    Full foil highlights

    Today was my first time at Salon Essentials and it was a stellar experience! The salon is HUGE with a full spa downstairs. Everything was very modern and clean. I got a full foil highlight and haircut done with Mandy and I am ecstatic about my look. Mandy was efficient, friendly, and very skilled. I already booked my next appointments!

    It has now been over 6 months since my most traumatic haircut and I'm just now feeling more comfortable to be able to speak up. I wish I could say I was being dramatic when I say traumatic but for something to induce tears everytime I caught a glimpse of my reflection, I don't think I'm exaggerating too bad. I came in asking for a shag and brought in enough inspo pics to explain what I liked and didn't. The stylist must've been newer because it was like she was having fun in my head and experimenting. It went to the extent of calling in another experienced stylist multiple times for help. I am a very non confrontational person and left without complaining and even tipped. It was when I got home and ran to as many stores were open to find hair supplies to fix/hide the mess on my head that I decided I needed to call them back. I call back the following business day and was greeted with lack of sympathy and refusal of a refund. They played me off like I was another irate client and when I came in to try to fix it there was no remorse or attempt to fix something that was already too far gone.

    I want to preface this with I have never left a review, good or bad. But, when you receive exceptional service you have to make it known. I scheduled an appointment for my mom to get her hair done and she struggles with salons due to a language barrier. But, she was seen by Jo at Salon Essentials and Jo was so kind and empathetic and my mom felt welcomed even though her first language isn't English. Jo deserves a raise or better hours or whatever you can offer her because people like her don't cross your path everyday. We will be coming back due to her kindness. I am so thankful my mom had such a great experience. Also the front receptionist gals are amazing. One of the receptionist (red hair) went down twice to the basement to get us products. I myself received a facial by Taylor and she was very kind and patient. She took the time to create a plan of care for me to regain confidence in my skin. Again, thank you so much to everyone who assisted my mom and I today.

    I got my hair done at Salon Essentials at the end of June, and it was the worst experience. I went in and showed the stylist a picture of the cut and style I wanted, and I was shocked at the end of the appointment by how different it was from that. However, when I got home, I discovered she had styled my hair in a way that hid the fact that my face-framing pieces had been fried completely off! I was horrified. She did not speak up or say that these pieces had fallen out. My hair had some previous color in it when I arrived and the stylist knew this, so she did two test strips. She told me that the color lifted perfectly fine and we could go ahead with the highlights. I paid for the extra conditioning treatment, but my hair is still extremely brittle and dry. I called the salon to speak to a manager and/or the owner, and when I asked for a refund she informed me that it was against their policy, but I could come in to get my hair redone. I did NOT want them to touch my hair again. She told me I could email the salon at their Gmail and send them the pictures to review, which I did, and said to call the following Monday to speak to the owner. On Monday, their staff lied to me saying the owner wasn't in the office (she was), but said she would call me back if I left my number. That never happened. My hair fried off. I did not get my money back. I have to live with her mistake for months if not a year now. This was a terrible experience. Please know that if they respond to this review--what I've said is true and I will not be coming in to get my hair "fixed." I have included pictures.

    My daughter and I had 60 minute massages this past Saturday May 4th. We are from California and we were visiting my son and decided at last minute to get massages. We were not disappointed. First off, I have a bit of experience with Massage Therapists as I am the VP of HR for a Health Club Company in Northern California. I recruit and hire Massage Therapists for our clubs. I am however, very ashamed to say I do not remember the names of male and female massage therapists that gave us our massages. But they were very professional and service oriented checking on level of pressure with both of us periodically. Everyone at the Salon was friendly. Scheduling was easy and available. The Salon seemed busy too. Overalls a very good experience! Thank you so very much for being so accommodating!

    I moved here from San Diego CA and was in dyer need for a hair cut. I googled this place and they had amazing reviews and let me tell you this place is AMAZING! My stylist was the fantastic AUBREY who saved my curls. I'm very nervous going to salons because I have curly hair and not many stylist can handle my curls. This place was so beautiful inside, the outside might not seem like it but inside is perfect. I even scheduled a spa day for the next weekend! Hope this post helps another curly Hair in need.

    John is a nail art genius. He can do any design you want. I sent him a picture of gecko art ahead of my appointment and he actually practiced it beforehand. When I told him about how other salons had wrecked my nails he took special care to help build back their integrity and gave me a free acrilic to fix one of them. I also got free beverages and good conversation while watching his genius unfold. 5 out of 5 stars.

    $35 for a basic pedicure means they paint your toenails. I'll never go back. Less than 20 minutes including drying time

You'll learn to plan in advance because her styling last she's an incredible colorist but I don't color my hair I went to her for blow out s& she learned my texture & I can sleep in it, shower with it & sweat with it. If you dry shampoo & got 2 be glue spray it down it will last. She is also incredibly kind & accommodating I will miss her terribly. Everyone there is great also Tieler ! she is a work horse & will not let you leave her chair until you are thirst trap ready. This salon is so inclusive & buzzing with talent. She brushed all of my curls out after washing causing breakage I could see when I left. Proceeded to go to a different salon a week later and they confirmed the breakage, and commented that my hair was not even on any of the cutting. Also to mention, they don't care about the time you book, I sat for 45 minutes after my booked appointment before I even went to the chair. Overall horrible experience and I will not be coming back
