I went in wanting to replicate the sun-kissed strawberry blonde with copper undertones that I got here last year. The consultation felt super rushed, but she acted like she totally remembered and had it handled, so I trusted her and didn't think I needed to pull out a reference photo. When she was done, she gave me a sleek blowout that looked great in the salon chair and completely hid the actual color placement. Once I washed it at home and saw it air-dried in normal indoor lighting, it was a totally different story. The color is way darker and redder than my natural base shade, and there's a heavy, solid block of copper right at the top & one side of my head with no blending. Four days later, I messaged her with an inspiration picture to politely figure out a fix. Her response was honestly pretty rude and defensive. She told me she had "0 recollection" of my hair from last year, and instead of offering to brighten it back up to what I actually paid for, she basically said it would cost me another full fee for a brand-new partial color. She did offer a quick root smudge at the sink, but putting a dark gloss over an already muddy, dark base would have just made it look worse. When I reached out to the salon owner to ask for a partial refund so I could go get this fixed somewhere else, she completely washed her hands of it. She said the stylists are just independent contractors and she's basically just their landlord, so the salon takes zero responsibility for their work or client payments. If you are going to charge premium luxury prices, you should provide a proper consultation and some basic professional accountability when a mistake like this happens. I am now stuck with a botched hair color. I definitely won't be back.

I called Jacque two weeks before my wedding telling her I was torn, she recommended another trail. She squeezed me in and I am so grateful she did, because the Love is Blind hair is what I ended up going with and I couldn't have been happier with it. The last thing I will say about the trial is that people tend to struggle with a foundation color for me because of my freckles, but not Jacque. She got it right on the first try! 3. The wedding day was flawless. Jacque brought two other stylists to help her and everything ran like clockwork and everyone look gorgeous! Not only that, but she made me a custom lipstick of the big day. A color made just for me! She also had lipsticks my wedding party could purchase day of. I've been a bridesmaid 10 times, and the lipstick is the first part of the makeup to go with out any options to reapply unless you bring your own (which I never remembered). This is just one example of how she goes above and beyond. If you are looking for someone to do your wedding hair and makeup or just a new hair stylist in general, look no more. He was fabulous. She wanted the front sides pink with highlights and a dark wash on the bottom/back, not ombre. He did exactly that. She was (and still is) thrilled. Of course knowing the pink would fade, the style was done so well. She cuts her own hair, which drives me batty, and he cleaned that up for her without losing length. . .and so she was not upset. The salon is nice inside and had friendly stylists that I had noticed others had returned to see. It was my first hearing about the place, and we were visiting from out of town, after years of being away, when I had lived here for many years prior. Ample parking.
