I have now lost half of my length that I spent 10 years growing out and I am beyond devastated. This same hairdresser now claims that this is in fact what I asked for and that she actually tried to tell me not to go shorter. Absolutely disgusting service. Upon calling for a refund, I was treated rudely, told that I was lucky that my reference picture was not followed and that the way my hair was cut was in fact what I asked for. I was even told that the way it was cut was a "conservative" decision. My hair should have been cut HOW I ASKED NOT WHAT YOU THOUGHT WAS IN MY "BEST INTEREST". I was offered half a refund if I took my reviews down. Alongside this, my before photos all apparently aren't accurate by their standards and the difference between before and after is in fact 2 inches..I would rather everyone know how bad of an experience I had than get my money back. I had an angular lob that had grown out, so all I wanted was a trim in order to even out the ends and bring the length up to touch my shoulders. I told Carol that I had existing layers, but I didn't want the layers to go too high on my head because I wear my hair naturally curly. I even showed her a picture of what I wanted. I ended up with a mullet with one side longer than the other. Carol kept saying my thick hair needed to be thinned out, so she created 2 inch layers that encircled my entire head. I cannot even side part my hair because the layers are so short and they stick straight up when I try to do that. I would think that creating short layers makes thick, curly hair appear thicker, so I don't know why she did that. I went back and had it fixed by Kathy, who was absolutely wonderful. I do not recommend Carol for curly or thick hair. She just graduated from hair school and needs more training. I feel she should have declined to cut my hair if she didn't know how to cut curly hair.
