I enjoyed the friendly attentive staff and Ashley's professionism and cuts (obviously as I returned several times). Hearing that Ashley had transfered to Bee Cave/Lakeway I went ahead and made an appointment there yesterday (Wednesday April 30 at 10am). I was told Ashley had upped her price by $10 in an advanced email prior to my appointment. The email also stated that any NO SHOW of my appointment would result in a 50% charge on my credit card on file. The total drive from my home to Wild Orchid was over 45 minutes. Upon arriving a few minutes before my appointment time, I was greeted by at least 3 people offering me something to drink, which was greatly appreciated for the customer service. But after waiting for nearly 10 minutes for Ashley to show, I left because Ashley didn't call, text or notify anyone anything about her NO SHOW. And still today, I have yet to hear of any apology or excuse as to why she didn't show or call. Not a word from management either. I should expect a 50% refund from my last appointment. Neither was I offered a included hair wash with any of my previous appointments that I was unaware it came with the cost of the cut. I thought I'd found the one stylist I could depend on to do my hair the way I wanted and was willing to travel over an hour and 15 minutes round trip to get. But I will NOT be going back to Ashley nor Wild Orchid for anything UNLESS they make this right. So far, I've heard nothing.

I reached out directly to the salon and the owner to address this respectfully and provide clarity, hoping for a professional response. Despite multiple attempts, I received no reply. Ignoring a concern involving client privacy and misinformation shows a lack of accountability and professionalism. Clients should be able to trust that personal matters and conversations connected to a salon visit remain private and are not repeated or acted on without verification. That trust was broken here, and the complete lack of follow-up made the experience even more disappointing.

Immediately on the phone they helped me figure what the best thing to do was, the front desk girl- Danielle (I think that's her name) went and talked to Dye to see what she could do and they didn't even hesitate to get me in to fix it. Not only did Dye the hairstylist get me in extremely last minute, but she did an amazing job on my really complicated hair situation. She ended up doing 3 rows of extensions, and she listened to my price point and listened to what I wanted to do, and also did check ins with me to make sure I liked it. I've never had a better experience with a hair salon/ hair stylist. Extremely welcoming and such a calm and friendly environment. I left the salon feeling more confident than I ever have, and it's been a while. I didn't think anyone would be able to fix how thin and frail my hair was but she did it better than I ever expected.
