I was seriously impressed at how the stylist knew just how to trim and shape my hair to it's best advantage. It really looked nice. I haven't felt that way leaving a salon in a very long time. I walked in for a simple cut and she sat me in the chair and started chopping it off while it was dry. I asked her three times to stop and she wouldn't, telling me that she was just doing what I asked. There were actually holes in the back of my head and the sides were completely uneven and she "thinned it" which made it stick to my head. My daughter went back with me and tried to get my money back, but she said she didn't know how to operate the machine and I'd have to deal with my credit card company. There was no place for her to wash my hair because the sinks were filled with materials like old perm boxes, and I saw a mouse. Seriously, do not go you will regret it

It had been some time since I received a massage, so I was looking forward to this visit! There is a parking garage conveniently located next to the spa, so that was great. The staff at the entrance promptly greeted me and asked if it was my first time. The process of checking in and getting around was simplified by them taking the time to walk me where I needed to go rather than just telling me, which was appreciated. I was walked to the area where I changed into a robe and was subsequently accompanied to the massage area. Unfortunately for me, there were a lot of stairs, something that my knee and foot surgeries did not appreciate. It was a little awkward to sit in a small, public waiting area wearing a robe but it's a minor sacrifice. I had a massage with Audrey, who was very nice and professional. I appreciated that she took the time to ask me about my concern areas and my goals for the massage. The massage itself was good, though I unfairly compare massages to my former therapist who was exceptional. Audrey was very communicative and, even for someone who finds it difficult to relax, it was a good experience. Overall, The Sugar House Day Spa is worth a visit - it's also worth purchasing a gift card for someone. They will appreciate it! (NOTE: you can use the funds from the gift card to supplement a tip)

He has saved me on two occasions - my first appointment was to correct what another stylist did and the other was when my tapein extensions , which I had done at another location, literally melted to my head. He has never been anything less than professional, welcoming, fabulous and a joy to be around. After all these years, he feels like a friend who I get to ki-ki with while he makes me feel pretty. I wouldn't recommend anyone else.

Her mother used to come to work with some awesome hairstyles that I thought were her hair. it took her about 3 hours to complete. The tracks are glued to two stocking caps. The 2nd cap is so that the glue does not stick to your hair but she can also put a plastic cap underneath which will do the same thing. I used the old texture of the Bohyme Brazilian wave hair ( i ordered if off of ebay) which she straightened. I used black and brown hair and she alternated the tracks. She charged me $140. the only thing that I did not like was the back. I wanted it bobbed not tapered but I wasn't paying attention!

She does haircare, skincare, massages, and other health and beauty services. What is nice about Susanne is that she gives you personalized attention. You are not marched through an assembly line. She takes time and gets to know your individual needs. She also has a good eye for detail. She has a lot of experience with hair color and she works with both women and men. She does not over-schedule clients so when you go to her, you are her focus. She also has really cute dogs that she sometimes brings to the salon. Her work space is always light, airy and clean. I have gotten my hair done there, facials, massage, waxing and more over the years. Always very good! She has a lot of happy clients who are very loyal to her. A few days ago, I had an experience that obviously damaged my hair and she rushed me out with a promise to "trim it up" in a few days. When I contacted her to make an arrangement to go back and have her look at the damage and (somehow) fix it, she told me I was being disrespectful and that the damage was a result of my hair's texture. She then stated that our hair relationship should end and I was refunded $200. I paid $280 for the cut and color, by the way. I've lived in this area since 2008 and I'm always supportive of small businesses. It's sad that this type of situation occurred and that I'm now in a position to make others aware of such a negative experience. I left a review via Google Reviews and it was removed one day later. Hopefully, this one will stick around.
