But in here, I saw a gorgeous girl with the most amazing style and colour in her head, so I asked her about the magician's name. She gave me the clue: Jocelyn at Cabello/Hair... I called one Monday and nobody answered (cuz they're off that day), but the more I saw that girl's amazing hair, the more I got obsessed... I was out of town and didn't respond right away, and he was assertive enough to follow up with me, very friendly and professional. We booked the queen and king for a Day package in from the moment we walked in we were met with smiling faces and greetings. My treatment started with a full body scrub, went onto a massage, and then a lovely facial. Maria was wonderful! After my body treatment, I had a spa pedicure and Evelyn was equally as delightful and very good. The building is an unassuming little house which was converted into the day spa. Inside it is tasteful and well-laid out. This is a little hidden gem about 20 minutes from where we were staying in Corktown near downtown Detroit. If I'm in Detroit again I will definitely book with La Vida, it was great!

In said call he did offer me to come back when him and his wife were home to get the service again on them and he would have his wife do it, so it was done correctly. So now I am here writing this review. I wanted to take my bestie for the scrub/massage for her Christmas gift and figured since I have the free one, I will join her (we always go together anyways) We are just booking for May 9th as with life this was the only time we could get in together. Well Frank just called and said he did not offer me a free one and that I got a discount that day. I said OK sure I got a discount but 88$ for a sugar scrub ok whatever. He made it seem like I needed the free service, I don't I can pay for myself but when you are offered a free service for the service you didn't get then to now turn around and change your mind and say you don't remember saying that, is crazy to me. Jessica was very warm and friendly, offered some suggestions on the look I was trying to accomplish and the end result was simply amazing. I had my visa out ready to give a deposit for it she told me not worry about it until closer to the date. I watched her write down all my information and she said we were all good to go for August. My sister went there December 14 (2015) to get my mother a certificate. My sister asked about my wedding being booked there and the girl at the desk had no information on me and that there was another group booked there for that day. I called to find out what was going on and the same girl my sister talked to said no there is no information about me attending the Dry Parlour on my wedding day. She said that the owner would have to call me back. Well it's been a week and the owner hasn't called me back. I guess I shouldn't hold my breath for a response from her.
