I was able to make an appointment same day and thankfully on Mother's Day weekend! I got a full set acrylic, medium length coffins with four fingers having designs which only took them about 45 minutes (with a massage thrown in)! They were fast but also personable while doing my nails. I'm dying to come back for their pedicure packages as their massages looked to die for read more

I came in right when they opened for a walk in shellac basic pedicure and I was seated immediately. I was greeted by everyone and the environment was so friendly and clean! The pedicurist made sure I liked what he was doing the entire time. I really enjoyed the experience and he was super quick! I will definitely be back for my next pedicure. read more

The service was great, very relaxing environment. Easy booking online and no wait time with appointment. This was my first time here and I would definitely drive the distance just to come back and would recommend to my friends in the area read more

I am extremely disappointed with my experiences at Venus Nails & Spa. I have gone there three separate times to get my eyebrows waxed, and every single time the technician did exactly what I specifically asked her not to do. I gave them multiple chances because I understand people can have off days, but after my most recent appointment, I will never be returning. I came in around 2 PM, and the salon was not busy, yet I still had to wait about 15 minutes. During that time, they kept trying to upsell me on nails and extra services multiple times. I understand it's a business tactic, but after a while it becomes frustrating and pushy. When I finally got taken back, the eyebrow wax was done poorly. There was still so much stray hair left around my brows, which completely defeats the purpose of getting them waxed in the first place. To make matters worse, I had a birthday coupon for $10 off any service, and they initially tried to tell me I couldn't use it. After going back and forth, they finally accepted it, but the whole situation was unnecessary and uncomfortable. Despite the poor service, I was still planning to leave a tip, but the technician turned her back and walked away before I even had the chance. What makes this even more frustrating is that they act like they are the best nail salon in Woodhaven, yet when you look up lists of top nail salons in the area, their name does not consistently stand out the way they seem to claim. There are several other salons in Woodhaven that are more prominently listed alongside or above them in local directories. Overall, this was a horrible experience, especially after giving them three opportunities to get it right. I would not recommend this place for eyebrow waxing. read more

I called ahead and booked an appointment to this place, when I called I asked if they could do nail art, because I wanted flowers to match my prom dress, she said that they could do that. When I got there I showed the girl a picture of what I wanted and she started passing my phone around the entire salon, I'm assuming asking if anyone could do that. When she came back she told me she couldn't do it but she will apply the acrylics and the other girl would do the design. A little while later the girl who was going to do the design came up to me with stickers. I was very disappointed. The shape of the acrylics is horrible and messed up, she got glue all over my fingers that I am still picking off, and she nicked me with her tool and made me bleed. I do not like reviewing places let alone giving places bad reviews, but I had to do that for this place read more

I will NOT go back! I've been to this nail salon several times because it's close to home. Every time I have gone here, they say the wait is 5-10 minutes, which always turns over an hour!!! The nail tech was not in a good mood and took it out on my nails. She was super rough and I had to pull my hand back multiple times. She literally sliced my skin open around my nails FIVE TIMES! People make mistakes, I get it, but she was rude. She made me feel like it was my fault I was bleeding and I told her this was not okay. She didn't care, didn't apologize. Nothing... Every time I go, my nails are mediocre at best. Going to the salon should be relaxing and it never is when I come here. Save your time and money. Find yourself a better nail salon. read more

Was getting a pedicure when one of the nail techs decided to wear her face mask as a chin shield. When kindly asking if she would wear the mask, responded "I don't give a shit." Sorry Venus. Can't come back until blue hair chin shield is gone. read more

LOVE this place! Jolie is not only the best nail tech but an amazing conversationalist. Such a clean salon, I've even seen the owner run after a client who walked it and wasn't happy about the wait time. They go above and beyond making you happy. my complaint is always the same with Venus. I go there for convenience. But every time I make an appointment, they have me sit for 15 min and then take the walk-in that came at the same time as me. I've been going for years and it's always the same. Advice, if you're willing to take appointments, honor the time. People also have other things to do, I happen to be on my lunch hour and don't have time to just sit idle. read more

Went in and asked for a soak off of acrylics and a gel manicure. After having to ask for a soak off three separate times, the tech stuck a nail tip under each of the acrylics on my nails and tore them off - painful to say the least. The shellac manicure that was done is great, but my nails are sensitive from having acrylic ripped off of them yesterday instead of being soaked off as requested. read more

110% WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GOIMG HERE!! I took my little sister to get my nails done with me last week, by the time I had picked her up our normal place was closed so we decided to try this place instead. The lady was extremely rude to my little sister and her being as young as she is didn't want to say anything unfortunately, I wasn't aware of this until AFTER I PAYED AND LEFT. I had just gotten a full done, and changed the shape of only my pinky to almond while my ring finger is all completely gems. I paid $50 which is kind of pricey for a fill, but I decided to keep my mouth shut because I understand everything is going up right now, my sister got a new set all white and IT WAS THE SAME PRICE WHEN PRICES WERE WRITTEN ON THE WALL, but I still kept my mouth shut, and just paid them. But when we had gotten in the car I made a comment about her nail color and she looked at me and told me that's not what she really wanted. She had asked for all black nails so they could match every outfit, and the lady told her she DIDNT LIKE THAT COLOR AND IT WAS SUMMER. To me that's straight up bad customer service even if they were the most hideous Nails that she wanted (which they weren't it was just a simple color) they are still not the ones who were paying for it, nor had to look at the color for however long they last. I've been working in customer service myself since I was 16. I wish she said something sooner, because I would've told her to take them off her because I wasn't paying $50!! For something SHE DIDNT EVEN ASK FOR, or to at least change the color to what she asked for. So I give them a -12/10 just for THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER, AND THE FACT like THEY WANTED $50 for a plain set when I just had gotten my nails done at a more pricey place, with a lot better service then theirs for only $45 and that was still with gems, to be fair it was a lot less gems then I got this time, but regardless a plain set of nails FROM THEM SHOULD NEVER BE $50 ESPECIALLY WHEN U HAVE THE AUDACITY TO MAKE A YOUNGER CHILD FEEL LIKE CRAP FOR THE NAIL COLOR SHE WANTED THEN TELLING HER NO!!!! I have been coming here for a few years and I have never been more disappointed this past time was the worst mani/pedi I have ever had!!! I have come in multiple times and brought my family and my husband and it was awesome. This time has made me want to not come back ever again!!! I certainly won't! My pedi was maybe 5 minutes long. No scrubbing with exfoliator and no lotion. Horrible! 3 minute soak and polish yet charged me for a deluxe pedicure. My shellac manicure doesn't even cover my nails! I am so disappointed. I have to find a new place cause I will not be back after 3 years of being a loyal customer. Lisa the manager could have cared less a loyal customer was dissatisfied. I will not be back I will take my business somewhere else! I won't be treated badly and ripped off when I have been a loyal customer! I also specifically asked for Helen and walk ins got her when I made an appt! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. My sister and I decided to have "girls day" and get our nails done ... choosing to visit Venus nails was the BIGGEST mistake we've made in a while. Not only did we have to wait over an hour, both nail techs were incredibly rude and did a horrible job. I said "ouch" and pulled my hand away over 5 times and even slipped up and screamed "f&ck!" at one point because the nail tech hurt me so bad. The shape was wrong, the basic French tip I requested was uneven and they even tried charging me an extra $20 for "design" when they initially said it would be $10. I had the worst experience ever. Do yourself a favor and visit woodhaven nails or nail garden instead. read more

I'm a license cosmetologist so I know the difference between short and long nails. I have a long nail bed so I cuts my nails down before going to get service. Tony does a great job on my nails but the owner Lisa tried to overcharge me for service 2 times in January/March. She comes over to his station speaking in her native language when he's doing my nails. In January she tried to charge me extra for two tone colors when I only got one color filled in at my base. March 22, she came over speaking in her language to him and charge extra for long nails on to my service when I cut my nails down before coming into nail salon. Then she said it took to long for him to do my nails cause his other clients had to wait. When I called to come in he had someone else he was doing, so they started me up with my pedicure while he was finishing up his client which I was sitting in water for 45min before he got to service me. ( I didn't complain about). While he did my feet he soaked off my old overlay. His takes his time so that he does an excellent job which causes his time to overlap with other clients. So when he got to my nails to do two tone overlay my nails was already short he didn't have to charge me extra. The owner Lisa never went over to any of the staff /workers and stand over the White clients and speak in her native language to the workers. But 3 times she done this to me cause I am BLACK ... I been going off and on for over 6years. And I have had some bad experiences with different nail tech , but always try to good them the benefit of doubt and give them another chances. My service was$35 for pedicure, 2tone overlay and a soak off was $65 =$100 She tried to charge me $10 more for long nails we we're going back and forth, how you going to charge me extra for short nails I said I cut them down she said it took him longer to do your nails. That's not my fault that he is slow in doing his work. Timing is everything she didn't go over there while he was doing that White Client while I was was sitting in water waiting on him for (45min )to get to me and speak in her native language to charge the White client extra for time. I ended up paying $105 plus tip $5 for him. Lisa you will not get good reviews when you are trying to get over on Black clients and shady overpriced on services that is not done. read more

I was cleaned place and ever people nice and a good job my nails have lefted this long it was worth spending $30 dollars and go back.

This place has turned into a nightmare. Every time it's a 30+ minute wait not matter what day/time it is. The turnover rate of employees has really led to poor quality nails. read more

Worst place ever! I called day of to see if they were busy. The lady on the other line told me they were NOT busy so come on in. I get there and have to wait about 45 min (no biggie). My pedicure last about 75 min. All I got was a cut and polish. No foot massage or lotion. I had a new girl(totally fine) but they should have asked me or had an experienced tech help her. The girl felt bad. And In her defense, again, she should have had someone help her. I am now on my way to a different salon to have my toes fixed. The polish job and cut looks like a 4 year old did my toes (she really did try). Oh and I still payed 25.00. They did offer to have someone else fix my toes, however, I had enough! read more

Jolie always does amazing work! Never have been disappointed here. Other staff are very helpful too.

I went here for the 1st time ever and I was not disappointed. I left my old salon (nail garden) due to their poorly done shellac jobs, not doing what I asked for, and their horrible customer service. This place is completely the opposite. Wonder costumer service! I had my shellac on for over 2 weeks now and they look just as amazing. While I was getting my nails filed, I kept coughing. The lady got up, grabbed me some tissue, a bottle of water, and hard candy. Never was I treated so good from the other place. Venus.... you guys rock! Keep up the amazing work and costumer service read more

I was able to be serviced as soon as I walked in even though I was 30 min early for my appointment.
