Stylist stole from us after shoddy work on wedding day, owner did nothing.
I chose Cabello for my mom's and my hair on my wedding day because it was the only salon open on a Sunday that I could find. HUGEST mistake I could have made.
I sensed something wrong when my stylist would not make eye contact and was unfriendly, but I tried to ignore it as maybe she was having a bad day. She was rushing her work so I had to explain that we were having wedding photos today and it needed to look just so. After she finished, part of my hair came undone and when I pointed this out, she said she had noticed but didn't offer to fix it. I had to insist and wait.
The total she gave my mother was about twice what we'd been quoted. When my mother questioned this, the stylist became hostile towards her and my mother felt bullied into handing the money over- had I been in the room, I would not have let this occur.
When my mom later told me this, I called Cabello to ask why we'd been overcharged. The woman I spoke to told me that the stylist had written half the collected amount on the books, which means the stylist lied and pocketed the difference. The same thing happened for my mother's services.
When I attended to discuss this with the owner, he repeatedly avoided meeting with me until I refused to leave. When I explained the situation, he did not even offer to make things right. He agreed that the stylist had stolen, but nothing came of it- my mom and I were not compensated in any way. This is not a way to run a business or to treat paying customers! I am disgusted.
To add insult to injury, my mom's stylist did a poor job, not listening to what she wanted done, and my mom ended up being locked out of my ceremony because she'd been trying to salvage her hair. So my mom missed watching her only daughter get married because these thieves didn't give a darn about their work. read more
