The products and techniques the staff employs is phenomenal and they truly care about skincare maintenance in between appointments. There is paid street parking nearby but I recommend earlier appointments for more parking openings (the salon is located in Old Town Alexandria) $$

I have found one of the best in the business so far in Alexandria, VA. Natalia not only did a fantastic job to my face, we actually had a mini tutorial session after, where she explained that what I was eating had a lot to do with the break-out on my face. We eliminated things that were bad for me. She advised me to drink more water, which I haven't been doing. My face looks so much better after only one session. I made the appointment for my next facial right away! Thank you Natalia!

I am thrilled I found her and will never go anywhere else. My skin finally found a home! Thank you, Natalia : )

(The salon was originally founded by two women who worked at a salon together and wanted to start their own business,) All the employees are super sweet. I typically get eyebrow threading and eyelash tint done. This is the cheapest (highest quality eyelash tint) in the DMV area (Used to be $20, raised to $25.) The staff give good, honest advice. They advised me not to tint by eyebrows given their color and texture. The staff make all the clients feel beautiful. I've seen them boost confidence of a cancer patient who recently lost most of her hair. The place is wheelchair accessible. Parking is easy but I like to scooter here and leave my scooter in the shop. I'm also a fan of the loyalty program - 7 eyebrows visits and 8th free.

I had so much knots and pain in my shoulders, lower back and down my right leg due to too much driving. Kiley did her magic and melt so many knots away in one session that instantly, I was able to sleep and wake up feeling GREAT!! She's my go to girl for massage and I now see her twice a month or more when I'm in town! She knows exactly where to find the pain and work on it and at the roots of the problem. My pain has bothered me for years and I look forward to getting rid of it with Kiley's massage Thai technique where she's able to stretch me out in places I can't stretch myself! It leaves my skin so soft after, and no bad reaction, at least for me... and I have sensitive skin. Pretty good experience - a little on the fence…read more I was presented a gift card to the Sugar House Day Spa and Salon. It had been some time since I received a massage, so I was looking forward to this visit! There is a parking garage conveniently located next to the spa, so that was great. The staff at the entrance promptly greeted me and asked if it was my first time. The process of checking in and getting around was simplified by them taking the time to walk me where I needed to go rather than just telling me, which was appreciated. I was walked to the area where I changed into a robe and was subsequently accompanied to the massage area. Unfortunately for me, there were a lot of stairs, something that my knee and foot surgeries did not appreciate. It was a little awkward to sit in a small, public waiting area wearing a robe but it's a minor sacrifice. I had a massage with Audrey, who was very nice and professional. I appreciated that she took the time to ask me about my concern areas and my goals for the massage. The massage itself was good, though I unfairly compare massages to my former therapist who was exceptional. Audrey was very communicative and, even for someone who finds it difficult to relax, it was a good experience. Overall, The Sugar House Day Spa is worth a visit - it's also worth purchasing a gift card for someone. They will appreciate it! (NOTE: you can use the funds from the gift card to supplement a tip)

1 Star -- Absolutely Terrible Customer Service…read more I called Fountains Day Spa to schedule several treatments for my girlfriend's birthday weekend. I was looking forward to surprising her with a nice spa day and was prepared to spend several hundred dollars. Unfortunately, the way I was treated over the phone was unbelievable. The woman I spoke with was rude and abrupt almost from the beginning. She repeatedly reminded me about their 100% cancellation fee. I told her several times that I understood the policy and had absolutely no problem with it, but she just kept bringing it up. She then asked if we were new customers. I told her yes and mentioned the 15% new-client discount advertised on their website. I was literally reading the promotion directly from their website while speaking with her. It clearly explains that the discount applies to one full-priced service and cannot be combined with other offers. Nowhere on that page does it say the discount is only available Tuesday through Thursday. She told me that restriction was listed somewhere else on their website. When I questioned why it wasn't clearly stated with the advertised promotion, she acknowledged that their website needed to be corrected. I simply asked if they would honor what was advertised. She flat-out refused. What bothered me most wasn't even the discount. It was her attitude. She became increasingly rude, kept cutting me off, and acted like I was wasting her time just by asking questions. Then she snapped at me, basically asking, "Are you going to book it or not?" I remained polite and respectful throughout the entire conversation. I never raised my voice, never became disrespectful, and wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. When I finally told her I wasn't comfortable booking an appointment after being treated that way, she abruptly hung up on me. Seriously? That's how you treat someone calling to spend several hundred dollars at your business? I have no idea whether I was speaking with the owner, manager, or receptionist, but whoever it was should not be handling customers that way. I was simply trying to plan something special for my girlfriend's birthday. Instead, I got an unpleasant phone call with someone who seemed more concerned about cancellation fees and collecting money than providing decent customer service. I'm not reviewing their actual spa treatments because we never got that far. I'm reviewing how I was treated as a first-time customer trying to make a reservation. Businesses can have whatever policies they choose, but they should clearly communicate them and treat customers with respect. And if your own website has incorrect promotional information, don't take that frustration out on the customer asking about it. Fountains Day Spa didn't lose my business over a 15% discount. They lost it because of how I was treated. I certainly wouldn't recommend booking a special occasion here based on my experience. I'll gladly spend my money somewhere that actually appreciates its customers.
