What a very pleasant surprise treat!!! I purchased the group on for the keratin treatment, as I usually only ever get this done to "treat" myself. I am so glad I decided to try Salon DeMarzano. The shoppe is a gem:) Decorated so pretty, and you are made to feel totally comfortable from the door ....Literally:) Dawn was so welcoming, and I can tell you that I will be back!!! She did a fantastic job, and I love my hair!!! It looks fantastic and feels great. As I was leaving, and many many laughs...I felt like I had had a girls night out. Thank you to the client before me for providing some entertainment ..... And I was even given a Christmas Gift!! WOW!!!!!! Highly recommend!!!! Thank you Dawn!!!! read more

I've been going to Dawn for over five years. She is an experienced, excellent hair dresser with a large menu of options at very affordable prices! She creates a community in her self-run salon, similar to that of a barber shop, and her salon is really well located, just down the street from Bloomfield farmers market/next to White Whale bookstore. I use a high lift because I don't use bleach and I'm always satisfied. She recommends treatments that are best for your specific hair type and she'll deliver specific requests very well! read more

Dawn did an amazing job, beautiful salon and Dawnis a pleasure to work with! I definitely will be coming back! read more

Salon DeMarzano - Loved my Keratin treatment, Dawn did an amazing job!! - Hair Salons Near Me - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Dawn is a genius with my crazy curls! Spending time at the shop is like hanging out with a friend. Great service at reasonable prices!

Chic salon, attentive stylist and very good results for me. Dawn showed that she is highly experienced in her profession and is truly concerned for her client's satisfaction and comfort. I received beautiful highlights and just a slight change in hairstyle at Dawn's recommendation and I love both. Great salon in a cool neighborhood, check out Salon DeMarzano! read more

I have and will continue going back for the Brazilian blowout. It makes my curls so much more manageable and less frizzy!

I love this salon, my experience was amazing from the start, I called on Wednesday and left a lengthy voicemail that I was coming home from NC for Easter, in desperate need of a Brazilian Blowout, Dawn called me back the next day scheduled a appointment for Good Friday, gave me tips on the best way to care for my hair, it's been exactly 1 month and my hair still looks amazing!!! I definitely recommend this salon read more

I was tipped off to Dawn by a gal I met at happy hour. What a lucky encounter. My head was a perfect storm of dryness, a bad cut and lingering effects of Covid self-coloring. Dawn gave me a great cut, amazing Keratin and a game plan for future gorgeousness, "if you decide to come back". Hell , yes, I am coming back! Forever! Dawn is also super friendly and fun, a true Pittsburgher. There is a Starbucks across the street so you can bring a latte easily. Her years of experience and meticulous standards are evident. Thanks, Dawn! read more

I have to give a credit to Dawn, the owner. She said that she didn't have the right toner right away and that was an honest way to handle the si read more

I was introduced to Salon DeMarzano through a Groupon for 2 color full highlights. My hair is dark black and I had gotten highlights at another Pittsburgh salon a few months prior, which ended up very blonde and looked pretty awful, almost like my head was covered in white hairs. I asked her for an auburn color to cover up the blonde. Since my hair is so dark, I ended up using all the dye on one color instead of 2. They had a huge color selection and unlike other places they weren't charging extra for anything other than generic caramel. It turned out awesome! I was serviced by the salon owner (I'm sorry I can't remember your name), which was unexpected because I was a groupon customer, and she really took pride in what she did. Don't go in expecting a lavish boutique with free wine or anything like that, but do expect great staff and a good result. I will definitely be back for future highlights! read more

So, I got the groupon for this place thinking, whats the worst that could happen. To my surprise, I loved it!!! There were little puppies that greeted me at the door. My highlights look fab. SHE GAVE ME COOKIES!!! AND, she let me get another groupon deal for next time!!! Going back in October. Will update, but I bet it's still great! read more

Used the groupon and she did a great job of straightening my very kinky hair into something manageable, plus an offer to come back for my next keratin at the same price. My only issue was parking which may or may not have been illegal. read more

I've been getting highlights for over 20 years and this was the top 3 worst results I've ever gotten. My hair is the most hideous orange, brassy color I've ever seen. I explained multiple times that I did not want orange hair. Normally highlights, cut and style take at least 2 hours. I was there a little short of an hour. It felt rushed. Its been 4 days of using heavy amounts of toner and it still looks horrific. Now I'm out the money for my hair, tons of toner and however much it's going to cost to fix this mess. You've been warned... read more

Extremely hard to schedule, limited hours, then switch your appointment last minute. Texted me 2 hours before my appointment and changed it without calling to verify if I could come in 2 days later. read more

I am writing this in the hopes that things change and that others can be aware. I purchased a Groupon for this salon but I could not get a hold of anyone for an appointment. I literally called 10 times over the past week. I wanted to get my hair cut and colored before I started a new job and when I finally got a hold of Don she gave me a time I had to check on and called her back 10 minutes later to tell her I could do that time but she didn't pick up or call me back. When I reached them again she said she called me back and we were playing phone tag. She called me one time. I told her this and she unapologetically told me they schedule a week out. They need a better appointment system, call back their potential clients and not say they called me multiple times when they didn't. I canceled my Groupon and did not get my hair done there. read more

great great great experience! after a hair color mess up at another studio the man who works there (robert?) fixed it up completely and gave me a free haircut! so nice! great service, decent prices. casual and friendly. it's great. going back for sure! read more

Dawn is a kind person, but very rough. I have fine hair and during my keratin treatment she was pulling like crazy while brushing, blowdrying, and straightening. After yesterday's treatment, I see significant breakage from what happened. It even was painful. After other keratin treatments, my hair has felt very healthy and soft, but after this one, my hair feels rough and broken. read more

I also got a groupon for a color, cut and style for $80 (worth it for just the color alone). I have very coarse, curly hair and have never gotten color on it before. I am glad Dawn was the one who helped me pick my color and make the best decisions in terms of minimizing damage to my already dry, damaged hair. I also got a brazilian blowout too which was very reasonable even with the extra ounce I had to buy since I have so much hair. Will definitely be going back- love it! read more

I was very excited for my keratin appointment that I made 3 weeks earlier (because they could not see me any sooner). Three weeks go by and finally my appointment time came! When I scheduled 8am Saturday was the only time they had to give me. I was not thrilled at the time and had to get a babysitter for my 3 kids but I thought it would be well worth it. When I arrived, the owner said that they were going "paperless" so she was having trouble with computers and appointments being accurate. After some searching on the computer, my name and info. did not come up. She kept saying "you are not in the system" She admitted that it was probably her fault but she said that she would have to reschedule me or I could stay for 4 hours while she worked on me in between her other customers. She had no room for me (even though the sign on the front said "walk in's welcome). Needless to say, I was very disappointed. It took me a 1/2 hour to get there and I had to pay a sitter and got NOTHING in return. The owner said there was nothing she could do other than reschedule me. She kept saying "what to do you want me to do?" Not once did she apologize. The attitude of the owner was defensive and negative. I was made to feel like I was the problem and it was not even my fault! I did not feel very welcome nor did I feel like an effort was made to resolve the situation. I was out extra money for the sitter I had gotten. Overall this salon left a very bad taste in my mouth and I will NOT recommend this salon to any of my friends based on the treatment I received. When I left, she slammed the door shut. read more
