It's a long, fairly uninteresting story as to how I wound up here. I'll spare you. I was mostly, however, lured in by the prices. $16 for a quick manicure (and a location in between a few places I had to go) seemed like a deal.
The staff was all very nice and friendly, I do want to say that. And, when I saw that this salon was located in a somewhat sad mall with many out-of-business/vacant store fronts, I was really, really rooting for the underdog. I wanted to find a hidden treasure.
However, the manicure area seems a bit neglected (not to mention the sad towels they're using, that while clean, should probably be delegated to the rag bin). The bottom line, though, is what bums me out and compels me, a usually glass-half-full kinda gal, to give a less than satisfactory rating and review.
My manicure lasted less than 2 days. Now, I'll admit that I am hard on my hands/nails. However, I've gotten $20 manicures that lasted at least 2 weeks under similar conditions. $8 a day just seems like a rip off. I can't see myself going back. read more
