They did exactly what I wanted and I got real short hair. The posted price for a haircut was $17.95, but when I checked out they said the price was $10! That's a real good price and I should have asked whether it was a special or why the price was reduced. Service was very friendly and I'll definitely be back.

Unfortunately upon arriving, I was greeted by the receptionist who check me in clearly seeing I had my daughter with me and told me I could have a seat and wait. After waiting 10-15mins, I was then greeted by the stylist who should have done my service to be told they have a strict NO CHILDREN or guest policy and that the policy was sent over to me prior to the appointment via email. That if I could have someone pickup my daughter and they could perform the service. First I would like to address the fact the policy was not sent to me via email because upon booking they did not ask for my email. Secondly how disappointing that this is a women owned business and they chose to implement a no children policy. Sadly I can not base this review on a service that was performed but only on customer service and policy and I would not recommend this business based solely on the policies and the way this situation was handled.

I've never had my makeup done before but I didn't want to do my usual makeup. This was a special occasion and I wanted to look my best. Nikki was amazing. I am new to Pittsburgh and was looking for a new salon to take my bright red hair back to a natural…read morebrown color. My expectations for the color were low so when my finished hair came out black, I wasn't too surprised. That's not necessarily where my issue lies though. Upon the initial consultation over the phone, I made it clear that my hair had a long history when it came to its color, which was why I was requesting a color correction and an all-over dye job. We both agreed to this and discussed the price ($300) which I agreed to. When I arrived, it was clear that Emily was already backed up, to the point that she had me leave and explore the mall for an extra 30 minutes so she could finish up and she STILL wasn't ready. When I finally got in her chair, she began speaking to me as if she had no idea what she was going to do with my hair, as if we hadn't discussed it in detail on the phone. Long story short, she put color remover in my hair and didn't even let it sit for 10 minutes before saying it was "good enough" and rinsing my hair, only for it to look the same as before. Remember, she charged me $300 for this. She also spent the majority of my appointment talking on the phone about her new trashy "TV show" that she's "producing". Then, when she ran an hour over doing my hair into the next girl's appointment, she made it a point to say that it was my fault and that she didn't know she was going to have to correct my color (that is literally the service I booked for). That being said, the color isn't horrible, though it's not what I asked for. Just know that the customer service will be trash and you'll be charged way more than what her work deserves.

No one answers the phones, the shop owner is MISERABLE, and overall the atmosphere was always chaotic. A loud young woman would always be there with a little girl who would scream and trash the place. When I finally asked one of the hairdressers about it I was told she was the daughter/granddaughter of the owner. I JUST found out the owner fired her entire staff (2 of the women while ON maternity leave, how WICKED must you be to do that??!!) Luckily I found my stylist who quickly found a new Salon but I'm thankful I never have to subject myself to that 3 ring circus again! There are other great Salons in Whitehall. Try Hairtique, they've been around for decades bc management KNOWS WHAT ITS DOING.
