't have a stylist because apparently everyone is new. I'm frustrated. When I said the manger could call me back to make it right, I was told I could email her. No thank you. I don't need more time wasted. I honestly believe that when you grow too large as a company, your quality and ability to provided a positive experience decreases. Those who are already established clients are more likely to have a positive experience, but as of now, stay away if you're new. There are so many other options and if you're not respected here, why jump through the hoops? Fancy doesn't not always equal quality. Sometimes its a cover. #crossposted read more

Went for facial 90 minutes today. I was 6 minutes late at the time of checking. The aesthetician started after another 7 to 10 minutes, I was in the room. I was done including wake up and dressing time time in 60 minutes maximum. So if you want to count my time from the time my appt. , I was at the payment counter in 70 to 75 minutes. Even aesthetician agreed that it was totally 80 minute in salon for the payments of 90 minute facial. She was novice, spent minimum time for facial massage but over all, she was not bad or an average. Question , I have is that how can so called reputable salon can justify their action like above and reap off. Pay for 90 minutes for service of 60 minutes ??? read more

Best massage I've ever had. Ashley is an amazing massage therapist. She is especially good at deep tissue massage. I was dealing with a lot of neck strain from so many hours sitting in front of a computer, and after a couple sessions it's no longer an issue. She also helped alleviate a lot of knee pain. I recommend scheduling this for a time when you won't have to do a lot of activity afterwards because you'll float out of the building in a state of total relaxation. The only service I've had done at this salon is a shellac manicure, and also a spa pedicure, by Carly. She is fantastic. I'm super particular about my nails and I don't let anyone but Carly do them. I moved back to the area in May 2016 and tried other salons but they were not as meticulous as Carly. The shellac would fall off after a week. A co-worker recommended Carly, and I told her specifically what I wanted and my problematic nails. She has been amazing since day 1. My shellac lasts two weeks, my nails have never been stronger or longer. Carly is young but very knowledgable about products and nail health; and super nice! I was really disappointed today when I went into the Heritage Square salon to pick up a retail product, but was treated poorly. I was told that I could not just walk in the store and I should have known to call and do curbside pick up. I was the only customer there and instead of just informing me for next time, the lady behind the counter would not let me grab the item that I was a couple steps away from and pay for it. She made me go outside the building to then call her on the phone and wait for someone to bring the item outside. There was nothing posted on the door to the building that you had to use curbside for a retail product, only to call in if you had an appointment. I had a mask on and felt that policy was being placed over logic and customer experience in that moment. I also went online and did not see anything on the website with needing to call in to pick up a product. I just think this was overall bad customer service and I've never had an issue like this before but it was quite frustrating to be treated like that. I think we have gone too far when policy and/or fear have trumped logic and being courteous. read more

My son received a terrible haircut here. Horribly uneven (cut a bald spot) and shaved the sides and didn't even touch the long top that he had asked to be trimmed. I wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a masculine cut. The stylist told my son that the cut "didn't go as planned" and charged him less. However, she didn't even fix it before he left! Been going here for nearly 4 years for both the salon and the spa. Overall a reliable spot for any service! Reasonable prices for the area and never disappointed. Lindsay does my hair and really listens to what I would like. Love her! She has changed it up a few times and I always like what she does! Plus they have a "color bar" with comfy chairs and magazines to wait while your color processes. Always happy with my hair cuts and color! The spa is also a great treat for massages and facials. Tried making appointments several times , they're always booked out till several days later . Finally when I get a few days off work , staff suggested I would have to make two different appointments for a consultation and a hair treatment instead of having them both scheduled the same day . I gone here off and on for the last five or more years in hopes of finding a good stylist. Today, when I showed up for the appointment I had scheduled over the phone, two days before, they said that it had been cancelled. They didn't tell me and if I had cancelled it I would not have been there. No apologies from them. One time the stylist told me there was no such thing as a layered bob. She produced a picture of a blunt bob and said "see, this is a bob." I didn't get the cut I wanted. The last time the stylist gave me an requested shag. It's taken a year to grow it out to a normal length that could be cut into a decent style. Several times when I've called, they've left me on hold so long that I ended up making my appointment a different salon. I'm finally and totally giving up on this place. read more

brandy (brandi? im so sorry if im spelling it wrong!) arranged my hair for me the morning of my wedding. she was attentive to my description of the look i was hoping to achieve, and it showed -- it looked *exactly* how i envisioned it, both after the trial and on the day of the wedding. i also had my makeup done, and speaking as someone whose makeup regimen typically consists of a tinted moisturizer, some mascara (in the pre-lash-extension era :)), and some nude lip color, it was absolutely worth it to have a professional application for the wedding. i did not have a trial -- i just walked over to her once my hair was donesies and told her what i wanted (an enhanced natural look that would stay put as long as possible :)), and gave her my tinted moisturizer and lip color. she combined those with some of her cosmetics (i think primer was involved), and the result was exactly what i wanted. (incidentally, she achieved a hue with my (cheap + almost empty cover girl) lip color that i never thought possible with a simple layering technique. i ultimately wiped it off when i got home because, i know me, and i wouldve turned out like the joker in half of the wedding shots (because i am klutzy, and even the mere donning of makeup (to say nothing of its application) is rife with opportunity for embarrassing outcomes). but, man, was that a testament to what someone with real skill can do.) both my hair and makeup lasted the day! impressive .... on top of the great results, the process was also noteworthy for its speed. what awesome + sweet professionals! i woke up anxious and stressed, but this experience took my anxiety way down -- it really couldnt have been a better start to the day :) read more

I went here for an hour massage (stress-fix). The massage quality was subpar and the masseuse used way too much oil. In the end, I was soaked in masage oil and none of my knots were gone. If you have an hour to kill and want to relax, simply go for a walk. You will save your money and will be much more relaxed in the end. I gave 2 instead of 1 star, as my masseuse was a nice person. read more

I got my eyebrows done in the spa body waxing room and they were absolutely terrible. I grew my eyebrows out for so long so I could get them nicely shaped and the lady (a blonde, I didn't catch her name) literally made one of them a straight line. I'm never going there again. read more

My experiences have been hit and miss. Each time I have gone for blonde hair coloring. The first time, the inexperienced (she had to keep going to the manager for advice) stylist died my hair gray, but was able to correct it to blonde. The second time, I had a great experience with Brittany - she was a consummate professional and my hair came out perfect. The third time, the stylist dyed my hair brown and left the dye in so long (I sadly assumed she knew what she was doing when she left it in twice as long as previous times) that it was too damaged to be corrected. I now have to grow it out, have it cut and start all over. I will not mention the names of the bad stylists, but if after reading this you still want to give them a try, be sure to ask for Brittany specifically. read more

Extremely pleased with my first experience at the salon. I have been trying to find a stylist for a few years that I can build a relationship with. Unfortunately I have had stylists come and go. Either they quit their salon or just stop the profession altogether. Started to give me a complex. ;) I called for an appt. and was advised the salon was booked for a couple of days but a new stylist had an opening and she had completed their extensive training program. Tori S. was my hairstylist and did not give me the color/ style I was asking for. When she was finished it looked the my hair was already grown out and I needed to get it redone and the color had an orange feel to it!! I was so unhappy I had to go back the next day (which I felt so bad doing but I couldn't keep the color she gave me). When I went back you can tell she was annoyed with me by the way she treated me even though I apologized and expressed how I appreciated her doing this for me. She made me PAY to correct it and asked if I could walk out of there with wet hair because she didn't have time to dry me which I believe is incredibly rude especially if I'm paying for your mistake! Very disappointing experience. I recently relocated to the area and explained that I have very thick hair that's difficult to cut and that I was happy to pay a premium for a senior stylist. 'Uh huh' was the response I received. I arrived ten minutes early for my appointment assuming there would be a consultation. Instead I waited for fifteen minutes. The stylist was very, very young and fairly new to the industry. She began whacking away at my hair with very little discussion. The resulting hair cut was a disaster. She took out no weight (which is the first thing I asked for, even though it was clearly obvious that I needed it), only wet-cut it using lots of tension (the opposite of what I need), failed to thin my bangs at all (which resulted in my needing to pin them back within days), and added shorter layers that I neither needed nor wanted. The conversation was awkward. She seemed disinterested in developing a returning client. Under most circumstances I would return to a stylist who didn't meet my expectations giving him or her the opportunity to fix it. I had no confidence that this stylist had the skills nor the interest in doing that so I moved on. read more

Chelsea and Brandi took really great care of her and somehow managed to turn her hairstyle from disaster to totally cute! She said she felt special from the extra attention & care the ladies showed her. As my other daughter and I waited, we were treated to some yummy comforting tea.
